The SLC LED strips SLC LED strips have been designed and developed in Norway, and are produced in one of The Light Group’s carefully selected factories in far east. Our SLC LED strip has been developed with extra focus on keeping the luminance output and consistent light colour all through the life length of the strip. Now we finally talk professional lighting on reels. All partners, and their customers, can appreciate the safety of knowing they have selected high quality products, when selected from the ranges of The Light Group (TLG). We have been in the light market for more than 25 years, and we know what’s working and why. There are no shortcuts to succeed with a product. It’s only through hard work and continuing product development we, together with our partners, can succeed in a tough market. With great enthusiasm and joy, we are thrilled to launch yet another great series of products; LED strips, aluminium profiles, drivers and control units. LED strip Technology LED strip technology might seem quite easy, but there are a few important technology differences.

Constant Voltage / Constant Current LED strip utilizing the constant current technology use a linear constant current driver IC, securing stable current; no voltage drop from the beginning to the end of the strip, which keeps the brightness the same the whole length. In addition, a vital point is that the strip length on one power feed can be longer than 5m. LED strip with the â&#x20AC;&#x153;standardâ&#x20AC;? constant voltage controls the current using resistors; hence, there will be a voltage drop along the strip. Lengths above 5m is not recommended, since the brightness can be visible.

Temperature Protection SLC LED strip series ho has built-in temperature protection prolong the life of the led strip if the ambient temperature is too high. A rise in led temperature causes a reduction in current and when the led temperature becomes normal, the current would also return to normal, which ensures long lifespan of LED.

24VDC All SLC LED strips are powered by 24VDC instead of the more traditional 12VDC LED strips. Main reason for this choice is that the current will be much lower (50%), hence the voltage drop will also be lowered equally. This secures that the LED strip gets the same voltage and thus same light output along the LED strip (5m).

LED strip Ingress Protection The Ingress Protection Rating, IP, has two numbers. The first number refers to the protection against solid objects (dust, etc.) and the second number refers to liquid protection.

SLC LED strip Series comes in three different IP ratings: IP20: Indoor LED strip, non-waterproof IP54: Protected LED strip, splash- and touch proof IP67: Water resistant LED strip, in silicon tube * Other IP ratings on request.

LED strip Light - CRI Colour rendering describes how a light source makes the colour of an object appear to human eyes and how well subtle variations in colour shades are revealed. The Colour Rendering Index (CRI) is a scale from 0 to 100 percent indicating how accurate a “given” light source is at rendering colour when compared to a “reference” light source. The higher the CRI, the better the colour rendering ability. Light sources with a CRI of 85 to 90 are considered good at colour rendering. Light sources with a CRI of 90 or higher are excellent at colour rendering and should be used for tasks requiring the most accurate colour discrimination.

LED strip Light Colour - Kelvin Light colour, which is the colour temperature, is measured in Kelvins [K]. The lower the Kelvin number is, the warmer is the light colour – closer to yellow (e.g. a candle light, a sunset), the higher the number is, the cooler is the light – becoming more and more blue (e.g. daylight, sunrise or a lightning). Selection of light depends on the place, activity that should be lighted as the light colour influences our frame of mind, and ability to focus very much. All SLC LED strip series offers different types of colour temperature as standard:

2700K - Warm White A human relaxes best at warm light – approx. 2700 K. It gives the impression of cosiness and helps to relax. The warm light sources are worth using at homes, in cafés, tearooms and restaurants. 3000K - White the daylight, approx. 3000 K, is the most neutral which makes it suitable for all common activities and daily functioning. It is plant-friendly as it imitates their natural environment. Selection of this light colour temperature is the safest as the colour is all-purpose and has no great influence on our mood. 4000K - Neutral White the cold colour has a stimulating effect on a human, which favours his or her increased activity and concentration. Thus, it is ideal for office work, studying, as well as for using in sport facilities.

The SLC LED strip Project series includes in addition the extra warm white 2500K and the warm sparkling 3500K.

The light selection depends also on the colours of objects or places to be lit. For cold colours, (grey, blue, silver) cold light matches best. For warm colours (yellow, orange, red, gold), better use warm light. This way the colours will be exposed best and unnecessary dissonance avoided. * Other colour combinations, like red, blue, green and other mono colours, as well as wide selections of kelvin temperatures, on request.

03 PROFILES

SLC Profiles An aluminium profile is an ideal radiator – it carries away the heat from the LED light source. Lower temperature creates better conditions for the diodes, which prolongs the LED life and preserves the initial quality of emitted light longer. This also translates into economic issues – the light source needs replacement after a much longer time. The aluminium profile is an investment which pays off. The aluminium profile also protects the LED light source against mechanical damage. This installation is much more durable than a LED strip glued directly to the substrate. It looks better and is easier to keep clean.

SLC offers LED aluminium profiles of 4 types of finishing: Anodized aluminium - in silver colour (in stock) Painted white – powder paint coating (on request) Anodized aluminium - in black colour (on request) Raw aluminium - a cost-efficient version, non-resistant to damage

(on request)

The anodized coating thickness is 15 µm on all our profiles. Apart from the system holders matching many different profiles, many collections also include solutions dedicated to more advanced, specialist needs.

On-Demand SLC have more and more on demand deliveries, where the customers can have special needs of LED strips or aluminium profiles, or both, which cannot be fulfilled using our standard products. One of our advantages is that we can make exactly the LED strip demanded. Also special lengths or colours of profiles can be supplied.

Control System - RF Scandinavian Lighting Conceptâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s RF system is a smart lighting solution and wireless LED controller system. It includes the remote or wall mounted RF signal sender and a series of receivers to control mono, Dynamic White, RGB and RGBW LED lighting to create static colours or dynamic colour changing modes and create the right mood and ambient for different atmospheres. The system is a perfect wireless home automation system, which enables to control multi zones by one remote with endless receivers in each zone and achieve perfect synchronization.

No wiring between wall panel/remote or the controller/dimmer. Justed press the learning button on the controller, then press the corresponding wall panel. The connection has been made! Among the special covers, one that deserves special attention â&#x20AC;&#x201C; this is the milk-glass K Cover intended for the GROUND 12 profile. It is characteristic for high resistance to damage or strokes, of the IK08 grade.
