Grow A.J Edd y
In the beginning it was dark, the earth cold and damp around you. With time, you crack the shell of your seed and begin to grow. You stretch towards the surface, skinny and frail but yearning for more. You break through the soil and find yourself bathed in the radiant sunlight. The world may not be what you expected: it’s big and daunting, but it’s beautiful. You plant your roots. Soon enough the little green buds burst into leaves. You grow taller, stronger. Your stalk becomes a trunk that is adorned with an armour of bark—your skin thick enough to weather the pouring rains, lashing winds, and blistering sun. Your branches are outstretched, battered, twisted, and scarred but forever reaching for more. You’ll grow bigger, strive for greater heights, and nothing will stop you. They can cut you, burn you, let you fall, but you’ll grow back— a burst of green among the darkened ashes or wounded flesh. So grow bigger—keep reaching for more. Remember where you started—so small and frail, but you stood your ground and grew. Don’t give up. Keep growing.

Breathe A.J. Edd y
It’s a struggle. There are times when it feels like your lungs are full of ice—when every breath brings searing pain and the tension feels like an inescapable weight. There are times when you feel lost in an abyss, walking an endless road while the path ahead or you is shrouded in impenetrable fog; you can’t see where you’re heading and it feels like you’re walking in circles, lost and helpless. There are times when it feels like you’re treading water, when your body aches, yearning to rest, but you know you can’t, because if you do, you’ll be pulled beneath the waves.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Let the sunshine in your heart melt away the ice. Let your feet carry you onward until the mist evaporates. Let the buoyancy carry your weight that burdens you.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
It will be okay in the end. Just keep breathing.
