Teacher’s Notes A day in my life – Level 2, Module 1 Aim In this lesson, students read about a day in the life of a student in Africa. They compare her family life, home, school, daily routine, likes and dislikes to their own lives.
• Ask the students to look at the pictures and try to match them to the words. Encourage them to find the words in the text and guess the meaning from the context. • Ask the students to compare answers in pairs before checking them with the class.
• Put the students in pairs and ask them to discuss the questions before they read the text.

Speaking • Ask the students to work in pairs and compare their lives with Amadou’s life. Look at the examples with the class and elicit some more ideas.
• Ask the students to look at the answers and write questions for Amadou, starting each one with a question word. If they need help, give them the question word.
• Encourage them to think about their homes, families, school, daily routine, likes and dislikes, and what they do before and after school.
• Check the answers with the class. Accept any correct wording.
• Give them several minutes to talk in pairs. Then ask several pairs to share their ideas with the class.
