Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to sharply higher. Feeder lambs were mostly steady. Slaughter ewes were sharply higher and slaughter bucks were 3.00 to 7.00 higher. In goats, slaughter kids were unevenly steady, while slaughter nannies were mostly steady. Slaughter billies were steady to sharply lower and wethers were steady to sharply higher. Trade activity and buyer demand was moderate to good. The sheep supply consisted of approximately 30 percent slaughter lambs and 12 percent feeder lambs with the balance being slaughter ewes and bucks. The goat supply consisted of approximately 50 percent slaughter kids, 20 percent slaughter nannies/does with the balance being slaughter billies and wethers. Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.
