Welcome to MacroBaby Welcome to MacroBaby! A Marco Corporation Company. Marco Corporation was founded in 2006 by investors with the idea of creating innovative companies in the retail business. It is a solid company with a properly prospected vision. In 2009, with the idea of creating a Retail Store for Babies and Pregnant Women, Marco Corporation founded MacroBaby. During this time, our current CEO, Richard Harary, was having his first child and was very frustrated with the products he encountered in Baby Stores, as they did not offer specialized customer service and the product diversity he was looking for. From that moment on, the idea of creating a specialized store for babies grew. This store would be totally different from what existed in the market previously, and would have many product options for babies, including an amazing variety of colors and sizes. It would also strive for excellence in Customer Service, so that no one would need to depend on online shopping. This Customer Service strategy would also serve as a reference point for guiding new moms to-be. MacroBaby's philosophy runs along with its slogan - "the baby store with a heart!" A cheerful shop, not just a store, but the best store in the United States and possibly the world. MacroBaby's goal is to open stores nationwide and be the leader in the Baby industry.
Organizational chart for functions and sectors This is the company's organizational chart. You can verify all of the sectors in the company and those who are responsible in it. We value respect for the hierarchy. When necessary, if a problem arises, first go to your direct superior who will do everything possible to help you. If it is not within their ability to resolve the problem, they will forward your issue to the appropriate manager and see to it that the problem is resolved. It is important for you to "prioritize" what your superior asks of you before initiating any other activity. Macrobaby’s Mission Statement To be the world’s greastest Baby Stores, with the Highest Quality of Customer Service delivered with a sense of warmth and friendliness.
Macrobaby Vision Statement To be the example in the baby industry of a store that carries everything and it always continues innovating, growing and opening new stores that have the best customer service, Selection and Prices.

MACROBABY ORGANIZATIONAL CHART

MacroBaby's Philosophy 1. There is nothing more important than giving attention to the customer. Whatever you are doing can wait, but not the customer. 2. Always smile, and say "Can I help you find something?" 3. Always make eye contact with the customer. Smile and be friendly. 4. Always take the customer to the product they are looking for, never just pin point to where the product is located. 5. Never say "no" and always locate someone who may know how to find what the customer wants/needs. Be alert, listen, and learn what to do. 6. Always find a way to tell the customer "Yes." Always say what you can do instead of saying what you can not do. 7. We price match any competitors prices and even give 5% less from the value of the difference. 8. If we do not have the product in the store you can offer the customer to make a SPECIAL ORDER with us. 9. If there are many customers in the Cashier line, and you see someone with only a few products, you can ask the Manager or Team Leader to open the Express Lane. 10. If you see a customer making a Baby Registry or browsing around the Baby Registry section in the store, be friendly and ask if they're interested in our Baby Registry services. 11. 5 - 10 FT Rule: If you have a customer who is 10 feet away from you, stop whatever you are doing smile and acknowledge the customer. When the customer is 5 feet away, greet them with a warm welcome and offer help. 12. Rule for solution to problems - LEAD: L = Listen - Listen to the problem (always make eye contact with the customer) E = Empathize - Empathize with the customer's problem A = Apologize - Apologize to the customer D = Deliver - Make the customer happy 13. Rule - GO BABY: G = Greet, Smile and Engage (Greet customer, smile, and initiate conversation with them) O = Offer (Give them a shopping cart or basket) B = Bring (Take the customer to the product they are looking for) A = Always (Always look for ways to say yes) B = Beyond (Always ask if we can get the product if we do not have it) Y = Yellow (Baby Registry specialists main role is to help customers) 14. Five techniques for Sales: 1 - Greet and Engage (greet the customer and start talking with them): Smile, make eye contact and verify the customer's needs. You must connect with customers emotionally so they end up buying more and feel like returning to the store. 2 - Qualify the Customer (Evaluate customer's needs): Ask questions to discover customer's needs, and start advising based on products and prices. 3 - Make Recommendations (Make suggestions): Once you have already spoken to the customer and find out what their needs are, start making recommendations of products and services. 4 - Add-on (additional products to sell): Always try to upsell other related products. Ex. - ask the customer if they need batteries for the toy they bought, or any accessories for the stroller they bought, etc.
9
5 - Finalize the sale (validate and finalize the sale): Always complete the sale by saying the customer made a great purchase. Make the customer feel good about the purchase they are about to make and thank them for visiting our store. 15. Communication: Communication is a key element to the company! Do not leave a problem unsolved. Report on the space provided in the system and always communicate! 16. Pass the Ball Rule: If you do not know something, always call someone who can resolve the customer's issue. Stay close by to watch, and learn the answer. Never just say "no." Remember: Customer Service! Customer Service! Customer Service!!! Without the Customers we would not be anywhere near where we are now!
Store layout Our store is divided by sections and subdivided by brands. Get to know our sections: Fedding, Nursing, Pharmacy, Healthy, Disney, Clothes, Acessories Clothes, Shoes, Toys, Bath, Bedding, Stroller, Car Seat, Playards, Kipling, High Chair, Bouncer e Swings, Baby Carrier, Blanket, Beach and safety. Within each section you will find different brands. For example, in the front of the store there is the feeding section with products by Avent, Mam, Dr. Brown, Boon, Nuby, Munchkin and Tommee Tippee - among many others, in the middle of the store there is a clothes and shoes section and on the back there is stroller, car seats, high chairs, accessories and much more.
