For Immediate Release: LOCAL BROKER ISSUES APOLOGY FOR OFFENSIVE ADVERTISING For many years, local luxury real estate broker, Kevin Crawford has been known for his creative and edgy advertising and marketing techniques. However, his most recent advertising campaign may have stepped over the line with the headline “Socialists Hate Him. Capitalists Don’t.” In this campaign, Crawford boasts of making his clients money, enjoying the spoils of fossil fuels and keeping his clients’ transaction information private, among other edgy ideas. It has been brought to his attention that some folks in the market area may have taken offense to these ideas. To address the recent complaints, Kevin has released the statement below: It has come to my attention that my recent attempts at bringing edgy humor to some of my advertising has offended some people. I take these complaints very seriously and we have taken immediate action to make changes internally, ensuring that this will possibly never happen again. My goal is to sell our clients’ very nice homes for a large profit, but I also understand that we’re living in very divided times and that capitalism isn’t for everyone. I’d like to issue an official apology to anyone that’s been offended by these ideas. It is never our intention to offend people with our advertising. (Unless you leave your shopping cart in the parking lot. If you do that, I don’t care if you’re offended, because you’re a terrible person.) To ensure we continue to advertise in a boring, non-offensive way, I’ve set up a 24-hour hotline to report any other offensive advertising, so it can be immediately addressed.
