PUBLISHER’S NOTE

Quotes of the Season “Judging a person does not define who they are. It defines who you are.” – Unknown “Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can’t help them, at least don’t hurt them.”

F

– Dalai Lama

irst, let me start by sending out my heartfelt condolences to those who may have lost the life of a loved one. And I am not just referring to those we’ve lost to COVID-19. Let’s not forget those lost to heart disease, cancer, stroke, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, unforeseen accidents... Unfortunately, the list goes on.

“Peace is not something you wish for, it’s something you make.”

Additionally, as a small business owner, my empathy and compassion go out to those who have lost their businesses into which they put their heart, soul and savings, to those who have lost their jobs and to anyone who has lost their peace of mind, sanity, sense of security and spirit during these challenging times.

– Robert Fulghum “There are some things you can only learn in a storm.”

I’ve always had a strong work ethic, yet during these unprecedented times, I found myself working around the clock to implement new strategies that would help my clients survive and keep my team on board. I hope you will consider supporting these businesses that have been supportive of mine. With the power of reciprocity, we will not only survive during these times but thrive!

– Joel Osteen “Tough times never last, but tough people do.”

While the current climate of our country may be dampening people’s spirits, I have fortunately been gifted with the natural ability to see the light at the end of the tunnel— the rainbow after the storm. I come from humble beginnings; I am one of eight kids, raised by a single mother and was forced to face challenges early on. But my childhood challenges turned into adult resilience and adaptability, preparing me with internal strength and a positive attitude to be able to handle life’s inevitable turbulence. The following page highlights some of my tips to see the light, even in the darkest of days. I hope that these tips will help you shift your attitude and armor you with the strength and the optimism to see brighter days ahead. After all, this too shall pass, and in the end, you can come out stronger and ready to face life’s next storm. There will be another one on the horizon, but rather than try to avoid the waves of destruction, we should learn to ride them!

– Robert H. Schuller “A lie doesn’t become truth, wrong doesn’t become right, and evil doesn’t become good just because it’s accepted by a majority.“

TIPS FOR SEEING THE LIGHT, EVEN IN THE DARKEST OF DAYS Be aware. Do not take one day for granted. Life is not guaranteed.

Each day I wake up I am grateful that I did. I am aware that every second that goes by may be my last. I am not claiming I wake up every day with a pep in my step. But I try not to take one second of breath for granted. If I am feeling down or overwhelmed with the negative things that are happening either directly to me or in this world, I make a concerted effort to focus on the positive. This allows me to reset my state of emotion and get through hard times. Simply ask yourself: If today were your last day, would your attitude or your actions be different? Would you want your last breath to be spent angry, resentful or in sadness? While I am a fan of motivational quotes, they are not “yours.” Try writing down your own positive affirmations so that you personally connect with them and start living your life in the now.

Do not overload yourself with negative news (or people).

It is important to keep yourself informed so that you can make educated decisions. However, the source of your information must be reputable—otherwise, it is counterproductive. Negative news debilitates you; it paralyzes you and does nothing for the human spirit. Instead, put time and energy into things that make you happy and productive. Chances are, this will rub off on others, resulting in a more positive future for everyone!

Look behind for gratitude. Look ahead for inspiration. Look within for happiness.

I live in a constant state of gratitude. How? I look behind and see that someone else is dealing with something worse than I am, and it puts things into perspective. Looking behind is also a good exercise for you to reflect on past hardships that eventually passed and, more than likely, made you stronger. I look ahead for inspiration. Someone is always going to be ahead of you. It is fine to be inspired by these people—it keeps you on your toes and raises your performance. But be aware of jealousy, as it will put you on a path of perpetual dissatisfaction. Continue to improve in all areas, but know that the secret to living a happier and more joyous life is to be kinder to yourself. Look within and love where you are and who you are now.

Love yourself.

I love my family, my friends, my clients and supporters, kind strangers and good people. But my greatest love is inside me. This is not selfish. Think about it: On a plane, you are instructed to put the oxygen mask on yourself before anyone else—even your child. Why? If you are not alive, how can you help them? Similarly, if you do not love yourself, how will you be a role model? The first step to loving yourself is to stop measuring your self-love by material things you have acquired or where you are in life. These can be taken away in seconds. Focus on loving yourself from within—your core character. One of my favorite songs is by Whitney Houston: “Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all.” I couldn’t agree more.