Respecting the hierarchy (not surpassing limits) Respecting the company hierarchy at MacroBaby is a top priority. According to the organizational chart you just learned, it is fundamental for you to first go to your direct superior whenever you need something; be it to resolve problems, clarify doubts, or any other issue. If your manager/team leader is unable to resolve your problem, they will forward it to the next superior above, so that your problem will be resolved. Only when a problem is not resolved by your superior should you look to the Director to solve the issue. Always do what your manager asks before initiating any other activity. For example, your manager asks you to arrange a given section and soon after, another employee asks for help with a given task. You need to do what your manager asked first. If you need to interrupt that activity, advise your manager immediately.
Associate relations philosophy and our open door policy Our culture of open communication is not only important for MacroBaby to continue to grow, but it is crucial to the working relationships that our associates have with our managers. Therefore, in our environment, we not only want associates to be able to share their thoughts about our company, but we also want to ensure that associates can comfortably approach any manager, at any level, with their personal issues and concerns. This is how we have always run our business and it has worked well. Our on-going ability to work side by side with our associates, working through issues directly with them, no matter how large or small, will continue to make our workplace better for everyone.
Professional Ethics MacroBaby is committed to a policy of compliance with the law and the maintenance of high ethical standards by all associates in the conduct of business transactions. MacroBaby has achieved a reputation of honesty and integrity in the retail field and all associates share the responsibility of continuing to maintain this reputation. MacroBaby has adopted a written policy which sets forth the ethical standards all associates are expected to abide by. 
Ethics in the workplace is fundamental for a healthy and productive environment. It will always be added to your personality and professional identity.
10
Be courteous, honest, humble, tolerant and flexible with all of your co-workers, regardless of your sector or management level. Always be open to criticisms and suggestions, recognize your errors and be attentive so you don't repeat them. Personal antipathy has no place in a professional environment. Look for opportunities to overcome them! When faced with problems that seem to have no solution, stay calm, and think before acting. When in doubt, ask for help! Stay away from gossip and unnecessary comments that have nothing to do with you. A smile and sympathy have magical powers, especially in business.
MacroBaby’s commitment to equal opportunity and diversity First and foremost, MacroBaby’s goal has always been customer satisfaction. It is a commitment we make to our customers: to treat them with fairness and respect, to provide maximum assistance from associates who understand the product, and to present merchandise that customers are looking for in an exciting and friendly environment. MacroBaby is also committed to ensuring that every customer experience is free from discrimination of any kind. Discriminatory behavior and/or practices are unacceptable and will not be tolerated. In fact, we celebrate diversity and believe that our diverse workforce contributes to the strong bond our associates have with our customers. We also believe that our commitment to diversity and the outstanding opportunities for professional and personal growth we offer to all associates, regardless of background, contribute to the extraordinary high associate retention rate that we have long enjoyed. Employment at any of our companies is based solely on job-related qualifications: we recruit, hire, train, promote and compensate our associates and provide all other conditions of employment including company sponsored events without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, age, sex, genetic information, marital status, lawful alien status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, veteran status, employment status, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law. Employment actions are based upon our operating needs and individual associate or applicant merit, including but not limited to: qualifications, experience, ability, availability, cooperation and job performance. We are also committed to maintaining a working environment completely free from harassment or unlawful discrimination of any kind. We have policies and procedures in place to prevent such conduct and enable associates to report such conduct so that it can be promptly and fairly addressed. Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against any associate who harasses or unlawfully discriminates in violation of this policy.
Sexual Harassment Policy Sexual harassment in the work place is illegal, unacceptable, and will not be tolerated. All associates, whether management or non-management, vendors, customers or applicants for employment, are expected to avoid any behavior or conduct toward any other associate, customer, vendor or applicant for employment that could be interpreted as sexual harassment. MacroBaby has a zero tolerance for harassment. MacroBaby considers sexual harassment to be a serious offense. Depending on the nature and severity of the harassment, the harasser may also be subject to civil and criminal penalties aside from the Company's disciplinary action which could be up to and including termination of employment. Therefore, offenders, and those who observe and do not report such harassment, will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. No associate should be subjected to unsolicited, unwelcome sexual overtures, nor be led to believe that any employment opportunity or benefit would in any way depend upon cooperation of a sexual nature. Sexual harassment can take a variety of forms ranging from subtle pressure for sexual activity to physical assault including:
Threats or intimidation of sexual relations or sexual conduct which is not freely or mutually agreeable to both parties; Continual or repeated verbal abuses of a sexual nature including graphic commentaries on the person's body; sexually suggestive objects or pictures placed in the work area that may embarrass or offend the person; sexually degrading words to describe the person, or propositions of a sexual nature.
11
 
Threats or insinuations that the person's employment, wages, promotional opportunities, job or shift assignments, or other conditions of employment may be adversely affected by not submitting to sexual advances. Sexual harassment does not refer to occasional compliments of a socially acceptable nature. Rather, it refers to behavior which is not welcome, which is personally intimidating, hostile or offensive, which debilitates morale and, therefore, interferes with an individual's work effectiveness.
