In view of the financial difficulties which handicapped some important building projects during the period of inflation, every project that offered a chance to demonstrate the attitude of the new architecture became significant. In this case, the clarity of the design with planes, the spatial concept, and the precise arrangement of cubes were the chief concern.

House in Jena, 1924. Determinant factors were living requirements (desire for adequate light and a clear spatial arrangement) and economic considerations.
