For now, the list is topped by 41.5 metre Foners as the world’s speediest superyacht. Able to reach top speeds of 70 knots – equivalent to 80 miles per hour – the Izar-built yacht has been outpacing her contenders for more than 20 years. But her challengers are not far behind. For adrenaline-seekers with a need for speed, get your pulses racing with our definitive list of the quickest superyachts on the water.

Created with the aim of maintaining high speeds in rough seas, the 36-metre Wally Power 118 superyacht was launched in 2003 following tank testing at the SSPA facility in Goteborg, Sweden, and wind tunnel testing at the Ferrari facility in Maranello, Italy. BRAVE CHALLENGER | 60 KNOTS Built in 1960, Great Britain
Powered by three Rolls-Royce Proteus gas turbines totalling 13,500hp, the 31 metre Brave Challenger has proven top speeds of over 60 knots and can achieve higher speeds using its alternative Vosper-developed high-speed propellers.
Built by Vosper Ltd in Portsmouth in 1961, Brave Challenger is the only surviving example of the Brave Class fast-patrol design that was designed and built for the Royal Navy. Built alongside the Royal Navy’s HMS Brave Borderer and HMS Brave Swordsman, Brave Challenger was completed with a special consent of the Admiralty and Royal Navy to be equipped for private use.
From 2017 – 2021, Brave Challenger has been undergoing a full restoration by the Haydon-Baillie Maritime Heritage Team at the superyacht refit yard Trafalgar Shipyard in Portsmouth. Its dedicated support base now includes 54 spare Rolls-Royce Proteus gas turbine engines, extensive spares, 10 spare V-Drive gearboxes and 12 spare propellers.
First acquired by owner W.G. Haydon-Baillie in 1979, Brave Challenger was rebuilt to flagship standard at a purpose-built facility as part of the Haydon-Baillie Aircraft and Naval Collection in Southampton over a period of 10 years and 2.2 million man hours from 1979 – 1989. “Brave Challenger’s speed of 60 knots+ was officially recorded under Lloyds Supervision over the Measured Mile off Portsmouth, UK, - and is fully repeatable at all times as part of its design and everyday operating potential,” according to owner W.G Haydon-Baillie. “It is often considered that only the fastest yacht speeds that are officially recorded and are not one-off events - and are fully repeatable as part of the yacht’s design and everyday operating potential are relevant to include in the top ten fastest claims.”

When can we travel? Everything you need to know Want to know when you can go on holiday abroad again? Read our coronavirus travel updates guide for the latest news and advice on when you’ll be allowed to travel, fly and cruise again.
When will Coronavirus travel restrictions be lifted? Each country’s approach to travel is changing on a caseby-case basis. Generally, domestic and international travel bans are being lifted once the number of corona virus cases have plateaued or begin to decline. Below, we list the countries that are now planning to ease lockdown measures. French President Emanuel Macron has announced that foreign tourists, including those from the US, can return to France in May if they have been vaccinated. Cyprus has announced that travellers from some EU, EEA countries and the UK can do not need to quarantine on arrival if they can provide proof of vaccination, as of May 10. In Denmark borders could reopen on May 11 while Germany has closed borders to tourists from high-risk countries until May 12. The tourism minister for Greece has announced that the country will reopen borders from May 14. It has been confirmed that the Greek Government will bear the cost of any medical attention required by tourists who catch the virus during their holiday in the country. Travel abroad for UK citizens is currently forbidden except for neccessary purposes, meaning that Brits will only be allowed to travel for staycation holidays within the country’s common travel area which includes Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Travellers unable to offer an accepted reason for international travel could be fined up to £5,000. The earliest date that this rule could be eased is 17 May. Austria is in a state of lockdown but plans to ease hospitality and travel restrictions by May 19. Travel to the US and the islands of Hawaii is still banned indefinitely for anyone travelling from China, Iran, Brazil, the UK, and any Schengen countries. The border closure between Canada and Mexico could be reopened from May 21.