Other Simple Steps to Take

Be kind. Acts of kindness are win-win. You benefit just as much as, if not more than, the recipient. Be open-minded. Tunnel vision is judgmental. It creates a poor assessment of others and evokes negative emotions that usually lead to dissatisfaction with the world, your life and your friends, among other things. Be understanding. Not everyone sees things the same way you do. Thinking your way is the only way prevents you from genuine growth and self-compassion. Be forgiving. People who stay angry suffer from holding on to resentment and negative thoughts. Be patient. This one does not come as naturally to me, and I continue to practice. Patient people seem to be more at peace. Be honest. Truth, while it hurts, can set you free of angst and anxiety about the unknown. Knowing the truth will help speed up acceptance and the healing process, if needed. Be equal. Practice the Golden Rule. Imagine if we all did unto others as we would want done unto ourselves. The world would be a much kinder and more peaceful place. Be selfless. Give back and pay it forward. It is truly soup for the soul. EDITOR’S LETTER

SUMMER 2020 CEO/Publisher Lynette Janac Editor-in-Chief/Design Director Sherri Balefsky Hanson Client & Community Relations Manager Tyler Anderson Administrative Assistant Patty Rivers Photo by Evan Rich

I

f someone had told me just after our spring edition went to print on March 1 that the world was about to be turned upside down, I never would have believed them! When the first wave of “lockdowns” began, my team and I had just started working on our annual destinations-themed summer issue. At first, we were hesitant to continue—it felt weird to be making an entire issue dedicated to travel when the world was reeling from a pandemic. But that’s exactly why we decided to move forward with it (albeit with some modifications). As individuals and as a community, we have faced many challenges, disappointments and losses over the last few months. While it’s important to acknowledge these setbacks, it’s equally as important to stay positive, to be flexible, and to face those challenges head on. It is in that spirit that our Positive Outlook Destinations Guide (page 25) came to life. Our goal is to encourage you to look forward to a brighter future. After all, the ruins at Machu Picchu, the ornate cathedrals in Italy, the sheer natural beauty of the Greek Isles, and the many other places we’ve highlighted in our special feature are not going anywhere! And when it is safe to travel again, I hope you will use this guide as a trusted resource for your planning. In the meantime, why not take advantage of all that we have to offer here in South Florida? For our Become a Tourist in Your Backyard – Support Local Businesses feature (page 37), we tapped experts and tour guides from Miami, Broward, Palm Beach and the Florida Keys to share their picks for what there is to see, do and explore locally— from historic landmarks and natural wonders to active pursuits and cultural offerings. Even lifelong residents will discover something about their city that they didn’t know! I hope this issue inspires you in many ways: to be optimistic, to reignite your wanderlust, to discover hidden gems in your neighborhood, to support local businesses (who need your help now more than ever) and to find compassion for others. When we turn challenges into opportunities, we become stronger and better prepared for whatever else life throws at us next. I wish everyone a safe, happy and healthy summer!

Sunset in Oia, Santorini

Welcome to Santorini, a fascinating destination where a white-washed cliffside dotted with bright-blue domes meets endless vistas of shimmering seas and spellbinding sunsets. While the island seemingly rises out of the Aegean like some mythological paradise, the steep terrain that makes up this tourism-rich island is actually a partially collapsed caldera, the result of a major volcanic eruption that took place around 1600 BC.

Seemingly built exclusively for romantic getaways, the boutique cave hotel was literally carved from the caldera wall, and many of the accommodations have either an indoor plunge pool or outdoor jacuzzi, plus a veranda on which breakfast is served daily (at any time), encouraging guests to eat at leisure while taking in the views. FUN FACTS Long before the Miami Beach waterfront became a mainstay for beachgoers, it was simply stretches of white sand, punctuated by the occasional “house of refuge” that served Floridians at the turn of the 19th century. Today, just as lifeguards have doubled down on their duties, so too have Miami’s lifeguard stations. The change didn’t happen immediately, but in 1995, three years after Hurricane Andrew razed a number of those towers, architectural firm William Lane designed some pretty eccentric replacements. The new towers—in all their technical glory—became iconic images of postAndrew Miami. Twenty years later, Lane returned to the beachfront to overhaul the dated towers. The 2015 towers—just as quirky and vibrant as their predecessors—are the stations you see on the beach today. SOUTH FLORIDA LUXURY GUIDE

