FUA - Female Undercut Anchor The Female Undercut Anchor has been on the market for a long time, but all previous anchors have a number of weaknesses. They are either complex to assemble or need expensive assembly equipment. Most competitor products require that a minimum assembly fastening torque be achieved. In addition, with most anchors an exact drilled hole depth is necessary. A UBOLT速-FUA Female Undercut Anchor does not need a torque wrench to ensure that it has been properly installed. There is also no pre-prescribed hole depth for these anchors. Despite the greatly simplified installation process the UBOLT速-FUA will still achieve a guaranteed load capacity and it is cheaper and less time-consuming than comparable products to install.

Setting the ubolt速 -FUA is a simple two stage procedure. Both steps are distinctively simple and thereby dependable and safe. 1. The first step is to insert the anchor as far as it will go into the pre-drilled hole. 2. Smashing the setting pin with a hammer the wedge inside the anchor spreads the expansion sleeve. 3. Sets the teeth of the undercut anchor into the surrounding material. 4. The setting collar is then unscrewed to leave the finished and ready to use anchor. In addition to manual assembly the anchor can be also inserted semi automatically with a special tool and a standard hammer drill.

TURBO mixer The TURBO mixer is an innovatve improvement of the standard static mixers. Patented by Chemfix, this mixer dispenses any chemical anchor cartridge system using less force, with better mixing and less waste than any other mixer currently available. In what substrates do U-HYBRID®- anchor? U-HYBRID®-anchors work in virtually all substrates like masonry, aerated blocks and concrete.
Is it allowed to pre-drill a slanting hole? Of course a slanted hole may be pre-drilled, as long as the diameter corresponds to recommendations.
What is special with a U-HYBRID®-Anchor? This anchor can be used in dry (mechanical) and wet (hybrid) condition.
Does the pre-drilled hole need to be cleaned? In masonry, aerated blocks and concrete the bore should be either blown out or brushed for use with resin. Better performance is achieved if brushed and blown out.
What is the difference between U-HYBRID®Anchors and standard ones? Either you have a mechanical or a bonded anchor. Both types of fasteners have their advantages and disadvantages. A combination of both type of fasteners is new to the market. All advantages from both types have been combined to a single fastener. U-HYBRID®-Anchors can be commonly used for all heavy duty fixings in concrete and masonry. Do U-HYBRID®-Anchors have a better pull-out performance? Compared to a standard Sleeve-Anchor and Bonded-Anchor, U-HYBRID®-Anchors generate almost 30-50% more pull-out performance in concrete or masonry. What happens, if a pre-drilled diameter is to large? In case a pre-drilled diameter does not correspond to recommendations, functionality of the U-HYBRID®-Anchor is no longer guaranteed.

In concrete, what might happen if the hole is not cleaned? In concrete two different effects may occur. First, the debris will make the Anchor get stuck. If stuck, you risk to snap the head off, or the Anchor itself will break. Second, the debris will prevent a bonding effect with the walls of the bore. Chemical bonding happens between debris and anchor, but not between anchor and walls of bore. Is it allowed to reuse an Anchor within the same hole a couple of times? It is strictly forbidden to reuse the same bore a couple of times. In case a U-HYBRID®-Anchor is used more than once, the Anchor will act like a rasper and destroy the walls of the bore. If a UHybrid® is used in combination with resin, it is impossible to remove the anchor.
What happens if a U-HYBRID®-Anchor gets stuck? If an Anchor gets stuck, it gives evidence of a wrong pre-drilled diameter, or the bore is filled with too much debris. Either you clean the hole or you re-drill with a right diameter. If it is still stuck, do not use this hole anymore.

A U-HYBRID®-Anchor works with the complete hole by gripping the concrete and generating an undercut and has much higher loads and additional chemical bonding.
If a hole has been drilled to deep, is it of importance? In case the hole is oversized by depth, there is no influence to the performance of the U-HYBRID ®Anchor, as long as the drilled diameter is right. The longer hole does not influence any performance.
Are drilled holes smaller for a U-HYBRID®Anchor? Compared to similar loads of Standard Anchors, all U-HYBRID®-holes are approximately two-thirds of the size of the Standard Anchor- ones.
What happens, if the hole is not drilled deep enough? A U-HYBRID®-Anchor is designed to work in a pre-defined embedment. The minimum depth of the hole is critical. A hole has to be drilled to a minimum depth. In case of a too short a hole, the U-HYBRID®-Anchor will start spinning and work like a rasper. The walls of the bore are destroyed, the hole diameter will run too big and the U-HYBRID®-Anchor will no longer have a substrate to cut in. Is an U-HYBRID®-Anchor easier to install? Absolutely. No expensive tools or plugs are used. The drilled diameter is smaller. Even pre-drilling in concrete is easier and faster. Do U-HYBRID®-Anchors give any savings? U-HYBRID®-Anchors give time and cost savings. Easier and faster installation saves time and labor. Smaller and cheaper drill bits, no waiting for curing generate cost savings. Do U-HYBRID®-Anchors influence the fire protection class? U-HYBRID®-Anchors have a higher fire protection class. Does a U-HYBRID®-Anchor affect the environment? U-HYBRID®-Anchors have a tremendous effect on the environment. Not using nylon- and plastic plugs will give a positive environmental balance. No oil is used to produce the plugs. A smaller carbon footprint gives a positive energy balance. Where can I use U-HYBRID®-Anchors? U-HYBRID®-Anchors may be used for virtually all applications. All traditional heavy duty Anchors may be replaced with a single U-HYBRID®-Anchor. Do U-HYBRID®-Anchors have major application advantages? U-HYBRID®-Anchors are perfect for any refurbishment. You never know what you are going to hit behind the plaster. A U-HYBRID®-Anchor can handle almost all substrates and will generated a fix. If you don’t know what you are going to hit, a U-HYBRID®-Anchors is the right choice. Why are U-HYBRID®-Anchors not produced in carbon steel? It has been a uip®-decision to produce all Anchors in stainless steel. Stainless steel has a lot of advantages compared to carbon steel. While most stainless steel, like A2-70 (304), are soft on the surface, uip® has developed a stainless steel, branded uip®-80, to overcome this weakness. uip®-80 is stainless steel, but has the physical properties of an 8.8 carbon steel. Why is uip®-80 steel coated? By theory there is no need to coat stainless steel. But stainless steel reacts with aluminum in the long-term. As a result of uip®’s research, a special ‘passivation’ was developed to avoid all reaction with aluminum.

Are U-HYBRID®-Anchors available in bigger diameters? Yes, U-HYBRID®-Anchors are available in diameters from 8-16mm. Diameters bigger than 8mm are considered no longer light duty fixings. Heavy duty fixings have different approval regulations and different construction codes are applied. Heavy duty fixings are handled within a different range of uip®-products. Can U-HYBRID®-Anchors be customized? Absolutely! uip® is not a distributor. U-HYBRID®Anchors are manufactured with German engineering in India. Any length, diameters or head form may be produced on customers’ requests. Do U-HYBRID®-Anchors need any approvals? For light duty Anchors there are no approvals mandatory. Heavy duty fasteners should have ETAG option-1 for cracked concrete or ETAG 7-12 for non-cracked concrete, or ICC equivalents. Who tests U-HYBRID®-Anchors? U-HYBRID®-Anchors have been tested by uip® and independent ETA or ICC accredited test houses in different substrates. Data sheets are available on demand.