Retaliation is PROHIBITED MacroBaby strictly prohibits any form of retaliation against an associate who expresses a concern, files a complaint, participates in an investigation or exercises any legal right. An associate who believes that he/she has been retaliated against is encouraged to immediately notify management. Likewise, if an associate believes or suspects that any other associate has been the subject of retaliation, he/she is encouraged to come forward and report the suspected retaliation directed against the other person. Anyone who engages in, authorizes or permits any form of retaliation in violation of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.

To make a 2nd copy of the name tag, the employee will be charged a fee of $15.00.
Radio - How to use the radio for internal communication All employees are required to use a radio to communicate internally, daily. Upon arrival at work, pick up a radio from the charger and return it at the end of the work day to recharge it. VERY IMPORTANT: The radio should remain on and placed in the ear during the entire work day. This is the internal communication method used by MacroBaby and everyone should use it. It is through the radio that many sale people clarify doubts about products, call sales people when a customer looks for them, where managers and other employees can communicate with one another as well as being primordial for locating each employee within the store. If there is some problem with the equipment, immediately advise your superior to substitute it or fix it. HOW TO USE: Turn on the radio, press the button located in the middle of the ear phone and keep it pressed to speak. Don't let it go until you have finished. Try not to get too close to the mouth so that there is no "echo" and the sound comes through clearly. Always pay attention to whether there is someone talking on the radio before you interupt and always wait for them to finish before saying what you need to say. To be able to listen to the reply, you must release the button and repeat this action as many times as necessary.
Use of Pagers All of the sales people will receive a pager that should be used on their belt/waist. This device will beep when a customer needs help and initiate one of the terminals distributed throughout the store. You will receive a message on your pager indicating the location of the customer so that you can go in their direction. It is very important for everyone to be attentive to the calls and immediately arrive at the location. If it is impossible, due to being busy, communicate through the radio to one of the other sales people to help the customer.
Locker In the kitchen, there are lockers where you can leave your personal belongings. We recommend that you buy a lock for greater security. The company is not responsible for any of your belongings.
Work Time All employees are informed about their start and end time and it should be complied with. We don't tolerate tardiness! In the case of an eventuality, get in contact, but avoid arriving late. Try to always arrive 5 minutes before your start time to go to the bathroom, put your belongings in the locker, brush your teeth if necessary, etc., and only clock in at the exact time you were scheduled to do so.
19
Punctuality We really value employee punctuality. Don't be late! We count on you to be there at the time you were scheduled to be. Be ready to work at your exact start time. For example, if you were scheduled to start at 2:00 pm, you can't arrive exactly of this time to go to the bathroom, put your bag in the locker, comb your hair and go to your section at 2:15. In this case, you will be late! Enter 5 minutes before in order to do this. Plan to assume your position at the time you were admitted. Every fault or be late without justification, will be recorded in your records and the accumulation of 3, within a month, will result in a verbal warning.
Schedule - how it works The schedule is made by the manager along with the Team Leader. Normally, we have a set schedule, however it could be changed if MacroBaby finds it necessary. Any and all changes will be reported to the employee in advance. Any need for a change in the schedule should be directed to your immediate hierarchal superior and will be subject to approval.
Schedule - trading If you need to change your work time or day off for another day, you will need to find another employee who can cover you and then request authorization from your manager. Your work time is your responsibility, however if your colleague does not show up at the traded time, you should complete your time. Therefore, verify that your colleague will substitute you. All time trading needs to be formalized by e-mail for everyone to the manager and their assistant.
Seniority The employees who have the most time in the company will have the first choice in the schedule. But keep in mind that the company needs to have an average of 60% of the employees with more than 3 months in the company. Example: if there are 8 employees working, at least 5 have to have more time in the company (more than 3 months).
Clock In – Clock out Clocking in is fundamental for calculating hours worked; You should clock in at the exact time you start your activities. In the same way, you should also clock out whenever you interrupt your work for personal reasons, for example, to speak on the telephone, have lunch, eat or any other activity in addition to clocking out at the end of your work time. Don't start putting on make-up or change clothes to clock out afterward. Do it immediately! If you forget to clock out, you should fill out a form that is available in the office and request authorization from your manager so that your time can be corrected. Each time a correction is made it will cost $2.00, that will be discounted from your payment slip. Staying in the kitchen during your work time is not permitted. Do this when you have a break.
Break Time MacroBaby allows for any of its employees to work for more than 5 hours per day and get a break of up to 30 minutes. If the employee works a double shift they must take a one (1) hour. It is mandatory to clock out EVERYTIME when going out on break and clock in when returning. If more than 30 minutes are needed, notify in advance to your supervisors. There is no fixed time for break, employees must communicate to make arrangements and take turns, depending on the number of customers in the store and on going activities. It is not allowed for more than 2 employees of the same area to take break at one same time. Before going on break, always make sure you find out how many employees are out, so that you may know if you are able to go or if you must wait for them to get back before you leave.
Kitchen cleaning after use After eating, throw away your trash and keep the kitchen clean. Don't leave things in the refrigerator for more than 2 days. Each person is responsible for throwing away their own trash. Keep the kitchen organized. Take your belongings
20
home each day or leave them locked in your locker. Wash your dishes after use, even if it is only a fork or a spoon. Keep everything organized so that we can have a warm and cozy environment.
