We’re starting up a joint programme with KIYO and Solidagro, two other Belgian NGOs, for children’s rights to food and the right to health.

Our volunteer, Aletha, is in Geneva to attend the World Health Organisation meetings “Health is a geopolitical issue. If you want change, you have to understand the technical processes behind decisions.”

Migration :

what is the European Union playing at ? What can you do as a human rights activist for a fair migration policy? TWHA publishes an article to help you fine-tune your arguments.

Young Gazans with a mission

Young people take the reins Survey among young activists in Congo, Palestine and the Philippines. Can they influence political decisions? The answer can be found in this report.

Young Palestinians learn to use social media to reinforce their campaigns concerning health. 50 volunteers follow the training and then pass on what they have learned to more than 800 young people.

Palestinian activists mobilise for health insurance

The Palestinian authorities propose a decree that would exclude more than 100,000 unemployed Palestinians and force them deeper into poverty. Our Palestinian partners mobilise the population and manage to block this law.

A new team in Kinshasa Reinforcement for our Congolese partners. Lies and Sandra inaugurate our new office in Kinshasa.

We launch actions against the commercialisation of health and for strong public healthcare, along with organisations from all over Europe.

Micheline visits her goddaughter in the Philippines

Our Philippine partner, CCNCI, organises a forum on climate change Workshops for young people and adults on the mechanisms of climate change and the historical context. Children are given an initial introduction to climate activism through traditional Philippine games.

After writing to each other for three years, Micheline, a union activist, pays a visit to her goddaughter Ella.

“Our health is not for sale” Summer School

With 12 participants from eight different countries, TWHA’s first Summer School and Popular Movement for Health creates a new momentum on an international scale.

Save our schools The schools of the “Lumad” indigenous group in the Philippines are threatened by militarisation, mining and industry. Children and activists walk to the capital Manila. A clear message to the Philippine government: “Save our schools”!

Participation in the European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health We organise a debate on trade and health, along with the Belgian platform Be-cause health, as part of the 10th European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health (ECTMIH).

Chatbot Gabbie breaks the silence

Our Philippine partner GABRIELA launches an online chat system for women faced with sexual intimidation. This makes it easier for these women to ask for help.