The 35-acre Bonnet House Museum & Gardens is the 1920s home of American artist and art collector Frederic Clay Bartlett and has been preserved today with an emphasis on both the environment and artistic expression. DINE ALONG THE WATERFRONT At the end of World War II, the U.S. Navy abandoned a torpedo research and storage facility along the Intracoastal after constructing a water line and fuel tanks there. Bob Cox, who went on to become one of Fort Lauderdale’s most influential residents, thought the spot would make a good marina for his own boat and for others to re-fuel. Today, the marina complex is still familyowned, and its 15th Street Fisheries is one of the most popular restaurants and marinas on the East Coast. Visitors come from all over

PALM BEACH

Everyone knows the glitzy beaches, the exclusive golf clubs and the luxury boutiques, but there is much more to Palm Beach than many stereotypes would lead us to believe. In fact, when Henry Morrison Flagler arrived in Palm Beach in the late 1800s, the area was deep in the Florida wilderness, much of which is still preserved to this day. He also set the stage for the region to become a major tourism locale, where the past seamlessly merges with the present. CURATED BY RICK ROSE, PALMBEACHVACATIONRENTALS.COM

When Henry Flagler first arrived in Palm Beach, he was purportedly enchanted by the tropical vegetation and thousands of coconut palms surrounding the Lake Worth Lagoon. It was here that he opened one of the grandest hotels of the Gilded Age, the Royal Poinciana Hotel, in 1894. In order to make the resort accessible, he set out to extend the Florida East Coast Railroad down from Jacksonville to Palm Beach (and later Miami and the Keys), opening up the entire coast to development. Though the Royal Poinciana itself was torn down in the 1930s, visitors today can still see many landmarks from that era, including Whitehall, Flagler’s former winter estate that is now home to the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum. 1 Whitehall Way, Palm Beach;

Part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, this new hot spot boasts sweeping views of the Intracoastal, Palm Beach Island and the ocean and offers a setting for guests to enjoy poolside cocktails and Mediterranean bites alfresco. A special highlight of this boutique hotel is Spruzzo, the stunning rooftop lounge and bar that is accessible via an express elevator directly from the ground floor. 251 N.

PERFECT YOUR SWING One of Palm Beach’s newest attractions is Drive Shack, a three-level golf entertainment complex featuring 96 all-weather drivingrange bays from which players take aim at a sprawling 220-foot fairway. With non-golfers making up roughly 75 percent of visitors, there is something for everybody, including virtualreality games for adults such as 21, a blackjack-

style game where hitting virtual targets on the fairway flips over cards. For kids, there’s the Monster Hunt, where young golfers attempt to save a princess by toppling creatures living inside the targets. Food and cocktails can be ordered directly to your private bay. 1710

TAP INTO YOUR CREATIVE SIDE From its myriad museums, arts districts, theaters and vibrant festivals, Palm Beach offers more than 42,000 cultural events every year. One of the centerpieces of the community is the Norton Museum of Art, which recently underwent a massive expansion led by world-renowned architect Lord Norman Foster. The museum’s transformation added 35 percent more gallery space and a new 37,200-square-foot sculpture garden. FUN FACTS Coconut palms (Cocos nucifera) are not indigenous to Florida. They were brought here when the cargo ship Providencia ran aground off the shores of current-day Palm Beach in 1878. The crew—and its cargo of 20,000 coconuts—were rescued by local pioneer families. The locals created Florida’s first coconut grove along the banks of the Lake Worth Lagoon. It’s not hard to understand why literary greats such as Ernest Hemingway and Tennessee Williams once found refuge in the Florida Keys. The southernmost island chain in the United States is known for its stunning beauty, subtropical climate and laid-back atmosphere, welcoming visitors from all over the world who come for its shimmering waters, unique artistic vibe and unspoiled nature. While seemingly worlds away, the Florida Keys are closer—and have more to offer—than you may think.

