Cathedral of the Holy Virgin, also known as St. Vasil's Cathedral - the Orthodox church, located on Red Square. Was built in 1555-1561 by order of Ivan the Terrible to commemorate the conquest of Kazan and the victory over the Kazan Khanate. Since 1991, Pokrovsky Cathedral is shared by the museum and the Russian Orthodox Church. After a long break in the temple service was resumed.