Which countries are open for travel? More and more countries have begun to restart their tourism industries - albeit in a tentative and cautious manner. According to brokerage firm IYC, all foreign travellers can now visit The Bahamas without the need for a COVID-19 test if they are fully vaccinated. The tourism board website for French Polynesia has announced foreign tourists can now return to the islands. Travellers to Monaco will not need to quarantine if they can provide a negative COVID-19 test result on arrival. According to the Croatian tourist board, travellers from the EU and Schengen states can enter without restrictions. Traveller from other countries are allowed without restrictions if they have been fully vaccinated.
Belgium has eased travel restrictions to allow entry for arrivals from the EU. The Seychelles has reopened to all tourists, with no quarantine period required. All travellers will need to present a negative COVID-19 test result on arrival. Mexico has opened borders to travellers without the need for a COVID-19 test or quarantine. According to the Thai tourism board website, foreign nationals can now apply for a special visa to visit Thailand, but they will need to quarantine upon arrival. Sri Lanka has now also reopened borders. Indonesia has reopened its borders to international travellers after many months of strict closure. Asia Pacific Superyachts (APS) has reported that visitors to destinations such as Bali are welcome if they can procure the new e-visa, as well as being able to present a negative COVID-19 test on arrival.
14 Traveling Tips
The Middle Eastern country of Oman has resumed the issuing of tourist visas, but travellers are only allowed to stay for a maximum of 10 days and will need to present a negative COVID-19 test result on arrival. An agreed travel bubble means that travellers from New Zealand are allowed to Australia and vice versa. Any other foreign travellers are barred from entering both of these countries. The British Virgin Islands and St Kitts and Nevis are the latest Caribbean countries to open for tourists. They join Barbados, Jamaica, Bermuda, Dominica, St Barts, The US Virgin islands, Antigua and Barbuda, St Lucia, St. Maarten, Arbuba and the Dominican Republic, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Turks and Caicos and Curaçao. Each of these countries have varying restrictions and protocols in place concerning how travellers can arrive. Until recently, only work related travel was allowed into Singapore. Now, travellers from Brunei, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China can enter for leisure, with varying procedures in place. The borders of South Korea are now open too, but all new arrivals are required to undergo quarantine for 14 days. Click here for more info. Cambodia has reopened borders to tourists from certain countries. However, all foreign nationals arriving into the country must pay a $3,000 deposit at the airport to pay for what Sao Wathana, director of the Phnom Penh International Airport, has called “virus prevention services”. Those who test negative for the virus will only be charged the fees for the test and will receive back the rest of the deposit. In the Indian Ocean, the islands of the Maldives are also open for travel again. The Maldives has also specified that tourists who have received two doses of a vaccine two weeks before departure will not need to test or quarantine on arrival. Traveling f Tips

When can we fly again? Tourists can now resume travel to Chile but will only be able to enter via Santiago airport. Very few international flights are allowed into New Zealand. Currently, Air New Zealand is only operating flights to and from Sydney, Brisbane, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Niue, as well as a one-way only service to Singapore. Most other airports across the world have now restarted international flights, even if operating at a limited schedule. The few countries where airlines remain grounded include India, Myanmar and some South American countries.
When will international flights resume in the UK? Regular flights between countries are once again beginning to pick up after the UK formed ‘air bridges’ with a number of different destinations. Airlines which have now resumed flights to and from the UK include Emirates, TAP Portugal, Virgin Atlantic, BA Wizz Air, Easy Jet, Ryanair, Oman Air and United.

Golf Tips
When will international flights resume in the US? Though some airports are still operated at reduced capacity, a number of US airlines have announced plans to restart flight schedules. American Airlines has now resumed international flights, with procedures in place that will allow passengers on full planes to switch to less crowded flights at no extra cost. Southwest, which operates domestic flights in the US and international flights to the Caribbean, has restarted flights to almost all of its regular destinations (except Nassau in the Bahamas) with special procedures in place.
Delta is still not operating its full flight schedules, but plans to resume flights to most destinations shortly. United Airlines has continued to fly to Europe and South America throughout the pandemic at a reduced capacity and is now begining to resume flights to other international destinations.

Antigua and Barbuda has reopened borders to international marine traffic and is actively encouraging the yachting community to return, with plans afoot to execute all of the yachting events on the racing calendar. Fiji opened its borders to superyachts and other foreign-flagged vessels, despite remaining closed to tourists arriving by air travel. The only port of entry to the country will be Port Denarau Marina, and new arrivals will need to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result before disembarking.
The Maldives is open to land and sea travel for vessels from all countries travelling in the indian ocean, while In the South Pacific, French Polynesia is also welcoming international vessels with those on board required to present negative COVID-19 test results before and after arriving. According to brokerage firm IYC, Croatia is now open again for chartering, with “charter clients / guests allowed to enter the country without any quarantine requirements”. The firm has also announced that Greece is open for yachting and chartering, but has nonetheless encouraged clients to book charter superyachts without a cancellation fee. Other European yachting grounds now open for travel include Cyprus, Monaco and Italy. Those hoping to undertake a northwest passage journey may have to put their plans on hold. Vessels carrying more than 12 passengers will be barred from entering Arctic coastal waters of Canada (including Nunatsiavut, Nunavik and the Labrador Coast) indefinitely. However sailing is allowed in inland rivers and lakes in the Northwest Territories of Nunavut and Yukon.

