THE MANAGER

NATHAN JONES Good evening and welcome virtually to another tough Sky Bet Championship match under the lights at Kenilworth Road.

We are 16 points better off after 28 games of the season than was the case last year, but our aim now is to look up and build on what we already have. We believe we should be higher than we are and it is important now, in this period of Saturday-Tuesday matches that we have for the next five weeks, to put a sequence of results together to back up our ambitions.

E M O C N O U YO TERS AT We come into the game in good spirits after Saturday’s win at Birmingham gave us some reward, in terms of points, for the performances that the players have put in over recent weeks. We certainly didn’t get the return that we deserved from a tough run of away fixtures that included Brentford and Blackburn, so to grind out a 1-0 win at St Andrew’s was welcomed – and fully deserved.

Simon Sluga didn’t have a save to make and if we defend as well as we did, we always believe that we will create a chance at the other end to win the game. That came in scrappy fashion, but from a set piece that we have worked on in recent times, and it was good to see Pottsy back on the scoresheet. It might have been more comfortable with Collo having an early opportunity and Jordan Clark bringing a good save out of the keeper soon after the goal, but a 1-0 win away from home is the perfect result and we were more than happy to take it.

Facing Cardiff now is as difficult a task as there is in the Championship, with the form they have been in since Mick McCarthy was appointed last month. Mick is a good friend, as well as a top manager, and with my connections to south Wales and having been a youth player there, I always want to see them do well. But he will understand that I hope their recent upsurge can continue AFTER tonight’s game, as warm as the pre-match welcome to Mick, Terry and their staff and players will be.

I must also welcome Phil Chapple and Jay Socik to the club as part of our recruitment team. Jay has been working with Gary and the club for the past year and now comes on board full-time, while Phil is someone I’ve known for several years and have worked with before. I thank the board for making these two appointments that in my opinion have moved the club forward, and we are delighted to have them both on board.

Whether you are watching on Sky or iFollow tonight, I hope you enjoy the game. We know it’s tough at the moment, but your support is so much appreciated by us all and hopefully it won’t be long now before we can get the green light to welcome you back to this wonderful old place again. Stay safe and COYH!

MIKE HERRICK I wish we could welcome Cardiff City, our visitors tonight, with our customary hospitality but after almost a year of this pandemic we’re getting used to this strange way of living. We’ll certainly look to avenge our heaviest defeat of the season at their hands last November. It’s a while since I wrote any boardroom notes but it’s particularly nice to do so on the back of a terrific result on Saturday at Birmingham – not a happy hunting ground for us in recent memory. It’s not the same as being there but I must admit that watching on iFollow from the warmth and comfort of your own home did have advantages over getting your assets frozen in order to watch live in an empty stadium. I think that Gary and David deserve our thanks for braving the elements to represent us at every game this season. Having even a few fans present, however, in our games against

Norwich and Preston showed just what a difference that makes. Surely it can’t now be long before we’re able to reach a point where we can safely allow fans to return. Despite the godsend of iFollow, it’s the lack of contact with friends and family that most of us find so difficult. Life goes on though and, strange to say, I must admit things like board meetings can actually be enhanced with the use of Zoom. We’re able to meet more often, more easily and more efficiently than with live meetings – particularly since we have two directors based in the US and one temporarily marooned in Australia. There were discussions aplenty during the recent transfer window. People

realise that we are not in the market to spend millions on ready-made players from a higher level. Our route to continued success will be based in the main on identifying and signing younger players with the potential to become stars of the future.

You are, in fact, the perfect example of what our academy has produced and this is why we are so keen to elevate its status. Like all of our supporter base we were surprised and dismayed with the recent setback to our plans in this direction. We are not known, however, for ever giving up and we fervently hope that others will see the benefits that a thriving academy and football club can bring to this town that we all call home. To all of you tonight, wrap up warm, keep safe, and keep your strong support and encouragement. Best wishes, Mike.

JJ'S CUP SHIRT To others it is probably just another Luton Town shirt, to me it represented my greatest day ever, on a football pitch.

wonder who caught it all them years ago?” Social media is a powerful thing, so why not after almost a decade to try and make an effort to see if anyone just might still have it? After all, it could be just collecting dust in someone’s draw, meaningless to them. To me, it would complete my brilliant memorabilia of the day I re-live every day.

