Lakewood Clubs Lakewood Sail & Paddle Club

The Lakewood Sail & Paddle Club is celebrating its 20th year of providing “On The Water” access for Lakewood residents. To help celebrate our 20th anniversary, the club will keep last year’s COVID-19 reduced annual membership fees. Family – $50/year: Includes personal use for your family and your guests with you. Lakewood Stitchers

The Lakewood Stitchers Club meets the second Thursday of each month in a residential home, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Feel free to bring your knitting, crocheting, needlework, or other portable craft. Join us in a neighborly chat, while seeing all the creative ideas. If you would like to learn to knit, crochet, or learn any other needleart, we are happy to provide personal instruction as well. Craig Sole and his dedicated staff at Craig Sole’s Designs, work tirelessly to share their custom arrangements with their clients in downtown Overland Park. Guests are always welcome.

Lakewood Yoga

Yoga will meet live in the Augusta Room in the Lakewood Clubhouse. Please bring your own mat and props. You will be asked to sign a waiver on the first visit. Consult your health care provider for approval before starting a new activity such as yoga and follow any restrictions recommended. All levels of experience including beginners are welcome. Monday 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. medium level class Wednesday 5:30-6:30 p.m. all levels Saturday 9:00 -10:15 a.m. active level class While the weather is nice, Saturdays will meet at the East Lake Pool shelter since we are experiencing this COVID peak. Once it gets cooler, probably mid to late October, we will resume meeting in the Augusta room. Please do not attend if not immunized for COVID. Masks required while Jackson County mandate in place.

Lakewood Bass Fishing Club Lakewood Bass Fishing Club upcoming tournament dates and times: September 18: 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. October 23: 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. November 26: 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. December 11: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. All tournaments will be $50/boat and will launch from West Lake Marina. Basic tournament rules apply. Participants must have a functioning live well and no-puncture cull tags. Water Aerobics Club

Water Aerobics looks forward to seeing you during our season, Memorial Day (beginning at Lakewood Oaks Pool) until Labor Day. Two sessions: 7:15 and 8:15 a.m.

Pilates Club

Tuesdays, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Meets in the August Room, downstairs of the Clubhouse Check availability prior to attending check first with Cathy atlakewoodpilatesclub3@gmail.com as pre-registration is necessary. While class size is limited due to space and to maintain some distance, there are often spots open in a particular class. While all fitness levels benefit from the barre Pilates method that we follow, please check with your physician for approval - a waiver is required prior to attending the first session. Clubhouse protocol are to be followed with respect to masks.

Moms’ Club

New to Lakewood or lived here for years? Lakewood Moms’ Club is the way to connect with our amazing community. We have events for moms, kids and families. There is always something happening. Lakewood Tennis

Drop in Tennis On Thursday evenings the LPOA Tennis Club is sponsoring an adult’s program, Drop In Tennis, at the main tennis courts on Lake Drive, from 6 p.m. We will have pickup matches and instruction (if requested).
