The words or phrases we have most frequently used to describe the past year would probably be ‘the COVID-19 era’, ‘Post-Pandemic’, or ‘with the coronavirus’; the pandemic has indeed become part of our lives constantly challenging our everyday routines. Then how does Link Leadership relate to the changes we face in the COVID-19 era? As renowned trend experts tell us, the occurring changes are not solely happening due to COVID-19 but they are rather accelerated and more readily recognized along with the pandemic. You may easily find leadership programs that deal with COVID-19. Due to such an unprecedented era, where physical commute is restricted and team members work from home, it is true that the regular use of digital devices and their applications have a big impact on team building and management. Therefore, there is a growing need for defining the role of a digital savvy leader and applying specific methodologies. Have the essentials for leadership changed? The ideal type of a leader and the necessary qualifications may have been developed and adapted to the changes of time, but we believe that the essentials of a leader are still valid. LBI has developed ‘Link Leadership’ program for young leaders and middle managers, who are both leaders and team members. The program discusses the importance and the essentials of a link leader, who manages upward & downward between the leader and the followers, and the course embraces the relevant theories and case studies aligned with the COVID-19 era. Along with LBI’s self-leadership program, ‘Followership’, we are glad to introduce a leadership program that is more detailed to fit the role of each member in a team. The new ‘Link Leadership’ program will be the best solutions for our clients seeking a leadership program designed for the middle managers across all industries. Thank you. Rachel Kwon President of LBI Korea
