Dear Meeting Planner: On behalf of Lviv City Council, I would like to thank you for your interest in Lviv. Lviv is not called Europe’s Last Hidden Gem for no reason. It is a city steeped in architectural splendor and old world charm and an established cultural and scientific center. It is becoming a modern hub for business with a vibrant and youthful population of over 2,000,000 within its metropolitan area, many of whom are university students and future business leaders. The old world charm of the city center with its active Café Society is a mix of locals connecting for business or pleasure and tourists relaxing over coffee or beer. But these are not reasons to consider Lviv for your meetings. Successful meetings take people out of their own environments and put them in creative think tanks to explore a new notion of reality and possibilities for a few short days, and send them back transformed. The Lviv Convention Bureau understands this and will help you plan meetings for successful outcomes. Lviv has a history of hosting international meetings, starting from the Galician National Exhibition in 1894 to the Presidential Summit for Central European Countries in 1999, and the successful UEFA European Championship 2012. Our new airport, 100’s of rooms in top-rated hotels, and unique and inspired venues can make a successful meeting much more memorable. Plus, we would love to have you here. Plan your next event in Lviv and discover for yourself the power of Ukrainian hospitality in 2018. Sincerely, Mayor of Lviv

The Lviv Convention Bureau was established in 2013 in an effort to present the appeal of this beautiful western city that has emerged from its medieval beginnings to a large and growing IT community, café society and increased infrastructure, ripe for hosting conferences where academic and business communities coalesce around new ideas and practices. The high octane behind the motivated team of Lviv Convention Bureau has made progress in these last 4 years and looks forward to more international meetings and conventions, as interest and awareness of Lviv spreads.

In the second half of 17th c., Count Stanislaw Potocki issued a decree, whereby the Jesuit monks were named owners of a large plot of land where they could build a brewery. This Neo-Renaissance architectural treasure once belonged to one of Central Europe’s most powerful and influential families, the Potocki family. The Potocki Palace features three grand halls with marble fireplaces, intricate moldings and ornate mirrors. The biggest one is Mirror Hall (capacity 80 people). The imposing 19th century building is commonly known as a wedding palace, since it once served as a civil registry office and is still a popular venue for weddings and special events. In recent years, political, cultural and diplomatic events were held here, such as: the meeting of Presidents of Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Austria and Slovakia, UEFA projects (with participation of Michel Platini), UNESCO, ICOM, ICOMOS, International Olympic Committee. Today, Potocki Palace is a branch of the Lviv Art Gallery with exhibits of European paintings from the 14th–18th centuries.

Іn 2006 Lviv Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra was awarded the ‘‘Academic’’ honorary title. It had been operating for over two centuries when in 1933, the orchestra became incorporated as the Philharmonic Orchestra which it is today. It conducts symphonic, chamber, jazz, and pop concerts, and organizes musical festivals, literature and art activities, and meetings and exhibitions.

Maria Zankovetska was a famous actress who commanded the attention and admiration of Konstantin Stanislavsky, the father of ‘method acting’, a style of acting practiced by well-known discriminating theatre actors today. The Maria Zankovetska Academic Ukrainian Dramatic Theatre in Lviv was founded by Count Stanislaw Marion Skarbek and opened in 1842. Built in neoclassical style, it was one of the three largest buildings in Central Europe at the time. Since then the building has expanded, and its classic dramatic repertoire and musical concerts continue to attract satisfied audiences.

In the early 20th century the orchestra was led by such guest conductors as Gustav Mahler, Richard Strauss, Ruggero Leoncavallo. Today, the orchestra successfully tours such European countries as Poland, Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands. With the quality acoustics, a beautiful concert hall, and frequent art exhibits in the lobby, this is a special venue, especially for those who appreciate the fine arts.

The beautiful foyer, main hall, and the Column Hall are used as special venues for meetings and exhibitions.

Lviv Historical Museum offers a facility in the city center for conferences, art presentations, business meetings and art events. The building features the Ceremonial Hall, the main Hallway, and the Italian Courtyard, which delights visitors with classic archways and full size sculpture.

Museum of Ukraine’s Struggle for Independence is located in a picturesque corner of the city in the Znesinnia park in the building of the former military brotherhood (19th century landmark). The museum exposition was opened in 2012. The museum submitted materials that reveal all stages of the Ukrainian national liberation movement from the late 19th century up to 1991.

The interior of the Hall is decorated with ornamental frieze and old masters paintings, antique chandeliers, and grand piano.

In 2014 the museum opened a conference hall with the area of 200 m2.

You can enter the building through the Italian Courtyard.

The interior of the Hall features stained glass, tiled stone and decorative walls.

The Italian Courtyard is surrounded on the perimeter by open loggia-like arcades, similar to the inner courtyards of Italian palazzos. Temporary exhibitions, cultural events and theatrical performances are carried out in the galleries during the spring and autumn periods. The fine acoustics accommodate music performances, and the architecture serves as an enchanting backdrop.

Well-suited for conferences on historical subjects, visitors may also wander the halls and see the regular exhibits.

Bank Hotel concept originates from the combination of the symbolic image of the ancient city of Lion and the historic fate of the building in which the hotel is located. Built in 1912 as a representation of Austro-Hungarian bank, the building received not only the latest technical equipment of that time but also the proper look that was associated with the client with stability, solid capital and respectability. The reconstruction of the house gave him a new role - congress hotel. Art Congress Hall represents the premises for conferences, negotiations, etc., which, due to the sliding partitions, are transformed either in separate rooms or in the one big hall. A lounge area with a courtyard adjoins to the conference hall and can be used for catering.

For a totally different style venue, Audi Center Lviv, the new Audi Showroom with the latest range of Audi high performance vehicles, is also a conference center accommodating up to 150 people.

If time is an issue and proximity to the airport is of primary concern, the Airport Lviv has two conference rooms which can be used separately or together. Each conference room accommodates 60 people and is 120 m2. These rooms are well equipped for all types of presentations, and catering services can be accommodated.

What makes this especially appealing is the degree to which the Audi team participates in putting a spin on your meetings. They have been a venue for an Internal Energy workshop given by a professional business coach, BreakWest Breakfast, Morality and Art During the War, and Business Club Leading Change at the International Directors Private Club.

The conference rooms have separate staff entrances for the least disrupting service. Parking services are available at the Airport.
