For the Bike Shelter project I worked on Franco Chen’s design, which he called the Linear Wrap. One can start at any point on the proect and trace their way bacl to the original point they started at. The shelter was designed to fit in a standard parking spot, and the design utilized every inch of that space. The shelter creates a sense of seperation allowing the visiters a certain degree of seperation from the outside world. There are two benches and the bikes can be tied up to anywhere around the wrap. The Linear Wrap was awarded Third Place in the competition.

Kings Road House: Rudolph Schindler Rudolph Schindler was born in 1887, to a middle class Austrian family in Vienna. After moving to the U.S. he worked under Frank Lloyd Wright, and was greatly nese architecture, which can be clearly seen in the Kings Road House. The house is a pentagon shape, which allows the indoor and outdoor space to blend together. Schindler believed in communal living, so the house is designed for two families. Schindler and Neutra lived in the two wings at one time. There are no bedrooms in the house rather there are two sleep by the warm climate of los Angeles Schindler tried to create as many interactions with the outdoors as possible.
The Reading Space is located in the Jinhua Architecture park. The Park in China is designed by Ai Weiwei. The Reading Space was formed by complex polygonic shapes, so every space is unique. Reading Space encourages it’s visitors to interact with the spaces it creates and each other. It also provides more personal spaces where people can curle up with a book.