Cellular It is strictly prohibited for employees to use cellular phones inside the store, except for the manager, general and assistant manager, warehouse manager and those authorized by the board; Leave your cell phone locked in your locker. If you need to make an urgent call, request authorization from your manager.
Emergency call or leaving the store If an employee needs to make a call or leave the store for an emergency, always request authorization from the manager before clocking out so that they can analyze your request. If necessary they can request that another employee covers your absence since we will have one less employee on the schedule during your absence. Many times has it been necessary to request coverage by another person. We want to be clear that employees who abuse this could receive a warning or even a write-up.
Day off and being late If you need to take an extra day off, find another employee who can substitute you and talk to your manager at least two weeks ahead of time. Remember that it is important to register this request also through e-mail! Your request will be evaluated by the manager who may or may not ask that you compensate for this day off when you return. An absence without advance authorization will be characterized as “abandoning work,” which could result in a suspension or dismissal. In the case of illness, get in contact with your manager as soon as possible and then bring a note from your doctor. If the employee feels sick during the work day, they should inform their manager so they can make a decision about what to do.
Leaves of Absence MacroBaby recognizes that circumstances may arise which require an Associate to be away from work for a brief period of time. Such circumstances may include but are not limited to; the birth of a child or the placement of a child in the associate's home for adoption or foster care, the serious health condition of the associate or a member of his or her immediate family, a summons to jury duty, orders for active or reserve duty in the armed forces, etc. Moreover, these policies are also in accordance with federal, state and/or local law, including the federal Family and Medical Leave Act ("FMLA"). Basic Leave FMLA requires covered employers to provide up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave to eligible associates for the following reasons:
for incapacity due to pregnancy, prenatal medical care or child birth; to care for the associate's child after birth, or placement for adoption or foster care; to care for the associate's spouse, son, daughter or parent, who has a serious health condition; or for a serious health condition that makes the associate unable to perform the associate's job.
The application for this permission shall be made directly to your supervisor and the reason for such absence must be provided along with a medical certificate or equivalent document depending on the request for permission.
Holidays (days that are closed) MacroBaby operates every day of the year except on Christmas day (December 25th). On Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve holidays, we work reduced hours, just like Sundays, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
21
Criminal Offenses If an associate is convicted of a felony, during his/her employment, he/she must notify his/her Manager within five days of the event. Failure to timely notify management may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
Updating Personal Data During the time you are employed at MacroBaby your personal information must be kept up to date in our system, such as your: name, address or marital status. You can make any changes using your login and password on the "My Account" icon in our system. Remember, you must also complete new tax forms if you have any changes in your name, or move to a different state since you were hired. Any change in address, marital status or number of dependents should be reported to your manager within 31 days of the change.
Parking All MacroBaby employees, with the exception of those authorized by the board, should park on the right side of the store's parking lot. Parking in the front is exclusively for customers making purchases. If someone is waiting for an employee to leave the store, it is permitted for the person to park in front of the store if the person waits in the car.
Information Board Important social announcements and items of general interest are continuously published on our information boards. You are responsible for looking at it frequently. This will help you keep up with what is happening in MacroBaby. Employees and non-employees are prohibited from publishing any personal notices, or that from other companies on MacroBaby’s information board.
Commercializing Products You may not sell and/or buy goods and/or services amongst MacroBaby employees. Employees are prohibited from making offers, sales, disclosures, distributions and/or requests for work materials that do not relate to MacroBaby on your scheduled working hours or property. Soliciting, distribution and/or trespassing by any non-employee is prohibited on our premises at all times.
Employee Congregating We do not permit any employee congregating behind the register, at the computers, or in any other place in the store, conversing about subjects that have nothing to do with the company. It is very important that we always have an employee to receive customers at the front of the store and another at the back of the store, to assist the customers or simply be present to clarify doubts.
Parallel Conversations MacroBaby does not permit any employee to judge the work of another, and much less that they get together with other employees to make negative comments. Remember that we are a team and we have to teach newer employees what is correct and how we would like to be treated. We will not create a bad work environment generated by gossip. Speak directly with the person causing the problem or with the director. Don't involve more than one person in the problem. Don't be cowardly and talk behind a person's back. Call the person with whom you have the problem to talk and HELP each other. Good communication is the best way to get what you want. If you are unable to resolve the problem, report to the director. The sales people are not the ones who define what the people in the Warehouse do nor are the employees in the warehouse the ones who decide what the sales people should do. Help one another and if you see some error, communicate it to the manager. Team work is fundamental for the company's success!
22
Everything that happens out of the normal MacroBaby routine must be reported to a superior. We do not permit employees to talk about the salaries from companies in which they worked previously. Any employee who is caught doing this could be dismissed from the company. MacroBaby does not tolerate "cliques." We want a team that works together, is strong and healthy. Avoid bringing a problem to the directors without bringing a solution.
Employment of Relatives Employment of relatives is permitted by the Company, provided that the following conditions are met: (a) the applicant is qualified for the position, (b) the associate and relative will not be in a direct reporting relationship with one another and (c) the personal relationship will not adversely affect the workflow, processes, or operation of the Company.
Communication via E-mail - required daily reading. All employees that are admitted will receive a MacroBaby e-mail. Everyday it is mandatory that you should access your company e-mail, since this is the communication channel between the company sectors: many times we forward new guidelines, orientations, procedures and other information that need to be read the same day. Therefore, plan to read the e-mails at least twice a day, when you arrive and before leaving.
