(5 min)
Give your students copies of the “Exam Round-up Unit 7” worksheets, divide them into pairs and ask them to discuss the questions next to the picture. Monitor the activity and when they’ve finished ask students to find a different partner and report what they have found out about the first one. Task 1
(7 min)
Ask students to go back to their previous partners and have a look at Task 1. Explain that in the activity there are four ways of helping the environment which are connected with food. Ask them to read them and rate them in pairs, giving 4 points to the most important and 1 to the least important way, in their opinion. Pre-teach the vocabulary they may not know (compost, go off). Write the ways (or just the numbers corresponding to them) on the board and ask each pair about their preferences. Write the points on the board, and then let the students count the final score. When you know the results, you may ask some follow-up questions, such as: Why do you think (X) got the most/least points? Task 2 – Poziom podstawowy
(5 min)
Inform your students that they are going to listen to a text concerning one of the points listed in Task 1. Ask them to determine which one (point 2) and read the text to the students or play the recording once. Then ask them to do the True/False task. After listening ask the students to compare their answers in pairs and explain any points that raised doubts. © Macmillan Polska 2014
