since she was a child – she would be the kid with the lemonade stand selling the best lemonade in the neighborhood. Her love of sales and marketing was a consistent theme throughout her years as a young mom of three girls, two of whom were identical twins. Toni was drawn to real estate early on but knew that the demands of a Realtor® would take her away from her young family. She decided to wait until the time was right. Meanwhile, she worked in sales and marketing for a high-end sunglasses company in Santa Cruz, California, and then as a writer and graphic designer for the telecommunications industry. Before her move to Kerrville she was in charge of marketing for the Sunset Center Theater in Carmel and marketing director of her husband’s custom home company, which focused on the Carmel and Pebble Beach markets.
While remodeling their own home in Carmel, they received an unsolicited offer on it--one they couldn’t refuse. But that left them with a dilemma. They wanted to move somewhere better suited to their love of the outdoors--someplace they could

golf—and they loved rolling hills and oaks trees, but where would that be?
Not long afterwards they saw a program on the Golf Channel that highlighted Comanche Trace Golf Club in Kerrville and decided to take a trip to Texas to see what the Hill Country had to offer. They instantly knew it was home. Everything about San Antonio and The Texas Hill Country was a perfect fit. The friendly people, the terrain, the charming town, and the Golf Community were what they were looking for. In a matter of months they were living in Kerrville and have never looked back. The nicest surprise about their move to Kerrville was, and still is, the people. “It’s a great community of friendly people. The folks here ask ‘how are you?’ and they expect you to answer with more than just, ‘I’m fine’ — they really care. You are waved at by perfect strangers — although here it seems that no one really is a stranger,” says Toni. "We love Kerrville and the Texas Hill Country and are happy to call it home.” Toni Manchester’s father was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle and, although born in California, Toni has always had Texas in her heart.
Toni has been married to her husband for 39 years and is the mother of three daughters and grandmother of six. She and her husband, James, have always loved the expansive outdoors. In fact, one of their favorite road songs has always been “Don’t Fence Me In.”
