THE DREAM

The founder of the L Makeup Institute, Lissette Waugh, and her husband Kyle decided on opening their second national location in Southlake Town Center. Like many industry leaders, they fell in love with Texas and decided it was not only the place to chase their dream, but also to build their dream home.

THE ADVOCATE

The Waughs knew they were going to need a professional; a knowledgeable, well-connected advocate that would organize the chaos. They needed someone who could not only listen but offer meaningful insight to the equation. They had just landed in DFW and needed directions to the 2020 Dream Street client event being held by Lynn Wilson. Understanding they were new to the area, Lynn took the time to personally guide them to the event. During the tour, the Waugh’s fell in love with the heart of a home built by Jon Atwood – an almost 100’ long all-glass foyer. Lynn advised them that she could help them recreate and refine this build on a lot of their choosing.

THE TEAM

Lynn enlisted the aid of custom home builder, Jon Atwood and architectural designer, Jon Bolton of J Bolton Design Group. It was critical to ensure

that both would be on board not only to alter what the Waughs saw during the tour, but to have their own teams in place to bring the dream to life in spite of a nationwide labor shortage and global pandemic. Lynn also connected the Waughs with the right finance team so that things would progress smoothly at each stage without fear of any surprises.

THE LAND

Finding the right spot was a challenge. The lot needed to be located around other multi-million dollar homes and close enough to Town Center, yet rural enough not to lose the Texas feel that the Waughs came to love. Most of all, they wanted a special piece of land that was wide enough for the expansive footprint of the home and would also enhance the vision they had in their mind after the Dream Street event.

Lynn was able to find a piece of land that the Waughs, the builder, and the architect all agreed would be perfect. Plans were drawn, permits approved and concrete poured. Each day brings a new element of the Waugh’s dream home to life as construction is expected to continue through January 2023.