The 26th January 2013 - Norwich City 0-1 Luton Town - the day I got giddy after setting up Scott Rendell at Carrow Road. A 21-year-old me, throwing my historic match shirt into the bouncing away end after the full-time whistle in Norfolk.

What a response and what an effort from the Luton Town faithful. Shared far and wide through Twitter. 106,673 accounts were to see my tweet in a plea to find my shirt. One week after trying to find it, nothing at all and no sight of the shirt. Two weeks after, still nothing. Fifteen days after my initial tweet, someone got in touch.

The moment and jubilation of what had just happened got hold of me. Off came the shirt, my right arm launching it as far in to the hysterical Hatters fans as I could. I was too busy celebrating to see who had caught it, it could have been a young boy, it might have been someone who had followed Luton Town for years who plucked it out the air as the EasyJet sponsored shirt flew towards them.

A gentleman by the name of Justin Hammond, a lifelong Hatter, believed he had the precious shirt. Was he at Carrow Road that famous day? No. After speaking with Justin on the phone I was to find out he had purchased the shirt via eBay a few years ago. A collector of old Luton Town shirts, he wanted it as part of his collection.

Fast forward eight years, sitting in my parents' Leighton Buzzard home. The Canary-slaying Adidas predators still in the wardrobe, the trusty left boot which rolled the ball to Scott alongside the right boot that helped me run down the wing to latch on to Stuart Fleetwood’s pass, a shrine around my bedroom to the momentous day. One thing missing - my shirt from that day. “Where could it be? I

A great person, I was on the phone to him for 40 minutes talking all things Luton Town. He kindly agreed to swap my beloved Norwich City shirt for another one I have from my time at Kenilworth Road. What a kind thing to do, what a brilliant individual. I’m so thankful to everyone who helped me find my shirt, my memorabilia of the day now complete. Thank you! Once a Hatter, Always a Hatter. DAN POTTS Defender Dan Potts hopes the Hatters can take confidence from Saturday’s win at Birmingham into this evening’s match in front of the Sky cameras. Pottsy was in the right place at the right time to score his first goal since October 2019 to help the Hatters claim a valuable three points on the road against the Blues – a first win at St Andrew's since 1986, when Mick Harford (pictured above congratulating Dan) netted the winning goal. “We knew we had to do the basics well and I thought we did that to a man.” Potts admitted. “We got the goal and I thought we defended really well from the front and we managed to see it out and get the win.” The 26-year-old was certainly pleased to get himself back on the scoresheet too, admitting: “A few of the lads have reminded me, it has been a long time (since last scoring). I should have scored last week against Huddersfield, that was annoying. I made up for it this week and hopefully there is a few more to come.” All five of Luton’s away victories in the league this season have finished 1-0, and a resolute defence is pleasing for the left-back.

“If you don’t concede, you only need one goal and that seems to be a common thing for us this year – 1-0 away wins. We went to Bournemouth and we were unlucky in the Blackburn game. “We were disappointed the way the goal went in and as I said, if you don’t concede, the minimum you get is a 0-0, so at the moment it is good because it’s only taking one goal to win games, especially away from home.” Pottsy heaped praised on manager Nathan Jones, whom he credits for continuously pushing him to be a better player as the season progresses. “He has always been good to me," says the former West Ham youngster who was making his 150th league appearance, and 166th overall, for the Hatters on Saturday. "He is always pushing me, wanting more and it works well, it is something I always thrive on. It is healthy constructive criticism. “You never want to be comfortable. You never want to be complacent because then you take your foot off the gas. You want to keep pushing and striving. “I think that is replicated in where we are now, we are a few wins away from really doing something. That is the mentality within us now, we’re looking up and back-to-back wins would certainly help that.” Looking ahead to tonight’s fixture, Potts expects another difficult challenge as with all games in the Championship. “It is going to be another tough game. Earlier on this season they got one over on us so we will definitely be trying to put that right, that is for sure.” Words: Dan Briard

TOM LOCKYER

The Hatters defender spoke to the Luton Town Supporters' Trust podcast last week Hatters defender Tom Lockyer freely admits that ambitions of being a Wales international and a regular in the Championship were once a far-fetched dream back when he was playing in the National League in 2015.

