What is Lyon Referral Network? Lyon Referral Network (LRN) is a license holding company for real estate agents who wish to retire or to temporarily or permanently hang their license. As a LRN agent, you keep your license active and earn income through local, national and international referrals by being connected to Leading Real Estate Companies of the World®.
How does it work? LRN places your qualified referrals with participating agents or brokers. We track the referral and update you throughout the progress of the transaction. At close, we work with escrow and accounting to get your referral fee processed.
What is a qualified referral? A qualified referral is a client or contact of yours who has requested real estate assistance.
What is the referral fee? LRN negotiates the referral fee on the transaction side commission. You retain 80% of the referral fee and LRN retains 20% on transactions placed with Lyon agents.*
*You must initiate your referral with LRN, otherwise we cannot guarantee you will receive your fee.
How do I get paid? Your payment is processed within two business days of receiving funds from title. The accounting department processes the fee and pays you by check at an 80% office split.
What is the cost to me? There are no upfront costs. If you close a referral through LRN, $100 in annual dues will come out of your first closing. If you do not close a referral in a calendar year, the dues are waived. Once you enroll in LRN, you no longer report to an office, pay desk fees and E & O insurance, or stay active with the Real Estate Board and MLS. The costs associated with being an active agent are eliminated.

What are the restrictions on Lyon Referral Network agents? • Do not solicit listings or offers • Do not show property • Do not prepare or negotiate a contract • Do not conduct a listing or selling presentation • Do not assist in any part of the real estate transaction
