VILLACHAMOUN JUDGE'S COMMENTS:

• The place oozes style, passion and personality. The owners have captured the essence of the 1960s with a bright colour palette and they’ve re upholstered some of the original chairs, working in some great fabric colours. It’s neither cluttered nor minimal, with just enough objects to look at and yet still easy to find the operational fittings in the room.

• Good use of bright rugs softening the hard terrazzo floors, also a great vintage-looking lounge space. What’s not to like? The clever-seated bar area (small but intimate) works well, set back in the hallway next to the staircase - a great use of space!

• You could be in the South of France in the 60s but you're not, you're looking at Hasroun a beautiful part of the Lebanon - a place I now want to pack my bags and jet off to. Vive Le Lebanon!