He and Sonny Bradley have formed a solid partnership in the heart of defence and Lockyer was keen to praise the former Plymouth Argyle man for his efforts on the pitch amid a difficult time in his personal life. “He’s a dominant ball winner so I think we complement each other’s games quite well. He’s a great leader as well on and off the pitch. Like you said he has been through hard times at the minute but it’s credit to the geezer himself that he hasn’t let his performances slip in any kind of way because that is a lot done than said.

But fast forward to now, Lockyer, 26, has 13 international caps to his name and has been a regular for the Town since “People just think you can get on the pitch and leave your trousigning from Charlton Athletic at the start bles on the sideline, it isn’t always the case. LUTON TOWN LADIES 5 WROXHAM 0 The Hatters put in a five-goal and five-star display against Wroxham last Sunday to earn themselves a home draw against Cambridge City Ladies in the second round qualifying of the Vitality Women's FA Cup. The game started evenly, Wroxham shading possession in the opening ten, but Town had their first clear cut opportunity a couple of minutes later, Leyah Maddix breaking from right-back and leaving it for Jess McKay, whose cross was put behind on the volley by Dionne Manning.

Wroxham had their first opportunity on the half-hour mark, but it could have been three moments later, Henman (involved again) had a one-on-one saved before Manning’s chipped effort fell just the wrong side of the post. In the minutes before half time, Henman won a penalty after her cross hit a Wroxham arm, which was subsequently saved, the keeper guessing the right way to keep out Manning’s effort. Then seconds later McKay hit the post with a long-range effort. It took until the 65th minute for the Town to score a third, McKay chipping the ball over the top once more for Manning to smash home first time.

ON THE GOALKEEPER

DILLON PHILLIPS Goalkeeper Dillon Phillips began his career at Charlton Athletic, but would get his first taste of first-team football out on loan at the likes of Whitehawk, Bishop’s Stortford, and Cheltenham Town.

THE MANAGER

MICK

McCARTHY Vastly experienced Irishman Mick McCarthy is the new man at the helm at the Cardiff City Stadium, having replaced Neil Harris who was sacked last month. As a player, he played for the likes of Manchester City, Lyon, and Barnsley, before entering management as player-manager at Millwall. McCarthy’s managerial CV also boasts spells at Sunderland, Wolves, Ipswich, as well as two separate stints as manager of the Republic of Ireland national side. He also had a two-month spell in Cyprus managing APOEL Nicosia before he returned to the Football League to manage Cardiff in January.

The 2018/19 season saw the 25-year-old finally take the number one spot at the Addicks, featuring in 27 league games as Charlton were promoted into the Championship. The following season, he played in all 46 league games in the second tier under Lee Bowyer. In October 2020, he left The Valley for Cardiff. Phillips made his Championship debut for the Bluebirds in their 2-0 Severnside Derby win over Bristol City earlier this month.

DEFENDER

PERRY NG One of the new signings at the Cardiff City Stadium in January, Perry Ng joined the Bluebirds from League One side Crewe Alexandra. Coming through the academy system with Crewe, the 24-yearold progressed into the first team, and also spent time away on loan at Hyde United before returning to the Railwaymen. Ng went onto become a regular under David Artell and captained the side to promotion from League Two last season. The full-back was also named in the PFA League Team of the Year for 2019/20, before making the switch to South Wales last month for an undisclosed fee.

RADAR MIDFIELD

LEANDRO BACUNA A product of the academy at Eredivise side Groningen, Leandro Bacuna went onto become a regular in the Dutch top flight, playing for his hometown side. In 2013, he moved to the Premier League, signing for Aston Villa. The 29-year-old spent four years at Villa Park, making over 100 league appearances for the club. Bacuna then moved to Reading, spending 18 months at the Madejski Stadium before his next move to Cardiff, joining the Bluebirds in January 2019. Internationally, he plays alongside brother Juninho, the Huddersfield midfielder, for Guus Hiddink’s Curacao side – where Leandro is the nation’s top goalscorer.

STRIKER

SHEYI OJO One of two Liverpool loanees in the Cardiff squad, Sheyi Ojo began his youth career at MK Dons before joining Liverpool as a 14-year-old. For the Reds, Ojo has made 13 appearances in all competitions, scoring his only goal in the FA Cup against Exeter City. He made his Premier League debut in March 2016, in a loss against Southampton. Ojo has spent the majority of his career at Liverpool away on various loan spells. During his time at Anfield, the 23-year-old has played for Wigan, Wolves, Fulham, Reims, and Rangers, before joining Cardiff on loan in the summer.