Only reached by boat or seaplane, this national park limits the number of visitors each year to protect the historic Fort Jefferson that was constructed in the mid-19th century to control the entrance into the Gulf of Mexico. The fort also holds historic significance for serving as a prison for Dr. Samuel Mudd and three others who were charged with conspiracy in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. 100 Grinnell

TRENDING ART

ONE OF THE KEY ELEMENTS IN APPRECIATING A WORK OF ART IS UNDERSTANDING NOT ONLY THE INSPIRATION BEHIND IT BUT ALSO, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, THE PERSON WHO CREATED IT. — Yubal Márquez Fleites

THE TRAVELING CURATOR

Art curator and gallerist Yubal Márquez Fleites, founder of Arte Collective, travels the world to find a deeper connection with both the artists he represents and the clients he serves.

assion. Energy. Appreciation. These are the three words that characterize curator, gallerist and art advisor Yubal Márquez Fleites, founder of Arte Collective, a contemporary and fine art gallery with seasonal locations in New York, Miami and the Hamptons.

Carruyo and Patricia Pernalete of Move365 Art,” Márquez says. “It symbolizes the union between man and woman, contemplating their feminine and masculine aspects, the energy that flows between them and their journey in life together.”

“Passion has been the guiding light and positive force that motivates me to love the process of creating as well as those who create,” Márquez explains. “Energy is the fuel that drives that passion and appreciation for the opportunities and blessings bestowed upon this wonderful journey.”

“For me, one of the key elements in appreciating a work of art is understanding not only the inspiration behind it but also, and more importantly, the person who created it,” Márquez adds. “This permits me to become the voice of the artist when they are not present and to transmit the true message they want to convey about their art beyond what the eyes can see.”

For as long as he can remember, Márquez has been connected to art and creativity (his mother jokes that his “curatorial” eye began in grade school with his admiration for Jean-Michel Basquiat). It is this inherent passion that explains why Arte Collective brings its artists to multiple locations. In addition to his base in Brooklyn and gallery in South Florida, Márquez spends his summers in the Hamptons, periodically traveling the world to further discover new artists and their cultures and to share those findings with others. “I’ve had the opportunity to participate in an array of art fairs and exhibitions throughout the United States and other parts of the globe,” Márquez says, adding that he’s met and worked with artists from countries throughout North, Central and South America, as well as in Europe and Asia. “Traveling with the artworks to multiple locations helps me connect with a new audience that shares our passion for art—and to take them on their own journey to the countries where the artists are from.” His most recent adventure took him to India, where he personally delivered a special gift for his friends Riya Sharma and Tirth Dave’s wedding. “I presented them with a beautiful sculpture by artists Yenny 46

Márquez creates the same intimate connection with his clients. “I adore connecting with my clients and meeting new ones; the energy that brings us together is always incredibly special. From start to finish, I work alongside them. Oftentimes, I personally deliver and install the artworks they acquire.” These intimate connections characterize Márquez both personally and professionally. “I reference the process of selecting a work of art to the moment when we feel connected to someone we like, or the time when we meet our significant others,” he explains. “We know there is something that immediately draws our attention, like a natural magnetism. In the beginning, it’s a mystery, but our instinct is telling us they are worth it. They are now home with us, sharing new times, making new memories and, hopefully, they will be part of our lives for a very long time to come.”

TRENDING REAL ESTATE

BRIGHTER HORIZONS

Despite some global economic uncertainty due to the coronavirus pandemic, local experts remain optimistic about the state of South Florida’s real estate market. BY MICHELE MARIN

What advice do you have for those navigating the local real estate market during these unprecedented times? Ortega: As we navigate these uncharted waters, one thing is clear: Consumers need their trusted real estate professionals more than ever. We understand the local market because we are in the trenches day in and day out. Individuals who think they can do it on their own will face many unnecessary challenges and headaches. Lindblade: Although times are challenging, there are a lot of positives on which we can focus. Going into this pandemic, we had an extremely strong economy, unemployment was at an all-time low and interest rates were the best they’d ever been. People will continue to buy and sell homes for many of the same reasons.

people get back to work? When will a vaccine be available? The median home price right now is 8 percent higher than it was a year ago, and 73 percent of sellers have not reduced home prices. Jumbo loans may not be working, but many luxury properties are still luring cash buyers. Although these higher-end properties may remain on the market longer than median-priced homes, sales continue to happen. What tips do you have for homeowners who are looking to buy or sell right now? Ortega: Whether you are looking to buy or sell, this is the perfect time to jump into the market. If you are buying, I recommend that you take advantage of the lowest interest rates that we have experienced in modern history. If you are selling, price it correctly and take advantage of the low inventory levels. This can only mean higher selling prices and more money in your pocket. It’s also getting harder for our buyers to qualify for loans, so I recommend getting your property on the market today to take advantage of qualified buyers before they disappear. Lindblade: Inventory is low, so if you are in the market for a home, don’t expect to find a steal or big discounts. If you see a home that you like, move on it! For homeowners thinking about selling, now is the time! There are serious buyers out there ready and able to make the sale.

