I

have sold homes to many famous and prominent families that include past & present Spurs players; I’ve also met Coach Pop. Born and raised in San Antonio, I LOVE my San Antonio Spurs. If you were to see me at one of the games, you wouldn’t be able to imagine how I got to be a season ticket holder. My parents, both from Mexico, raised a bilingual family of 3 boys and 4 girls in a very modest 3 bedroom 1 bath home in Dellview. At times, our family struggled financially and it was necessary for me to find a way to help out at a young age. My 1st job at the age of 16 was a hostess at Jim's Coffee Shop where I discovered I have a natural ability to listen, connect and communicate with people. Days were long going to high school during the day, and then working from 5 until midnight to help earn money to support my family. Determination and necessity led to working hard, doing a good job, and becoming independent at 16. My real estate career started in 1987 when a friend, leaving a VP position at a soon to be insolvent Savings & Loan, started a Real Estate brokerage specializing in foreclosed homes encouraged me to get a real estate license. At that time, my husband Larry and I were running a construction firm that renovated foreclosed homes for the same Savings & Loan. The timing was absolutely perfect! I took all of the required courses at SABOR, passed the test (on the 1st go around) and became a Realtor in less than a year. Before I knew it, I was listing and selling foreclosed homes all over the city during the S&L crisis at a time when interest rates were in double figures, 3, 2, 1 buy down interest rate payments had to be calculated on contracts and negative amortization was common. Being a Realtor was the perfect job, allowing me to manage my work hours while raising our three children. By 1993 the market changed, foreclosures were not as prevalent, my listing base disappeared, and I found myself needing a job with a built-in paycheck. It turned out my real estate skills and experience

were exactly what a California lender, who was moving to San Antonio, needed and hired me in the short pay off & modification department. The job was rewarding, I helped many families modify their mortgage loans which allowed them to keep their homes. However, within a year I knew I wanted to get back into real estate sales and out of working in a cubical. The following year I answered an ad placed by a top luxury home builder looking for an on-site sales counselor, and got the job. The next 13 years were magic! I found my passion and became knowledgeable and competent in every aspect and detail of building resulting in record breaking sales in the most prestigious neighborhoods in our city. My sales exceeded over 100 luxury homes as the sales manager in The Dominion, Bentley Manor and Anaqua Springs. I was working for the #1 luxury home builder in San Antonio; I had a great product to sell and broke a record in 2000 selling over $10,000,000 in one year for the first time. I loved my job, and years of success followed working with families to build their dream homes. My hard work, attention to detail, knowledge and experience, allowed me to build long lasting relationships with my homeowners and their Realtors during the time it took to design and build a large custom luxury home. I have spent the past 8 years building a successful real estate business that exceeds $150 million in sales. I am having the best year to date and I closed over $12,000,000 in the month of April. My business is built on one sale at a time representing many repeat clients, referrals, new clients, luxury builders, and working with both buyers and sellers.
