HERITAGE

20 GROSVENOR SQUARE

Royalty, prime ministers and titans of industry have called it home. Dickens, Austen and Wilde have featured it in their works. From 1943 it was the command centre for General Eisenhower's Operation Overlord, known as D-Day. Majestic installed the Sarah throughout, with full-height W/C, shower enclosure and dividing return panel in opaque satin etched glass.

The Shard has redefined the London skyline, its residential apartments are the highest in the UK. Majestic recessed ceiling fixed Monaco panels into the floor and walls, echoing The Shard's seamless exterior.

W HOTEL

With its distinctive, spiral shape crafted from a winding steel ribbon, the W Edinburgh is a new centrepiece on the Edinburgh skyline. Over a 3 year period Majestic worked closely with renowned architecture and interior design practice Jestico + Whiles, providing a mixture of full height Rio, Napoli and Sarah enclosures with a bespoke handle for the 232 unique rooms, suites and the hotel’s spa area.

HANWELL SQUARE

Nestled within the leafy Ealing suburb of London, Hanwell Square is already home to over 100 residents as well as shops and businesses, designed around a vibrant village square. Our client wanted a statement enclosure that created a desirable and spacious showering solution for a tranquil haven. Majestic products included our 3 panel Napoli enclosure, finished in the timeless Brushed Nickel for classic elegance with a modern feel. The frameless Napoli enclosure is complimented by the Valetta bath screen to the en-suite apartments.

Glass protection

Art Glass (POA)

All Frameless and Beyond Bespoke shower screens are made in 10mm glass. Demi Framed doors are 8mm. Our glass is toughened safety glass to BS EN 12150.

Majestic has researched all the glass protection products available in Europe and the United States. We find that EnduroShield is optimum for showers. The properties are such that we guarantee the effectiveness for five years.

Carved patterns are hand carved deep into the surface of the glass by an atelier in South London.

In accordance with BS EN 14428 each enclosure is marked with BS EN 12150, usually on the leading edge of the door or panel.

CURATION

Only a damp microfibre cloth and mild detergent should be used for clearning.

Crystal Drawn Fluted: Produced via the Fourcault process, the traditional method of flat glass production, Crystal Drawn Fluted Glass is drawn vertically upward from a molten pool of high purity glass before its surface is flamed polished. This artisanal production process imbues its characteristic crystalline clarity and organic surface.

Introducing the new Art Glass Collection from Majestic, a breathtaking range of bespoke shower screens incorporating four unique textures.

Crystal Drawn Art Glass is characterised by its crystalline clarity, organic finish and wide fluting on one face.

Produced through an historic method of flat glass production, the Fourcault process, by which molten glass is drawn vertically upwards, against gravity and through a mould, to create the fluted design. The glass is then brought to life through flame polishing, to create a natural shimmer finish.

Flame polished to seal its surface, locking the iridescence of natural imperfections into its final form.

CARVED

Carved Art Glass is reminiscent of cut crystal glass on a larger scale, creating a unique finish with stunning light refraction properties.

The Carved design is produced by grinding into the surface of the material and then meticulously polishing the inverse pyramidal tips. Each panel takes around 10 hours of work to complete, each a unique piece of art.

STONE

Echoing the subtle layers of natural stone, Stone Art Glass can stand alone as a statement piece or bring cohesion to any bathroom design. The term 'Kiln Forming' is the process of shaping the glass with heat and gravity. The glass is placed in a mould and then heated so it becomes soft and viscous, before entering into the mould and taking on its form.

ICE

Ice Art Glass takes inspiration from nature, allowing light to pass through its folds in order to create intricate shadows and depth. While kiln forming, gravity takes hold of the molten glass, which fills the mould and takes on the form of the unique design. When cooled, the glass resumes its crystalline structure, in its newly assumed physical form.

ARCHANGEL

Deceptively simple, the hinged leaf folds flush to the interior of the fixed panel. With its innovative lateral seal, the Archangel contradicts the common convention of hinged panel design.

THREE A variation of this shower and W/C enclosure was first created in 2017. Developed to meet Finchatton's ambitious design intent for 20 Grosvenor Square, the former command centre for General Eisenhower's Operation Overlord. The design has since evolved through several iterations, each crafted to meet the need of architects and designers over a series of bespoke projects. This ethos of creative collaboration, whereby our expertise is melded with a designer's vision, is intrinsic to Majestic and echoed by the approach Sarah Roche has taken with clients throughout her Majestic career. It is with a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation that we have chosen to name this enclosure after her. Sarah joined Majestic in 2003, created our Specification department from scratch and has worked on some of the finest developments in London. To name a few, these include One Hyde Park, St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, The Shard Residences and No. 1 Palace Street.

Survey and Installation Service

Terms and Conditions

We will visit your home to survey your shower space and advise on your specification. Your enclosure will be manufactured to the precise measurements taken on site and installed by our expert installers. Painstaking care is taken on site, with profiles adjusted to millimetre perfect lengths, to ensure you receive the best in fit and finish.

Survey requirements are provided at the point of enquiry. Two working days notice is required to cancel and rebook appointments. Both surveys and installations cancelled with less notice will be charged at the aborted installation price. A decision maker must be present at both survey and installation for confirmation of specification and placement of enclosure, in addition to sign off both pre and post installation.

Terms and Conditions

Before we are able to survey your site, your shower area must be finished, with wall tiles and shower tray installed. 10mm Frameless glass is heavy, therefore it is essential that there are appropriate grounds for our fixings wherever the shower screen meets a wall or ceiling. The minimum requirement is 19mm thick ply behind plasterboard and pipes must not be run behind fixing points.

The Majestic Shower Company’s lifetime guarantee covers the performance of all metal and glass components for the lifetime of that product.

Bespoke component finishes (excluding chrome and nickel), seals and gaskets are guaranteed for 3 years from the date of purchase. Anti-calcium glass coating is guaranteed for 5 years.