KEEP AN EYE ON...

KIEFFER MOORE

Welsh international striker Kieffer Moore began his footballing career in non-league, playing for the likes of Truro City and Dorchester Town. His first spell in the Football League was a two-year stint at Yeovil Town, before he joined Norwegian side Viking on a one-year deal. Spells at Forest Green, Torquay, Ipswich and Rotherham all followed, before Moore signed for Barnsley in January 2018. The 28-year-old spent 18 months with the Tykes, signing for Wigan in the summer of 2019. After a solitary season at the DW Stadium, Moore signed for Cardiff in August 2020. Words: Ryan Payne

CLUB HISTORIAN ROGER WASH DELVES INTO HIS ARCHIVES...

After a great start to the 1936/37 campaign the Town were suffering a mid-season wobble. Having lost three games out of four over the Christmas period they had lost top spot in the division, albeit by only one point. The new year brought Cardiff City to Kenilworth Road where, in front of a crowd of 12,368, the

Hatters refound their form and crushed the Bluebirds 8-1. ‘Ten-goal’ Joe Payne also rediscovered his shooting boots, having gone an unprecedented three games without finding the net, by bagging four, including a penalty. Winger George Stephenson also weighed in with a hat-trick. Pictured is Payne scoring one of his goals at the Kenilworth Road end. THE PRESS BOX

TheLutonian.com editor JAMES CUNLIFFE looks ahead to pints, points and punters! Tonight marks the first of three home games in the next four. If you weren’t one of the lucky few to get an early Christmas present, then the third of these, against Sheffield Wednesday, will kick-off two days short of a full year since this glorious old ground was last full.

All hail the ale! The pubs will be open in two months.

E M O C N O U YO TERS T A Sort of. The reports are that, if Covid cases continue to fall, you'll be able to stand outside your beloved but beleaguered battle-cruiser, cradling a Carling in spring showers.

But, if this is no joke come April Fool’s Day, then football needs the same return roadmap. Pubs and the hospitality industry spent millions upgrading their facilities, changing their ways to become Covid safe, adhering to unscientific curfews and having a substantial meal made of how they could trade, only to be thrown under a 'rona-riddled bus.

Yet, Public Health England (PHE) figures showed that between August and October, 5.4% of Covid-19 outbreaks were recorded in food and drink businesses, compared to education (26.4%), care homes (29.6%) and workplaces (21%). The indoor effects are well-known, but PHE researchers also say that chances of infection outdoors are greatly reduced. As chairman David Wilkinson reported in his Huddersfield programme notes, to the club's knowledge there were no new cases reported as a result of the 3,000 that got to watch resounding victories over Norwich and Preston in December.

Football needs fans. As someone that's lucky enough to still sit in the Kenny Press box, I can tell you the empty ground novelty never made it out of the tunnel for the post-lockdown Preston draw. I’m not suggesting the end of Lockdown Season Two is the cue for 10,000 Hatters back at HQ, but Sunday's success of 15 million vaccinations is cause for hope that the era of the glorified practice match is on its last legs. And, if this jab programme is a marker that means pubs can open their doors – or at least pass pints through them to punters outside – then there really needs to be solid evidence to show why a few thousand Hatters, under the lights for the visit of Barnsley on Monday April 5, wouldn't be hunky dory.

Theoretically, Town could even have secured another season in the second tier by then. I reckon 55 points should do it, which would be just deserts for a side that, statistics show, have achieved the biggest Championship points swing (16) from this time last term.

They've built on the Great Escape heroics that weren't afforded the final whistle fandemonium they deserved in July. So, another unsung season finale is saddening, particularly if there's already postulation over pubs. Football must not be forgotten. If anything, the healthier intoxication would be your cheers for a fine mid-table finish (or better). I’d drink to that.

THE CAMERA NEVER LIES

Pictured are three managers of the Town although they did not know it at the time! New manager John Moore (centre) introduces his recently appointed coaches, Ray Harford (right) and Jim Ryan (left) in the summer of 1986. Moore resigned from the post after overseeing a record seventh place finish in the top-flight in 1986-87 to be replaced by Harford, who was in charge for that glorious day at Wembley in 1988. To complete the set, Ryan replaced Harford in 1990 and then saw the Hatters through two last day escapes from relegation.