Traveling Tips
What are travel corridors? Much like ‘travel bubbles’, ‘air bridges’ or ‘travel corridors’ are the result of an agreement between two countries that travellers from either location will not need to quarantine upon arrival. The UK had previously created air bridges with over 70 different countries which it has deemed ‘’no longer pose an unacceptably high risk’’ for travellers but these have no been temporarily closed. Countries with high case numbers of COVID-19, including the US and most of South America, will still need to quarantine. To see the full list of locations which have agreed to a UK travel corridor.
What are travel corridors? Countries with low numbers of reported coronavirus cases are now working together to create so-called ‘travel bubbles’ with one another. This means that people who live within the bubble will be allowed to cross borders without the need to go into quarantine upon arrival. Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania created the first European travel bubble when they opened borders to each other back in May. Most recently, Australia and New Zealand agreed to begin operating a trans-Tasman travel bubble. Officals have announced that a travel bubble will be created between Hong Kong and Singapore so that travellers between the two destinations will no longer have to quarantine. No date for the begnning of this bubble has been announced yet, however. Canada has announced the recent introduction of a travel bubble with the neigbouring provinces of New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador, which means that arrrivals from these areas will not have to undergo quarantine. DREAM
EVERY ONE MATTERS At JPMorgan Chase & Co., it’s a long-held belief that diversity is the currency by which we all grow strong. For decades, this ethos has been reflected in a substantial financial commitment—yet their Global Supplier Diversity did not have an overarching story that reflected their forward-looking vision. They needed an all-encompassing theme that put forward a compelling promise.
ACTION
STRATEGIC APPROACH JPMorgan Chase & Co. wasn’t content to recount their accomplishments. They wanted a clarion call to inspire conversation. Like Global Supplier Diversity itself, the theme would have to bring energy to a wide variety of situations and audiences.

Home to the alluring Aeolian Islands and storied Amalfi Coast, a West Mediterranean yacht charter offers up travel hedonism at every turn. St Tropez anyone? Ideal for the nautical gymnastics of a French Riviera jaunt, how about a chase boat that feels like a superyacht? Alia Yachts unveils an 88-foot coup with the Atlantico. Naturally, the exterior look of the boat reflects that of the 180-foot mothership, Atlante. She is an aggressive explorer-type yacht, and her distinguished owner therefore required an equally capable and high finesse chase boat. With a light-caulked teak deck, pale sofas and sunpads and dark, glossy columns in the deckhouse, Atlantico subtly reinterprets the feel of the mothership. A stylish weekender for exploring shallow bays, she offers both exhilarating speed and the range to cover 600 nautical miles at cruising speed.

Speaking of speed, fancy a fast, sleek and sumptuous sport yacht? There’s a newly updated stunner on the water, ready for action. Meet the stunning 120-foot Bagheera, fresh from a major refit. Her design pedigree is outstanding, originating from Nuvolari Lenard. The prized Palmer Johnson 120 is a semi-displacement yacht with a deep-V hull that delivers top speeds of 27 knots, with a cruising speed of 21 knots. Bagheera is all set to turn heads as you cruise shallow waters in consummate style. For those ready to raise the roof, Princess Yachts’ new X Class is designed with what the marque calls an ‘open concept’ in mind. Challenged with setting a new standard of layout savvy in the debut of the X95, you’ll find adaptable spaces onboard that can be configured in a myriad of ways, offering clientele a uniquely flexible boating lifestyle. At its core is a signature concept for the flybridge and main deck interior space, both of which cover almost the full length of the yacht, creating the Super Flybridge—the X Class’s defining characteristic.
When it comes to trending water toys, look no further than the 43wallytender, a zippy and stylish tender that introduced the world to Wally’s “center cockpit” design, which provides all the protection of a cockpit with the practicality of a walkaround. This layout combines the enjoyment of being in the open air with the added security and comfort of a more enclosed tender. Winning the Seas

