Lynchburg Grows is an urban farm that takes a handsin-the-dirt approach to teaching others how sustainable food production promotes a healthy planet. Plan to join us for a tour of the facility and learn not only what they have accomplished, but get ideas to implement in your own backyard. Lynchburg Community Market Now celebrating its 230th anniversary, the Lynchburg Community Market opened its doors at 12th and Main Street in 1783 as a farmer’s market to the Lynchburg community. Since then, the Market has offered the best of locally produced fruit, vegetables, cheese, meat, baked goods, and specialty items. Farmers sell their products on Wednesdays and Saturdays yearround. Inside the Market, the Heritage Crafters Gallery and Artist’s Alley complement the two permanent shops, four locally-owned restaurants, and a bakery and cheese shop that also operate year-round.
