“ A ship floating above the trees� Renzo Piano 8701 Collins is designed to be an iconic building and a destination in Miami Beach. The architecture will express lightness, transparency and luminocity. The building will appear as a ship floating above the trees in the park. It is intended to be a contemporary building that integrates with the great architectural traditions of Miami.

RENZO PIANO BUILDING WORKSHOP
RPBW is an international architectural practice The Workshop is led by 14 partners, including founder and Pritzker Prize laureate, Renzo Piano. Since its formation in 1981, RPBW has completed over 120 projects across Europe, North America, Australia and East Asia. Among its best known works are: the Menil Collection in Houston, Texas; the Kansai International Airport Terminal Building in Osaka; the Kanak Cultural Center in New Caledonia; the Beyeler Foundation in Basel; the Rome Auditorium; the Maison Hermès in Tokyo; the Morgan Library; the New York Times Building, and the Shard in London. RPBW’s work has been recognized by over 70 design awards, including major awards from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

Since its inception in 1972, RDAI has transcended the boundaries between architecture, interior architecture and design.
ARCHITECTURE INTERIEURE
Today, Rena Dumas and Denis Montel deepen this commitment with the development of an international agency of 46 architects, interior designers, and designers. The agency doesn’t impose a style: their projects result from a sensibility where the modern world and classical culture meet and cross-fertilize. Past projects include global stores for Hermès, Yves Saint Laurent, hotels, working spaces, and exhibition spaces. They are frequent collaborators with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop, including on La Maison Hermès Tokyo.

Lux Populi works within the broadest interpretations of Architectural Lighting Design. The essential design ethic is to complement the architect’s will stand rigors of the operational life. Lux Populi is based in Mexico City, but works internationally, with projects in Europe, North America and Asia. Services include the full scope of works to complete architectural lighting projects from charrette and first concepts, to final commissioning and warranty inspections. Lux Populi prides itself on working on unusually demanding projects where existing technologies are pushed to the limit.
