INSPIRATION SOURCE Most of my design inspirations are from traveling. Traveling brings me the enjoyment of natural senses, the understanding of local culture, and the direct experience of successful design works. There are also design inspirations and design expression techniques that burst out in an instant moment. Traveling give my design passion, materials selection, and how to make design according to local conditions. 22

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY Use the basic form, make an elegant design.

WESTMINSTER PARK Location: Oconee county, South Carolina Professor: Robert Hewitt, Hala Nassar Studio: Landscape Architecture Orientation Worktype: Individual work DESIGN STATEMENT After I visiting the site and keep near all photos of site existing environment, I want to design a city-scale multipurpose park for citizens to enjoy their free time. This park can be an agriculture testing field, a large open area for harvest season ceremony. 6

LEE LANDSCAPE Location: Lee Hall, Clemson University Professor: Paul Russlle Studio: Planting design Worktype: Individual work DESIGN STATEMENT During two weeks summer course, I learned and practise to design a site from super quick conceptual sketch to real model. I pick local plantings and use circle and line to combine them. Also, I research on raingarden, and think deep about what this garden’s user wants, as architecture major students, we need a quiet and beautiful place to slow done and enjoy time in natural flowers world. 24

NECKLACE PARK Location: Swamp rabbit trail, Greenville Professor: Paul Russlle Studio: Interdisciplinary Design Studio Worktype: Individual work DESIGN STATEMENT The design intent is to create a multifunctional open space for people to enjoy and learn from nature. The design concept is abstract from Tulip flower which is a very popular flower planting among Greenville. This design enlight the empty space with meditation area for Yoga exercise and music, also, some children playground for chidren to learn and play. In the future, the park will be a very popular place for Greenville citizens to play and refresh. 32

GREEN SCENARIO Location: Charleston, South Carolina Professor: Robert Hewitt, Hala Nassar, Hyejung Chang Studio: Graduation Terminal Work type: Individual work DESIGN STATEMENT Research issues including 1. The phenomenon of sea level rise and its influence on the coastal areas as a global environmental issue. 2. The affected areas and conditions in the Southeast coast. 3. Sea level rise in Charleston. 4. Techniques for sea level rise mitigation in Charleston. 5. Design solutions for sea level rise in Charleston. Research topics The definition of Sea Level Rise related to waterfront condition of Charleston, its associated land uses, open spaces, and its modification to mitigate the effects of sea level rise. Design strategies > Estimate and analysis the flooding effect of this site, divide the site to different flooding zones. > Build flooding prevention barrier, flooding barrier is combine with levee and ecological island. > Cut the site ground into peninsulas, use ecosystems to prevent the flooding issues. > Building green walkable network for the site. 34

Plan

One Lot Lawn Desgin Land cover is poor, we want to make the ground the absorb the water as much as possible. The goal is to have 0 water runoff of yearly water store. This is the example about how the garden can be design and how the residential lawn can be designed to me to run off goals and provide beautiful landscape like those in Charleston gardens. The lawn is covered with trees and layers of vegetation and a permeable pavement. Landscape cover should be native plants from the oak pine forest, a list of 5 plants is included for additional design elements, the building is fitted with green roof.

MARINA PARK PLAN - INTERNSHIP

CLEMSON CAMPUS INTERACTIVE - RESEARCH PROJECT DESCRIPTION OBJECTIVE The Campus Basemap Project aims to create a functional, intuitive, and interactive map of Clemson University which will serve as a useful product for Clemson students, staff, administrative services, and researchers. Anybody at Clemson will be able to use and modify the maps and data for their purposes. ATTRIBUTION 2D- Use GIS data sets for online and desktop use with an appropriate cartographic representation. 3D-Build basemap project includes an online interactive 3D map of campus, Interactive Campus Map

INTERACTIVE 3D MODEL PAGE MAP PROJECT CONTRIBUTION STATEMENT During my internship, I participated in Clemson University Campus Base map Project, I created 66 campus buidlings with SketchUp and collaborate them with 2D map data to create a 3D Interactive map, acts as Search by Mobile App of faculties, students. Interactive Web App: bit.ly/cucampus During my research in CCGT center, I took part in Mapping Tiger Town, which act as a Story Map From Clemson University. I created 3D Interior Model of Cooper Library, Clemson in ArcGIS pro and surrounding environment. It helps to show a 3D visualization of Cooper library test the latest technologies on building interior models in GIS.