ACADEMY UPDATE

A insight into the academy and our bright young prospects with ANDY AWFORD U21s The U21s continued their varied games programme traveling to West Bromwich Albion last week. A 4-2 defeat was a disappointing result following a very good first half display that saw us 2-0 up after 30 minutes following goals from Dion Pereira and Jake Peck.

Due to Covid restrictions we have not been able to do this as regularly as we would have liked and therefore, it was good to see the younger players make the step up and get some good experience in the U18s team.

E M O C N O U YO TERS AT Two goals in a minute from WBA, just before half-time, saw the game turn and a big learning curve for the players as we were second best for the majority of the second half. The players and staff will regroup this week out on the training pitch and look forward to further tests with game organised against Brentford and Ipswich Town in the next couple of weeks.

U18s The U18s finished their league programme on Saturday with a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Northampton Town. Ben Stevens' goal after 75 minutes earnt us a point after Northampton had taken the lead early in the second half. With a few of the U18 players stepping into the U21s squad at WBA the day before, it was a good opportunity to blood some U16 players into the U18s squad.

We now have an opportunity to organise some fixtures against teams outside of our category as we await our fixtures from the EFL for the second phase of league fixtures which begin on March 20th. Fixtures against Spurs, Ipswich & Millwall are scheduled, and we will look to add to those in the coming weeks as we look to test the players and provide them with different challenges.

Schoolboys Unfortunately, our schoolboy programme (U7s-U15s) is still shut down following instruction from the EFL. We are hopeful that this will reopen very soon. However, Paul Reed & Ross O'Kane, along with the age group coaches, continue to do a great job facilitating the boys 'home' programmes and keeping them all engaged with different and interesting activities.

Fundraising The recent Children's Mental Health Week saw the Academy schoolboys' players and staff put together a series of challenges that raised £1,275. This was in aid of the mental health charity MIND BLMK. A fantastic effort and a huge thank you to Ross O'Kane, the players and staff who took part and also a huge thank you to those who donated to such a worthy cause. Enjoy today's game - COYH! Andy

LUTON TOWN COMMUNITY TRUST JOY OF MOVING WINTER GAMES SET TO REACH OVER 8,000 LOCAL SCHOOL CHILDREN Following last summer's Joy of Moving Home School Festival, the Hatters Trust have this week launched our Joy of Moving Winter Games Festival which so far has seen over 30 local schools signing up to take part, and with schools from all over Bedfordshire including Riseley Primary in North Beds, St Mary’s Primary in Stotfold, Beaudesert Lower in Leighton Buzzard and Beech Hill Primary next door to the stadium, this will enable over 8,000 primary school children the opportunity to take part.

our Winter Games festival, we want to help families and their children get active whilst having fun, right from the comfort of their own homes!

We know it’s been difficult for children to stay active during winter with not much daylight and freezing weather and now even more so, given the challenging times with current restrictions. So, with

So, to provide some inspiration the Joy of Moving Winter Games have created a schools' pack filled with simple games and activities for families to play at home while ‘stay at home’ restrictions and the weather make going outside difficult. Whilst all the games have been designed to be suitable for

We know that being active is good for our physical health, but it can also improve sleep, concentration, our mood, social skills and ability to learn. Therefore, it has never been more important for children to be physically active for the recommended average of 60 minutes each day. The Joy of Moving inspires children to move through play whilst developing key skills in four major areas: physical fitness, motor coordination, cognitive functions and creativity and life skills.

C O

E M O C N O U YO TERS AT all abilities, the key thing they have in common is that they encourage children to get moving while having fun.

YOU vs TRAIN SAFETY CAMPAIGN ‘Everyone loses when you step on the track’

The Winter Games, which follows the successful Joy of Moving Home School Festivals in the summer of 2020, will take the form of a Winter Adventure with an exciting selection of games and activities that families can play along the way.

Believe it or not, it is half-term this week and while lots of our normal activities are unable to take place as usual due to the ‘stay at home’ guidance, this year, the Trust still plans to engage with hundreds of families and young people every day.

Now, in very challenging times, a programme that is usually delivered by coaches in schools has been moved online so that more families and age groups can benefit from the fun games and activities while also making sure that the games can be done in a small space too. Everyone understands that many parents and families are struggling at the moment to keep their children engaged and schools acknowledge home schooling during the lockdown can be challenging!

Normally, school holidays see many children left to their own devices and this can sometimes lead to misfortune. Now, with no school, the number of unsupervised children across town every day has risen and this has increased the likelihood of some being drawn into unhealthy or dangerous pastimes.

