This book is dedicated to my baby sister, Diane. , A collector of lighthouses in many forms. When she had her boat, she love all things boat related. She went scuba diving, and spent a lot of time in the sun. She also loves lighthouses because they represent our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the light in the storm. I dedicate this book to you, dear sister, and the memories of some of the best times you had on and in the water. *** Hi, fellow Colorist! This is an interesting collection of lighthouse and boat images, that I hope inspire you, and transport you to a wonderful place of rest and relaxation as you color them. There are fishing boats, tug boats, and other boats…and there are fantasy scenes with lighthouses or boats in them to stir the imagination for those quiet times when it’s you coloring and nourishing your creative soul. Coloring in grayscale is quite easy, once you get the hang of it. I’ve been drawing and painting since I was a child, and usually start a painting with a grayscale sketch. That’s what I like to think of grayscale coloring - the beginning of a work of art, starting with the sketch that is already provided for you, in the form of the grayscale image. There are many videos on youtube to help you get the hang of grayscale coloring. If you’re stuck on what colors to use, you can use a color wheel. Here are instructions I
found that have been very helpful to me on how to use a color wheel, and chose the colors you’d like to use. https://www.artistsnetwork.com/art-techniques/colormixing/ choose-color-schemes/ This is a relaxing hobby, that puts you in touch with your creative side! So many people have taken up coloring since the Corona Virus and the lockdowns. You can join my Facebook Group called “Creative Studio Designs.” https://www.facebook.com/groups/384294649651299 We’re a group of colorists of every level, so please don’t feel intimidated. It’s a place for sharing our colored images, and we build relationships along the way. It’s a place for positive attitudes and helping each other. Questions are always welcome.
