CASETA CASETA CASETA CASETA CASETA CASETA CASETA CASETA CASETA CASETA CASETA CASETA studio group work | ie university | december 2019 CASETA CASETA this project was completed during my time abroad in spain. we worked in groups of three to redesign a caseta, an exCASETA CASETA tension of the local library that brings books and games into parks around segovia during the summer. currently, CASETA CASETA these casetas exist as simple metal boxes that allow for little flexbility. using inspiration from the “jacob’s ladder”, our CASETA CASETA concept was to develop a flexible boundary that created space while also holding program. we came up with four difCASETA CASETA ferent typologies for the caseta to function in: closed, room, amphitheater and exhibition. to allow for even more flexCASETA CASETA ibilty, we developed custom hinges that hold rolled fabric that can be pulled out to form more spaces. the construcCASETA CASETA tion of the caseta, including materials and techniques used, was very important in order to create a sustainable design. fitness center site, space and program studio work | northeastern university | december 2017 designing with an unconventional site plan was the focus of this project. the many large size program requirements along with the irregularly shaped site created many challenges. the circulation of the building wraps along, up and around these large programs including the pool, diving well and squash courts. each side of the four-five sided building focuses on a view near or far from the exterior.

photography installation experimentation workshop | december 2019 - january 2020 this was created as a follow up to a previous photography project where individual photos of the women were taken. in the photos, each woman is showing off a word that they feel best describes them in order to fill in the “i am” statement. the photo installation discusses more indepth the issues women face today. by placing these photos in a circle, i saw the power it created. therefore, it mimicked the power women have when they come together to fight for their freedoms. in addition to the photo display, i included changing lights and sound clips of various women’s movement speeches. a video was created to more accurately depict how this installation would be experienced in a real setting. to veiw the video, click here or go to the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTG6yZtPNMY&t=9s