We’ll be encouraging all families to share their experiences via our social media platforms and as part of the schools pack parents can also download and print a certificate to celebrate their child’s achievements. For more details on our Winter Games Home School Festival, PE co-ordinators can receive the schools pack by contacting James.Hatch@lutontown.co.uk

Our online safety programme to keep youngsters off the train tracks has never been more important each day, not just during school holidays, and with our partners at the EFL Trust and Network Rail, we are running a social media campaign to keep kids off the tracks which we plan to transfer into our PSHE classroom activity after Easter. Keep a look out for our posts and in the meantime kids, stay off the tracks because ‘Everyone loses when you step on the track’.

Manager Nathan Jones was disappointed his side couldn’t build on their first-half dominance against Huddersfield Town last week.

and they did. They didn’t have anything clear-cut apart from the counter attack late on and I still felt we were a threat as well.

Back at Kenilworth Road for only the second time this calendar year, James Collins had given the Hatters a fantastic start early on but Naby Sarr equalised for the Terriers in the second half, condemning the Hatters to a frustrating draw. "The level of performance I was pretty satisfied with,” the gaffer insisted. “We just needed that second goal. First half I thought we were excellent, we had a number of opportunities, Potts’ chance I think is point-blank, got to score. “He’s got up brilliantly, won the header and you think it’s in everyone on our bench did. I think that would have been the cushion we needed because I thought we were in real control.

“Overall, we have had enough chances and enough opportunities to have taken three points and I’m a little bit disappointed that we didn’t. I thought we were a threat especially from crosses, just disappointed we didn’t get the second goal.” LT

Manager Nathan Jones was delighted his side were able to pick up a second win of the calendar year with a gritty 1-0 victory against Birmingham City.

“We knew second half that they would come on and throw everything at us, they couldn’t put any more big men on, any more attackers on but I thought we were outstanding.

Dan Potts scored the only goal of the game in the 31st minute from close range, enough to lift the Hatters to within three points of seventh place in the Sky Bet Championship. “They are the best wins,” said Jones. “To summarise I don’t think they created a chance, I thought we defended brilliantly. It was a scrappy game, lacked quality. “We probably should have gone in probably further ahead first half cause Collo had a great chance and obviously Pottsy scored, so we could have extended our lead and got a bit more of a cushion.

“Got first contact on everything, defended the box, lacked a little bit of quality, but a win is a win. It was a magnificent battle and a great performance.”

LAST SEASON: 15TH IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP TWITTER: @STOKECITY COLOURS: RED & WHITE SHIRT, WHITE SHORTS GROUND: BET365 STADIUM

Stoke were founded in 1863 and are the oldest professional Football League club in the world, forming part of the 12 founder members of the Football League in 1888. The Potters' last piece of major silverware came in 2000 when they won the Football League Trophy, in addition to their League Cup victory back in 1972. Stoke’s last piece of league silverware came in 1993 after winning the old Second Division (Third tier).

GROUND?

Stoke’s home ground was built in 1998 and has traditionally been called the “Brittania Stadium”, until changing names in 2016. The bet365 Stadium has a capacity of 30,089, making it the 10th largest stadium in the Championship.

HAVEN’T WE MET BEFORE?

The two sides last met last season at Kenilworth Road in mid-October, as goals from Steven Fletcher and Nick Powell gave The Potters a convincing 2-0 victory in what was the Town’s first home league defeat since the 5-0 defeat to Reading during the Championship restart. Last season, a late James Collins penalty earned the Hatters an important point in what was their last home fixture before the postponement of the season due to the pandemic.

KNOWING ME, KNOWING YOU

Former Hatter Mark Stein, the younger brother of Brian Stein, made 84 appearances for Luton across two spells at the club scoring 22 goals, before going on to make 94 appearances for Stoke. Winger Tom Ince signed for the Hatters on loan on the latest transfer deadline day from the Potters, whilst Sheffield United loanee Rhys Norrington-Davies also joined Stoke in the January transfer window after spending the first half of the season at Kenilworth Road. HELPING FAMILIES ENJOY FOOTBALL AT HOME The ‘homemade waste pipe goal’. Waste pipes, push-fit knuckle bends and some barrier fencing. It doesn’t seem like much, but sometimes it’s all you need to transform your garden into a proper footy pitch.
