Most of us want people to stay with us and enjoy and share our environment.

Scott was most informative in that so many thought we had to buy certain things in order to have feng shui work…..not true. Feng Shui products are often misrepresented as quickfix “cures”. Unless you have an extraordinary belief in their symbolism, they are just another form of clutter and end up confusing your guests. First step is to forget everything you ever heard and start with a clean slate. Most of what people understand of feng shui is nonsense but perpetuated through all types of media including TV, YouTube, how-to books, etc. So, you are thinking about selling your home. What do you really want to do to make the potential buyer want to “stay” in that environment? Sure, they are going to have concrete requirements for a home, but more than one house can fit that need. How can you set yours apart so that the buyer will be drawn back to your home?
Most professional home stagers understand this concept or intuitively have the same mind set. I consulted with Scott Anderson of Anderson Environment Services (www.balanceyourenvironment.com) to get a better understanding of feng shui and why it works….without sounding so mystical and he really opened my eyes! He said probably the most important thing to understand about feng shui is that the principles apply to every living organism on the planet. Traditional feng shui is not a belief system but 34