Yacht Charter Vacations – No Better Way to Satisfy Wanderlust Imagine your options – literally anywhere in the world where there is water, sizes of yachts to fit your charter party from 6 to 12 guests, and a variety of experiences. Details are tended to the nth degree so that your every wish comes true and your desires are satisfied. Want to drop anchor in the lee of an island and just watch the world go by as you enjoy your favorite quaff and the crew serve up scrumptious hors d’oeuvres? Go island exploring and set foot on nearly virgin beaches? Snorkel a reef in an aqua blue lagoon with nobody in sight?
If there is one aspect of human nature that binds us together, it’s the yearning to explore, to realize new vistas, to revel in nature and to experience worldly and natural things. There’s simply no better way to satisfy that wanderlust than a yacht charter vacation. A yacht charter can take destinations only dreamed of and make them a reality. Whether the luxurious nightlife of Monte Carlo, the ancient ports of call along the Cote d’Zur, the rugged yet sophisticated enchantment of Croatia, exploring a quaint New England village along the coast of Maine, the thrilling casinos at Atlantis, or being whisked away to an anchorage in the lee of one of hundreds of virtually unexplored and unexperienced islands in the Exumas and Abacos, your options are unlimited and crafted to your specific tastes and desires. And the on-board experience is one that can only be described as your “private floating resort.” Imagine going at your own pace, not locked into a schedule, with a crew who are only too willing to enhance your charter experience and a menu that you plan with the cook or chef that satisfies even the most discriminating palate.

The Future of Space Tourism: Traveling With Space Perspective Travel is reaching new heights, literally. In just a few years’ time, tourism will no longer be limited to the Earth. Instead, you could be hopping on a high-tech balloon that will take you to the edge of space. While this sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, it is a fantasy that spaceflight startup Space Perspective is bringing to reality. And the company is doing so in a unique way. Rather than using rockets to reach these new heights (like other companies are doing), Space Perspective is using a balloon to take tourists 100,000 feet into the air — a balloon that is the size of a football stadium. The concept of balloons in space is not new to the scene — scientists have been using balloons to explore the Earth’s atmosphere since the 1930s. However, Space Perspective has upgraded and updated the concept of a balloon as a vehicle to travel into space, and this way of travel means a much smoother experience for passengers. Rather than the G-forces that occur with a rocket launch, Space Perspective’s spaceship Neptune will smoothly ascend into the sky and descend back to Earth, with a comfortable and unforgettable trip the entire way. Neptune will feature a bar, bathrooms, and plush reclining chairs to create the ultimate luxury experience, not to mention it will feature views that you never dreamed you would see. The journey will start before sunrise, so passengers will be traveling up to space in the dark sky with a view of the stars that only a select few have been lucky enough to see. If that’s not enough, just wait until sunrise hits. The view of watching the sun come up over the curvature of the Earth will give passengers the best view of their lives.

Space Tourism
“The Price Tag for this epic journey has not been labeled yet” From start to finish, the Space Perspective experience lasts 6 hours and ends by splashing into the waters off the coast of Florida, where Neptune and its passengers will be picked up by a ship. The price tag for this epic journey has not been labeled yet, but co-founders Jane Poynter and Taber MacCallum estimate it may be around $125,000 per person. While this sounds like a hefty price, it is significantly less than competitors in space tourism who are looking at selling tickets on their rockets and planes for $250,000 per person.
Space Perspective plans to send Neptune into the sky for a test flight in early 2021 and send passengers on their first trip in 2024. If you’re interested in reserving your seat on this epic journey, head over to the Space Perspective website.

SEE,
based on the groundbreaking E-hybrid system naval architecture by Lateral, employs batteries as the primary source of onboard power. Diesel engines are provided for battery recharging only, and the system enables diesel generators to be selected purely because of efficiency and optimum energy density. This brings advantages to overall architecture efficiency, flexibility of layout, noise and vibration, maintenance, and operational effectiveness of the vessel as a whole. SEE, a next generation in yachting, looks toward the electrification, compact single deck engine room via flexible engineering approach, where the design and layout of this vessel reflect today’s new sense of lifestyle, state of mind, luxury, and innovation.

Today, more and more, ‘luxury’ has become defined by the non-material. Luxury comes from freedom— the luxury of experiences. Live-in-the-moment. SEE blue skies and experience cooling winds in the Caribbean, go diving in the Indian Ocean, watch the Monaco Grand Prix, explore ancient cultures in Greece, swim with dolphins, meditate next to the water or support marine-science expeditions.