Types of Warnings: Verbal Warning, Write Up and Suspension There are 3 ways to warn an employee: Verbal warning, Write-up or Suspension. The type of warning will depend on the seriousness of the situation and will be up to the director, general manager, assistant manager or team leader to decide. For a verbal warning, the employee should pay $25.00. For a write-up, the employee will pay $50.00. After 3 write-ups in the same year, the employee will be suspended and could be dismissed from the company. For a suspension, the employee will pay $100.00. According to the severity of the situation, the employee could receive a suspension even before having received a warning. Each year in the company, all of the warnings given previously will be eliminated.
Evaluation Your superior will be evaluating your work on a daily basis and will periodically inform the director about the professional development of each employee. Be proactive, available, interested and organized. Help keep your section in perfect condition. This includes being organized, with all products available in the warehouse for sale, and having correct prices on the respective hooks.
Register Area The register area should always be free of products. If a customer chose a product and decided not to purchase it, the sales person that helped them is required to put the merchandise back in its place. If the sales person is already with another customer, he/she should go back to the register as soon as she is unoccupied. The register employee should separate the merchandise in a specific place so that it will not get in the way of the next customer. In addition, the employee will need to monitor this space for merchandise, if necessary, request to a manager by radio, that a sales person organize the area. Any employee that lets products accumulate behind the register without taking them back to their section will receive a write up.
23
Store Organization All employees are required to help organize the store before clocking out for a minimum of 15 minutes. Place products in the proper places and walk around the store, regardless of your section, to see if something is out of place. There are no stores where employees can clock out and go home without organizing the store first. For example, at Toys R Us, the employees stay for another 2-3 hours after their work time to do this. We are a multi-cultural organization, and we strive to be the example of a clean store that is organized and not a motive to be ashamed and messy.
Criticisms and Suggestions Whenever you have a suggestion, be it about an internal procedure, indication of new products, position of merchandise or anything else you find necessary, you can make it through the system under the option “Suggestions" (fill in your name, e-mail, date and make your observation). We like to receive suggestions and they are always welcome. Many times your idea could make a big difference for the entire team. Don't waste it! All suggestion messages sent through the system go directly to our director and if your suggestion is accepted, you will receive a star as an award.
Inventions and creations Associates are expected and encouraged to use creativity in performing their job functions. It is a condition of employment and continued employment that the Company will exclusively own and have the exclusive right to use all Creative Works (as defined below) that are: a) related to the business of the Company; b) developed for the Company; or c) created with reference to information owned or provided by the Company. "Creative Works" shall mean all ideas, potential marketing and sales relationships, inventions, research, plans for product or services, marketing plans, computer software (including, without limitation, source code and object code), computer programs, original works of authorship, original works of art, characters, know-how, trade secrets, proprietary information, developments, discoveries, improvements, modifications, technology, algorithms and designs, whether or not subject to intellectual property protection. To the extent applicable, you acknowledge that all of said Creative Works shall be considered as "work made for hire" belonging to the Company. To the extent that any such Creative Works may be considered under applicable law not to be work made for hire by you for the Company, you agree that upon its creation, such Creative Property (including any intellectual property rights therein) is and will remain the exclusive Property of Company, without the necessity of any further consideration, and further agree to execute any assignment documents reasonably necessary to give evidence of such ownership.
Secret Shopper MacroBaby contracts a specialized company to evaluate all of our employees, independent of their position and activity. This company has what are called Secret Shoppers, who will evaluate the employees without identifying themselves, i.e., you will not know that you are being evaluated since you will only be attending to a customer as usual and/or doing a routine task. Therefore, it is fundamental for you to keep a standard quality of attendance for all of your customers, since you will not know which one will report to the directors about you.
Director's Desk Whenever you put anything on the director's desk, leave your name, time and day annotated. Even if they are letters or any type of paper or products. If we have any doubts, we know who to talk to.
24
The director does not attend to suppliers or other people without an appointment. If someone comes looking for him, ask if they have an appointment, and if not, note the person's name, the company name and telephone and give it to his secretary. If the secretary is not in, inform the person who will pass the message and that you will make contact later. Remember that our director is accessible to all employees, however we greatly respect the hierarchy within the company. Before speaking to him about any problem, you should first look for your superior, in accordance with the organizational chard, since the greater part of the time, they can help you. If necessary and after passing through your superiors, if you still wish to speak to the director, send an e-mail to make an appointment since his official office is in our Warehouse Office.

All employees that encounter parents wearing the pins must greet them and congratulate them on their baby-to-be. If the child's name is written on the pin, you should use the name in order to make the experience more interactive and enjoyable for the parents.

The MacroBaby will not reimburse the associate for stolen or damaged personal property. Workplace Violence Prevention MacroBaby is concerned about, and committed to our associates' safety. We do not tolerate violence in the workplace. All managers are responsible for maintaining a violence free environment. We require prompt and accurate reporting of all incidents whether or not physical injury has occurred. We ensure that all associates and managers adhere to work practices that are designed to make the work place more secure; and do not engage in verbal threats or physical actions which create a security hazard for others in the workplace. All associates and managers are responsible for using safe work practices, following all directives, policies and procedures, and assisting in maintaining a safe and secure work environment. The Company is responsible for ensuring that all safety policies and procedures involving workplace security are clearly communicated and understood by all associates. Violence in the Workplace Prevention Policy If you engage in any violence in the workplace, or threaten violence in the workplace, you may be terminated for cause. No talk of violence or joking about violence is acceptable. "Violence" includes, but is not limited to, physically harming another, shoving, pushing, brandishing weapons, and threatening or talking of engaging in those activities. It is the intent of this policy to ensure that everyone associated with the company, including associates and customers, never feels threatened by any associate's actions or conduct. All Weapons Banned The Company specifically prohibits the possession of weapons by any associate while on company property. To the extent permissible by law, the weapons ban includes keeping or transporting a weapon in a vehicle in the parking area, whether public or private. 29
Reporting Violence It is everyone's responsibility to prevent violence in the workplace. You can help by reporting anything you see in the workplace that could indicate that a co-worker is in trouble. You may be in a better position than others to know what is happening with those you work with. You are encouraged to report any incident that may involve a violation of any of the company's policies that are designed to provide a comfortable workplace environment. Concerns may be presented to your Loss Prevention Manager or your Human Resources Representative. Also, if appropriate, you may present your concerns to your immediate supervisor or any Store Manager. Security - PANIC BUTTON Whenever you see customers that are suspicious, not based on the color of their skin or ethnicity but rather in the way they act, you should quickly communicate it through the radio so that an employee can stay quite close to the customer, bothering him, asking if he needs something every 2 minutes. If you are ashamed to do this for some reason (although who should be ashamed is the thief and not you) immediately call another person to help you. Catch a Theft - Reward Program Keeping our company free of losses and dishonesty is everyone's responsibility. However MacroBaby's policy rewards employees who voluntarily provide information of any dishonest act within the company. Employees will be elegible to receive a reward depending on the severity of the issue reported: Loss arising from theft or from external sources , loss due to carelessness in filling out paperwork , receipt of goods, manipulation of products, discovery of serious security problems that might lead to any loss to the company or provide accurate, precise and helpful information that leads to the dismissal of the incriminated employee . The information should be formalized in our system in the "Catch a Theft" option. If you think you saw someone stealing something but are uncertain, you can start to speak LOUDLY to another employee: "Call the security to check the cameras" so that the customer perceives it, as if it were indirect, without being direct. If the suspicious customer starts calling you names, explain that you were not talking about them. If you are certain that they were stealing, ask if they are going to pay for the product and if not, you will have to call the police. Advise another employee through the radio to push the PANIC BUTTON, which is in the register area, to immediately put the police into action or call 911 if for whatever reason the button is not working. It is located under all of the registers. It is a small black button in a white box. Be sure of the need to push the panic button. It should be pushed when someone enters the store armed, when there is a fight provoked by a customer and/or employee that gets out of our control, when an extremely suspicious person enters the store and when you are in the presence of merchandise being stolen. In addition to pushing the panic button, immediately announce it through the radio so that all employees can be aware of the situation. Security Protocol Security Protocols were created that should be complied with by ALL employees: 1. 2.
3.
Employees can only enter and exit through door number 1, located in the front of the store. If any employee is found using any other door to enter and exit the store, it should be communicated to the management immediately. Only restocking employees are authorized to stay in the receiving area. Only authorized employees can open door number 2 (restocking sector). Door number 2 should remain closed at all times; The external gate should remain closed at all times and only the MacroBaby driver has permission to open and close the gate; Only the management and/or team lead can open the door for cleaning and to access the trash. All employee bags should be transparent. No employee is authorized to enter the store with bags that are not transparent.
30
4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
All employees should be checked by security, a team leader or a manager upon leaving the store. We are not authorized to put our hands inside bags, but we will use a large object or a flashlight to look inside them. If any employee leaves the store without having their bag check or if they use a door that is not authorized, you should immediately send an e-mail to manager; We reserve the right to periodically check the employee lockers. If an employee is caught stealing, you should immediately call 911 and report the event. MacroBaby will press charges on the theft. When any merchandise needs to be transported, be it outside the company or to different locations within the company, for example from the store to the warehouse and vice versa, a form should be filled out. For example: Cameras, computers, laptops, scanners, pagers, radios, cars, etc. This form is available at the link www.mbchecklist.com, in the lower part and is called "Transport Company Property."
PROCEDURES How to use the telephone There is a list of extensions places near the telephones. To call another department, dial the number you want and press "dial." To transfer a call to another extension, dial the extension you want, press "transf" and then "dial" and then hang up the phone.
How to request Supplies It is everyone's responsibility to report when products like trash bags, paper, tags for the printer, plastic bags, Starbucks coffee cups, etc. are running out. Access the system under the option Supplies and make a request for the product.
Credit Card Fraud For all credit card sales over $200, along with the credit card, the customer should present a photo ID, regardless of their nationality and country of residence. The employee should verify if the customer who is in front of them is the same person who is in the photo and also that their name is the same as that on the credit card. Making a charge on a credit card is not permitted if the card holder is not present. The point of this procedure is only to protect the customer and the store from fraud. In addition, it is important to know that telephone sales made through Customer Service can only be done by forwarding an e-mail/fax of a copy of the credit card and a valid photo ID, regardless of the customer's nationality. Only after checking the document can the employee continue with the sale and thus record it in the system. This is a security procedure since we have already had cases where customers have made purchases by telephone using a cloned/stolen card, leading to a problem for the card owner and the store.
Damaged Products, without boxes and boxes without products DAMAGED BOX: Whenever you find merchandise in the store with a damaged box, pick up the product and see if it is possible to simply put tape/transparent adhesive to once again seal the box or restore the small defects and then return it to its place. However, if a box that is quite damaged is found which is considered impossible to restore, give it to a product specialist and in their absence, to the manager. PRODUCT WITHOUT A BOX: Whenever products are found out of the packaging in the store, first look for the original packaging and place the item in the packaging, which should then be returned to the shelf to be sold. Only if you do not find the packaging should you give the product to a product and promotions specialist to that they can provide a new package and therefore sell the merchandise.
31
BOXES WITHOUT PRODUCTS: Whenever you find empty packages in the store, verify that it was not placed in another part of the store. If you don't find the product, give the empty packaging to a product and promotions specialist and/or your manager to remove the product from the store's inventory since it was probably stolen. Don't throw away the box!
Merchandise Requests There are three types of merchandise requests: the first is an AUTOMATIC merchandise request generated by the Auto Reorder Center. The second is an Emergency Request that happens when the manager or restocking needs some merchandise urgently to organize a section or a project that is needed in the store. The third is the Displays Request made by the management and/or office employees so that we always have one (1) model of each product on display that the customer can pick up from the warehouse. On a daily basis, employees should walk around the store, regardless of their section, in order to identify products that are running out and those that already have. This could be done when empty hooks are found in the aisles. Immediately advise a restocking employee so that they can check the reason for the product's absence, correct the auto reorder if necessary, or in the absence of the product, remodel the section and increase the quantity of other products to substitute the merchandise that ran out.
Auto Reorder Center Restocking store merchandise is done automatically through a program called the Auto Reorder Center. All of the products in the store have a minimum and maximum according to the space to accommodate the product. Every time a product is sold in a quantity greater than the minimum registered in the system, it will make a merchandise request/solicitation to replace them. This request is generated daily and could even be done various times per day. The record of the minimum and maximum quantity should be readjusted by the restocking section whenever new products arrive or when products run out. Often products are discontinued by the manufacturers, making it fundamental for merchandising to change the auto reorder (minimum and maximum quantity of other products) and substitute another product in the empty space that is left. When there is a new product, the warehouse employees send "one item" of each so that we know that the product arrived. From there we need to adjust the minimum and maximum quantities according to what fits on the shelf, or hook where the new product will be placed. All store employees, including sales people, restocking, team leaders, management, product specialists and other store functions, should be aware as they pass through the aisles and see empty hooks. Whenever this happens, advise a restocking employee so that the auto reorder can be adjusted.
Door alarm for merchandise If the door alarm sounds when a customer leaves the store, whomever is closet to the customer should kindly approach them and ask to see if the register didn't forget to take of one of the sensors from the products, mostly shoes, bags, Swarovisk pacifiers, etc. Even if it was you who attended them and you are sure that you took off all of the seals. If the alarm went off, you need to approach them so that they and the other people around do not think that we don't pay attention to the alarm since this could facilitate future thefts. Always check the merchandise and if you do not find anything, apologize to the customer and let them go without any problem.
How to view the products that we have in stock in the store and in the warehouse If you just want to check the quantity or availability of a product in stock, you can directly access the option "Store" (it allows you to see the store stock) and "Stock" (it allows you to see the warehouse stock), but you will not be able to see the price of the product this way. If you want to see all of the information, you need to access the system with your password and then click on the option "Store or Stock."
32
In this same way, you will have access to the stock as well as the price of the product. To look for the product you want, just type the product name and click "enter" or "find item". If you don't know the name of the product, type the closest possibility. For example, you need to know if we have a glass baby bottle, but you don't remember the brand. Type glass bottle and all of the available options will appear.
Pick up Center MacroBaby has its own warehouse, which is a large location for stocking all of our products. It is the distribution center for all of the MacroBaby stores. In addition, it also functions as a Pick Up Center. Upon purchasing the products that we have on display, such as strollers, car seats and high chairs, all customers should pick them up at our pick up center since we don't have enough physical space to stock all of the products we have in the store. Our Pick Up Center is located 2 minutes from our store and it is very easy to find. We make a folder/pamphlet available to our customers with a written and visual explanation about how to get there. It is very important for the sales people to tell all the customers, upon making a purchase and before getting to the register, that the product should be picked up at the Pick Up Center, thus avoiding the customer discovering this at the last minute and not making the purchase. Explain it to the customer in a natural way, always showing that it is a routine procedure and that all customers do it. In the store, we don't have the physical space to stock all of the products; Attention: We ask that you mention to the customer that the location for pick up the products uses the name Pick Up Center instead of stock, deposit or warehouse.
Customer refusal to go to the Pick-Up Center Upon purchasing the products that we have on display, such as strollers, car seats and high chairs, all customers should pick them up at our pick up center since we don't have enough physical space to stock all of the products we have in the store. However, if you are attending to a customer who refuses in every way to pick up the product at our Pick Up Center, talk to your manager to find an alternative since we can't lose a sale for this reason. Normally these cases are reverted and the customer is convinced that it is not so difficult to get there, but if not, the management could request that a warehouse employee bring the product to the store.
