ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
PMDome is a dynamic and practical training in project management where the participants are divided into teams which in a challenging and exciting competition they must demonstrate superior performance in project management according to the basic requirements proposed by the fictitious client. The target audience of the training is Executives, Senior Managers, Project Managers, Resource Managers and Team Members. However PMDome does not requires previous experience in projects once the participant will be able to assimilate the basic concepts of project management and develop the product during the workshop. The main project deliverable is a physical structure called Geodesic Dome, constructed from sheets of paper, to be planned, executed and controlled in real time using the Project Management Institute (PMI®) framework. PMI® is a non-profit association, world leader in the profession of project management The activities developed by the participants during the workshop focus on the main concepts of project management, including:

decomposition and organization of tasks in terms of deliverables and work packages; responsibility assigning to the work packages; the development of the project schedule and budgets based on the work packages.
INTERNATIONAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT In September 2005, the Project Management Institute (PMI) announced the PMDome Workshop as a winner of the PMI Professional Development Product of the Year Award. COURSE DURATION 8 Hours.
Course number of hours. The number of days depends on the daily number of hours dedicated in each course.
NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS Minimum 80 students per workshop.
The minimum number of students suggested to ensure the training economic viability.
TARGET AUDIENCE Project managers, project team members, sponsors and others stakeholders interested in the project management process. REQUIREMENTS None. It’s not necessary any knowledge in projects. LANGUAGE(S) Portuguese and English.
The language in which the training is ministered.
LOCAL Provided by the contractor. Macrosolutions will follow the place’s proper definition. CLOSED CLASSES (IN COMPANY)? Yes.
Closed classes are hired by a particular organization or group. In this case all the participants are selected/ chosen by the contracting organization.
OPEN CLASSES? Yes. Casual.
Open classes offer public access in which the registration is done by each participant, individually.
CERTIFICATION AND PDU All training participants will receive a participation certificate with 8 PMI’s PDUs. (PMI R.E.P. activity number: PMDome01)
Professional Development Units are the measuring units issued by the Project Management Institute for the credential holders. With these units the credential holders can maintain their certifications.
