Remarks by the Founder/Trustee I look back to 1992 when I set out to rescue a group of six young girls from the streets and I thank God, for this far He has brought us. I am a witness to the fact that a simple act of

We are grateful to those who have given even when they themselves were struggling, as well as to those who have been generous with their wealth and their time. Remarks by the Fundraising Committee Chairman I wish to report that once again we had a super fundraising event in January 2017. For various reasons, the event took place in January instead of the traditional October/ November. This created some challenges, January being a busy holiday month for most people. These challenges made it difficult for us to meet our target of Ksh. 20 million, falling short by Ksh. 5million. However, we received very kind support from every one that we called upon and even those who were not able to

CHILDCARE Shelter, Feeding, Clothing, Parental Love And Care A Boys Shelter at last! We, established a 22-bed space residential facility to take in street boys of between 2 – 10 years, a move necessitated by the sharp increase in numbers of young boys living and operating in the streets of Mombasa. The project was established alongside the existing girls’ shelter as we continue to engage the concerned authorities (both at the county and National level) and other stakeholders in finding long term solutions to the increasing street children’s problem. The first group of 10 boys were registered into the program at the end of September 2017.
Residential Care for Former Street Girls We took care of 68 girls rescued from the streets of Mombasa including 11 who were rescued in 2017.

INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING
Thank You to Nakumatt Holdings Ltd We recognize and appreciate in the most humble manner, the unwavering support we so graciously received from Nakumatt Holdings Ltd for the last six years in the form of a monthly credit of Ksh 41,600/- towards household and food items. FINANCIAL REPORT AS AT ST 31 DEC 2017 The presentation above reflects our financial situation, explaining how all the funds raised in 2017 were utilized. Our donors continued to provide much needed support through donations in cash, goods and services. These donations enabled us to carry out our program, including paying fees to schools and colleges, catering for medical needs of our children, conducting daily outreach activities in the streets including rescue operations, family tracing and family re-unifications. In terms of capital expenditure, we undertook a wall construction project to enhance security at the Centre, which apart from the finishing touches that are yet to be done, the wall structure is now complete. We treasure the support of our fundraising committee which continues to provide our main source of funding through the Annual Gala Dinner.
