Curriculum
In the first year of medical school, students are taught basic medical sciences specifically focusing on the human body systems. This is followed by the interdisciplinary study of disease in second year. In addition to science courses, students learn clinical skills, community engagement, and physician competencies in their first two years of study. The next two years are the clerkship years where students shadow doctors in clinics and hospitals. During these clerkship years, students can take electives such as:
