Social-emotional skills

All Pupil’s Books include a beautifully illustrated Reader with one story per unit, which expands on the social skill covered in the same unit of the Pupil’s Book. These stories are followed by activities that help them to reflect and share their thoughts on aspects such as:

Taking care of our body,

Being kind and friendly,

Being responsible for our actions, among others.

Collaboration and creativity

Each unit of the Pupil’s Book finishes with a Project which can be used not only for language integration but also to promote collaboration among children and to stimulate their creativity through different craft activities and presentations.

As the levels progress, students are expected to prepare longer productions or presentations, alternatively using digital tools for which suggestions are provided in the Teaching Notes.

Memorable learning

Since children learn better and get more engaged when they are entertained and find contexts relevant to them, in the lower levels of My English Trip 2nd Edition language is presented through fun mini-stories and appealing characters. As the levels progress, these contexts become more real through the use of photos which present situations children might come across in real life.

Practice in the Pupil’s Book includes a variety of communicative games, role plays and pair work activities to get students to use the new language in meaningful ways.

Integration and consolidation

Throughout the presentation and practice lessons, the new language is integrated with already taught vocabulary and structures giving students enough exposure to learn the language. In the lower levels, the new language is revised and consolidated through board games every two units and a Final Game at the end of the book. In the upper levels there is also a revision every two units in the Activate and Explore sections.

Allows you to project a page-faithful representation of the Pupil’s Book. Allows you to present audio as well as the story videos of the Reader, whether you’re teaching in person or remotely. Provides you with the Resource Centre and a tool to follow students’ progress. Gives you access to extra materials such as tests, additional worksheets, SEN tips and other downloadable and printable materials.
