MEDICAL
1. Since the new clinic will be located in a residential area, not in the central part of the city, I suggest to do it in a minimalist style. This line of thinking would be more appropriate in a given environment (typical building). 2. Moreover, it is recommended to be guided with modern views on the design, because the clinic will contain in itself an educational center. And educational institutions assume an aspiration to new technologies and new knowledge. And this aspiration should be, first of all, expressed in the interior. Only then the interior of the clinic would be the hallmark of it and will work for its image. 3. Since modern technology is not always available in Ukraine, I propose to build the interior on wow-effects. Since the wow-effect is not always expensive. But the impression it would produce is equivalent to new technologies. 4. The interior uses a classical white color for medical institutions, combined with gray, dark gray and olive. The combination of white and gray is not as strict as black and white, but it makes the interior more precise, elegant. To soften the cold tone I apply a lot of wooden surfaces. Wood has a sedative effect because it gives the interior the hue of the home environment and trusting atmosphere.
CONCEPT.
To avoid extra infographics doors to all dental offices are made of glass. The patient can immediately see where to go.
The doors to the utility rooms are sliding and look like wood paneling in the hallway that makes them non evident. Lockers for storing clothes of patients are wooden too.
The waiting room has 6 seats. The workplace is provided for for the reception desk.
In the middle of the hall near the reception desk and the colored glass walls there is a chandelier in the neo-classical style. The hall is placed with stands for promotional products and magazines.
In the finishing: glossy white self-leveling floor, wooden floor, painted walls in white, gray and olive green, sheathing with wood paneling. The ceiling is made of a metallic hinged grating, behind which hides ventilation and other routes. It creates complicated and interesting layered effect and at the same time does not remove the ceiling height. A convenient mounting of luminaires and access to all other communications. The ceiling, however, remains concrete. Reception desk is made of concrete. The glass panels of different glass (dark, transparent and olive) complicate the interior and make emphasis on the front reception desk.
FIRST FLOOR. RECEPTION. HALL. WAITING ROOM.
Main stand reception. Used wood finishing. Black shelf for the necessary items close to the hand. Speakers are built into the stand and merge with wood finishing. Title of the clinic. Wooden convector is allocated on a glossy white floor and perfectly matches with the stand. On the right there is the stand with a card index. The stand for sale of certain products is provided. The sliding door to the the sterilization room is hiding behide the stand. The reception is consisted from the reception desk itself (concrete) and working place with computer. Painted in olive green column is combined with the cabinet. The title of the clinic is highlighted by the directional light from the lamps, which are located under the ceiling on the mounted special construction.
FIRST FLOOR. RECEPTION.
The kitchen is left open, accessible from the reception and is viewing from the waiting room. Made on the basis of caskets (floor, walls and ceiling are covered with the same wood). The island part (washing and cooking area) separates the dining part (provided with 2 seats). The quest wc is fully decorated with wood, except the area of the washbasin (tiles). Follows the same principle of caskets. High wooden washbasin and floor toilet. The hallaway is decorated with glossy white panels and wooden panels. Lockers for storing clothes of patients are combined with wooden panels. In addition to the basic ceiling lighting the wall lamps are provided which is repeated on the ground floor.
FIRST FLOOR. UTILITY ROOMS. KITCHEN. GUEST WATERCLOSET. HALLAWAY.
The cabinets are white and discreet, spacious, with natural light. In the finishing there are walls with mirror and colored glass, which is repeated in the waiting room. Wooden floor with white glossy inserts.
FIRST FLOOR. DENTAL OFFICES.
When it’s not in use for its intended purpose, it’s the continuation the hall and waiting room. Working on the expansion of space and additional lighting of the hall. In addition, the room is divided into two zones: a zone of listeners (wooden) and zone of lecturers (graphite color). In the furnishings of the room is used the method of layering dark gray tones: placing the dark gray furniture on the background of the dark gray walls and floor. Is used the technique of the theatrical scene when placing your objects on a black background you attract the attention of the viewer.
FIRST FLOOR. CONFERENCE HALL.
The office of the chief physician combines the private and educational areas. It envisages placing the working area for students and the workplace for the doctor.
FIRST FLOOR. CHIEF PHYSICIAN OFFICE.
The interior of the director’s office is very restrained and minimalistic. In the decoration of the room is used the same principle as in the conference hall and in the doctor’s office - a combination of wood and overlay of dark gray surfaces. Such an approach gives the cabinet austerity and making it modern and elegant.
FIRST FLOOR. DIRECTOR’S OFFICE.
The main staircase is visually divided into two zones. The first is a stairway with wooden steps. And the second is a stairway with white steps. We have expanded the area of the first and the third stairways with the help of the long white steps. But we kept the connection between platforms of the first and the second floor cause the staircase hasn’t become blank. The main entrance is the hallmark of the entire interior of the clinic. It prepares us for what we shall see: rigor, restraint, professionalism and attention to details. The lighting is concentrated in massive pendant luminaires, that are placed in a particular composition, and the line of sconces over the wooden stairway. The floor of the main entrance on the ground floor duplicates the ceiling on the first floor. It is a system of gratings. In winter the moisture from shoes will leak through it and won’t pollute the rest of the place in the clinic.
GROUND AND FIRST FLOORS. THE MAIN ENTRANCE.
Entrance through the reception on the ground floor is not the main, but is the most viewing from the street and from the entrance to the parking lot. The main idea and the concept of the ground floor is stretching (gradient) of color on the walls (from dark gray TO pure white). The gradual flow of color gives the space volume, which it is in lack for. And distorts the perception of a long corridor, which is also very important. The ceiling remains concrete, as well as on the first floor. But without gratings. Ventilation and all other main routes pass under the ceiling, and painted in white. Randomly placed luminaires of cylindrical type with directional light. The floor is wooden, but with inserts of dark gray glossy floor filler. Gratings of convectors are wooden. Reception is located at the entrance, behind a concrete bar, as well as on the first floor. The place includes two seats for waiting.
GROUND FLOOR. BACKDOOR ENTRANCE.
The X-ray room lighting sconces are duplicated from the corridor on the second floor. Cabinet for inspection has sliding glass walls. At the time of examination of the patient shutters are closed. Olive color is common with color gamut of the first floor. Accountant cabinet’s gamut and materials comply with the rest of the ground floor. The only distinguishing feature is the sliding doors with leafs from fine metal mesh. The kitchen stands out among the rest of the ground floor utility rooms. In the decoration brickwork is left seen, and covered with the same gradient as the rest of the walls. For natursl lighting of the kitchen the window displays in the corridor. The students’ boxes for storage are located on the left side of the entrance to the kitchen. There is a bathroom for staff. The boiler and washer-dryer are hidden behind the wooden sliding system.
