During the months of May and June, two Lakewood artists will return to exhibit in the Argyle Gallery.
Jennylynne Gragg is back with her paintings of animals, people, and landscapes. When last interviewed, Jennylynne had set a goal to paint a landscape from every county in
Missouri. This year, with plein air events returning after the pandemic slow-down, she is once again traveling to scenic spots like the Augusta Plein Air in Augusta, MO, the Stems Plein Air all around the greater KCMO area and, in June, the Steelville Plein Air in Steelville, MO. Jennylynne and her husband, Michael, are excited to take their new pontoon on the lake this summer. Look closely and you may see Jennylynne painting waterscapes from the pontoon deck.
Returning painter, Grace Rottinghaus, has been recovering from shoulder surgery, but will exhibit some of her charming oil paintings. Grace is a talented still-life painter and continues to express her poetic view of life through her art. Grace and her husband, Leroy, have lived in Lakewood for 27 years.