THE EXPERTS

What do you think will transpire in the real estate market in the next six months? In the next year? Ortega: We currently have a shortage of well-priced inventory that is causing an increase in offers on the same properties. I attribute this to our friends in the Northeast and other high-tax states. As a native Californian, ex-New Yorker and 11 years living in the Sunshine State, I can say with confidence that there is no place like South Florida. We offer an attractive lifestyle and are the top market for international buyers. For those reasons, I believe that we will fare better than the rest of the country over the next six to 12 months. Lindblade: What happens in the next six to 12 months depends on several factors: How quickly will the market bounce back? When will 66

ear-round beautiful weather and a lack of state income tax have historically made South Florida a real estate haven. And while the global pandemic has caused uncertainty in so many areas, one thing remains: People want to live in Florida. With low interest rates and a low inventory, now is the time to buy or sell a home. But how does the current climate affect these decisions? We spoke with Peter Ortega, a broker associate with Keller Williams Miami Beach and 2020 president of the Miami Association of Realtors’ Young Professionals Network, and Sharon Lindblade, a Realtor with Century 21 Hansen Realty and 2020 Broward president of the Miami Association of Realtors, to find out.

READ THIS: BEFORE YOU HIRE YOUR TAX ATTORNEY DID YOU KNOW? There are over 101,000 lawyers in Florida.

DAVID M. GARVIN, P.A. BOARD CERTIFIED TAX LAWYER CRIMINAL TAX ATTORNEY LLM IN TAXATION

Not all lawyers who pass the Florida Bar are Board Certified. Only 4.7% are Florida Board Certified across 26 areas of concentration. Less than 0.2% are Board Certified in Tax.

David M. Garvin has represented and successfully defended clients in federal criminal and tax matters throughout the United States for over 35 years. His successes have earned him a well-deserved reputation as one of the nation’s respected criminal tax attorneys. His practice concentrates on white-collar crime and tax fraud defense, including tax evasion.

The IRS boasts that over 90% of the criminal tax cases indicted result in a conviction.

ASK THE EXPERT

If you believe that you may be the target of a criminal tax investigation, DO NOT make the mistake of speaking with IRS agents without your lawyer. You have the absolute right to know what the outcomes have been of the lawyer’s past criminal tax trials.

Will hiring a well-known tax attorney with a big reputation raise a red flag with IRS Special Agents, causing them to assume I must be guilty of something? IRS Special Agents already have formed their opinions when they have identified the target of their investigation. Retaining the best criminal tax lawyer available with a proven jury trial track record shows that you are serious about your liberty and your innocence. Having a Board Certified attorney may also give the Department of Justice, Tax Division pause before authorizing a borderline case for prosecution.

OUTCOMES OF TRIALS OF DAVID M. GARVIN*

I know a very good criminal lawyer. They told me that they would associate a tax lawyer to assist them if they are retained to handle my criminal tax case. Is this the best protocol? There are many good criminal lawyers who concentrate on federal cases. However, there are very few that also concentrate their practices on federal tax matters. During a criminal tax trial, the government will have IRS agents and other tax experts testify. A lawyer who does not have a great deal of knowledge regarding tax laws will be at a disadvantage at trial. This problem is not resolved by associating a tax lawyer because only one lawyer can examine a witness at one time. Furthermore, most tax lawyers concentrate their practices on civil tax issues. They do not have heavy jury trial experience because tax court cases do not have juries. If possible, try to locate a lawyer that concentrates on criminal tax cases.

United States v. S.G. (Not Guilty) United States v. J.M. (Not Guilty) United States v. J.R. (Not Guilty) United States v. N.M. (Not Guilty) United States v. D.A. (Not Guilty) United States v. T.E. (Not Guilty) United States v. R.R. (Not Guilty) United States v. C.U. (Not Guilty) *Each case is decided on its own unique facts. Past results do not indicate future results.

