CALMING MASSAGE PAVILION

A forest-inspired natural wonder of Singapore that reflects and redefines the setting of its Queenstown locale, Stirling Residenc-

es is a fine example of how development design can be inspired by the landscape along with the concept of creating a relaxing neighbourhood-style lifestyle for residents. The strong language of the architecture reflects the quiet, quaint, yet dynamic cityfringe neighbourhood surrounding Stirling Residences. 18 sky terraces and two roof gardens, along with interiors that add space and natural light, continue Logan-Nanshan’s architectural design narrative upwards and inwards for residents to feel even closer to nature.

Osmosis: “the process of gradual or unconscious assimilation of ideas, knowledge, etc.

The Osmos is designed as a community club and health-

care centre, it will provide healthcare services and community’s activities for the Carlton residents to ensure and enrich their community life. The design concept is to improve the intercultural communication among people who from different backgrounds through the architectural design. Meanwhile, this project aims to provide a better medical services and environment for the vulnerable groups such as the indigenous people, woman, and psychopath.

27

Landscape Design Landscpae is designed with the elements which connect to the Australian indigenous culture rather than having aboriginal art display. For example, an Elders’ lounge, yarning circles and informal community spaces with landscape that connects to Country could have been incorporated. This design strategy will benefit both indigenous people and local visitors, the landscape also improve the cultural communication and learning unconsciously between people who with different cultural background.