If IRS Special Agents arrive at my business, should I speak with them so that I do not give the impression that I have something to hide? IRS Special Agents have already done research on the person that they request to interview and will intentionally not give advance notice. You should not agree to be interviewed without a few days to think it over and to have your lawyer present. Politely decline, get their business cards, and tell them your lawyer will call them.

What does being Board Certified mean? Only after being tested and vetted by The Florida Bar can these individuals call themselves experts in their field. To remain Board Certified, each attorney must apply and be approved for recertification every five years.

LOSE UP TO 2-6 INCHES IN YOUR FIRST SESSION IF YOU DON’T LOSE, YOU DON’T PAY

ASK THE EXPERT Nina Presman, founder of the Anti-Aging Center of Boca, discusses the benefits of a new noninvasive treatment called Alpha Lipolysis with HIFU. WHAT IS ALPHA LIPOLYSIS WITH HIFU? Alpha Lipolysis with HIFU is a nonsurgical, natural phenomenon based on high-frequency sound waves that is designed to help patients lose fat and tighten skin quickly, easily and risk-free. High Vibrating Sound Waves cause fat cells to explode immediately, and when delivered together with HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound), it melts them while shrinking the skin from the inside out and building collagen. It even removes stubborn wrinkles and crepey skin while sparing the vascular, nervous and muscular tissues. Anti-Aging Center of Boca specializes in all areas of nonsurgical body sculpting and antiaging services that enhance one’s overall well-being. Our body-sculpting technology takes HIFU, Acoustic Lipoliser and Ultrasound Cavitation to a new level where instead of just puncturing the fat cells, we completely liquefy and melt them, resulting in immediate and permanent loss of inches plus tightening and rejuvenation of the skin. While the vibration of the sound waves causes complete elimination of the fat cells on all different levels, depending on the size and density of the fat and skin, HIFU delivered with sound waves shrinks the skin from inside and builds collagen. Results are visible and improvement is immediate.

HOW DOES THE GUARANTEE WORK? Our technician measures and photographs the patient. After the treatment, a second photo and new measurements are taken. If your second measurement is not less than the first, then you will not pay for the service. It is that simple. We stand by our work 100 percent. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? • This procedure is done without anesthesia and is noninvasive (no cutting, scars or post-operative care). • This treatment allows for a full social life both before and after the sessions. Lose inches of fat without exercise or diet. • Relaxes muscles, reduces nerve excitability and stimulates nerve transmission. • Reduces scar tissue and fades stretch marks. • Increases lymphatic system activity. • Stimulates production of collagen. • Reduces inches of measurement with each session.

See more before-and-after photos at

antiagingcenterofboca.com

ARE THERE ANY RISKS? The science was so compelling that even the FDA approved this process as a way to eliminate fat without endangering the health of the patient. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT FROM OTHER TREATMENTS? The results have been so dramatic and consistent, we have adopted a no-moneyupfront guarantee. That means if you do not reduce in size (in the area worked on), you do not pay for the service.

ABOUT NINA PRESMAN Nina Presman came to the United States from the Soviet Union in 1979. After her own struggles with trying to live up to the competitive standards of American beauty and body image, she became a personal trainer and a nutrition consultant. In 2013, she graduated from Argosy University with a BA in science of psychology. She also entered a school to learn about skin and aesthetics and completed multiple degrees in advanced skin care. Her dream was to combine the understanding of self-actualization and happiness with developing the outer beauty to match the inner self. With this in mind, she created the AntiAging Center of Boca, where a person can achieve the look he or she wants without surgery and learn how to be truly happy on the inside. Nina found practitioners who share her views and know how to deliver healing and awareness to anyone who walks through the door.

GIVING BACK

Help, Heal, Hope

At South Florida Luxury Guide, we believe that the greatest luxury of all is the ability to give back. And considering the current global climate, we think this is more important than ever. Many of our charity and nonprofit partners were forced to cancel their annual spring fundraising events, which are crucial in keeping their programs in operation yearround. We hope you will consider supporting these organizations—or any other charitable cause that’s close to your heart—in any way that you can. Every donation counts, no matter how small.