What to do and who to talk to when the system doesn't work The first thing you should do when a computer locks up or for some reason something doesn't work right, is to "restart" the machine, i.e., turn off and turn on the computer since many times a restart will make it work again. If it doesn't, get in contact with Andre at extension 329 or at the cell number 407-648-5549.
Exchange policy The term for returning merchandise is 30 days after the purchase. The product should be in its original packaging and never have been used. In addition, the customer needs to present the purchase receipt, being able to make an exchange for another of the same product, if requested, reimbursement of the amount paid. We should avoid the last option, always giving priority to exchanging merchandise. Some products related to breastfeeding, such as a breast pump, cannot be exchanged if the seal on the packaging is broken. This information is found on the product's packaging. If a customer wants to exchange a defective product, within the 30 day term, we can accept it without its packaging. After this period, the customer should get in contact directly with the manufacturer of the product to check the exchange policy. Many strollers have a 1 to 2 year guarantee within the United States.
33
Product return without the box MacroBaby only accepts merchandise returns within the term of 30 days and as long as it is properly packaged in its original box. However, it is important to tell customers that request stroller assembly at the warehouse or when they acquire automatic bag assembly, they lose the right to return the merchandise since it will be taken out of the original packaging. If there is any problem with this policy, look for your manager so that he may help, since in some cases and depending on his analysis, we can accept merchandise returns and charge a fee of 20% for restocking since the merchandise would have to be sold at a discounted price due to the absence of packaging.
Ways to Save Everyone can help the store economize.
try to recommend the customers to pay with a debit card or cash. reduce theft by always staying close to a customer so that they don't have the liberty to shoplift. verify that all of the customers are being assisted and don't forget to mention the Price Match to all customers. help your work colleague on the stroller he needs to close a sale. don't waste printer paper, toilet paper, pens or other office materials. always turn off the light when you leave the bathroom. If the store is empty and you are not with a customer, there are many tasks to be done, such as arranging the store, changing the hook labels and ordering merchandise. Always be doing something. Try to learn about the store products in your free time since the more you know, the more you will sell. avoid giving discounts and extras, do you best not to do this. plan outings with MacroBaby cars. pay great attention to when you are printing a price tag for products that will be picked up from our Pick Up Center so that it is the correct merchandise, since it is expensive to correct these errors; never take a break without clocking out first. always advise someone whenever you see someone taking merchandise in the store, even if it is broken; avoid situations that could cause accidents and always concern yourself about keeping the merchandise stocked.
Celebrity in Macrobaby Every time we identify a “Celebrity” in the store will follow the procedures below: 1.
The manager should address the customer, thank you for your visit in our store and ask to take a picture with us. The picture should be taken in front of the store and in a way that shows the name of MacroBaby (see below).
2.
Ask the customer to check-in on Facebook and in return we will give a Primo Passi Thermometer and 01 (one) cream of Baby Jolie Mom Care (either model) - not forgetting to withdraw the product from the store inventory
34
3.
The manager must also analyze the popularity of the "celebrity" in their country of origin and offer a MacroBaby Gift Card between $ 100 and $ 300.00 to customer post the photo took in MacroBaby at least two social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest)
4.

5.
Finally upload the photos in our system, as pictured below.
CONDUCT Respect MacroBaby will not tolerate any lack of respect from any member of its team. If you think that someone showed a lack of respect for you, immediately report it to your manager. Any type of request, solicitation, questioning, doubt, etc., has to be made to the MANAGER. If the manager is not found, call them, the director, or the general manager. If none of the three are there, document it and then speak to one of them personally later. More serious subjects should be taken directly to the director. Don't involve more than one person in the problem. If the problem is with a superior, go directly to talk to the superior in accordance with the company's organizational chart. If the lack of respect was on the part of the customer, call another employee to assist that customer and advise the manager. If there are customers who try to contaminate other customers with their negative opinion about the company, act rudely and surpass the limits, call the manager to assist. When all else fails, if the misunderstanding continues, comment that you could call the police.
Honesty We believe in the honesty of our employees, but unfortunately, MacroBaby has already needed to take legal actions against some employees who acted in bad faith, not excluding the directors or management. The company has zero tolerance for dishonesty. We are capable of reporting any case to the police and opening a criminal case. Example: - If an employee picks up something or some value without permission and takes it home without asking, even if the product is broken or defective. Ask the management if for whatever reason you want something from the store. If an employee gets a drink or snack without paying or marking it on the account; - Not clocking out their time card while they are not working (this is not criminal, but will have consequences within the company).
35
Relationships with co-workers Many times, we spend the majority of our day at work and it is fundamental for us to maintain an agreeable, cozy and happy environment. Therefore, respect and tolerance are important for a good conviviality among co-workers. Team work means respecting others' differences, therefore, treat your co-workers as you would like to be treated. RESPECT is what is fundamental. Don't gossip about your colleagues, don't pass on your negative opinions to others since this will contaminate the team. Say good things and if you don't have anything good, to say, be quiet! Saying everything you think is important as long as you do so only to the person related to the subject. Don't multiply the problem. Resolve it! We greatly value a harmonious work environment. Remember this!
Opinions about the company MacroBaby has an open communication channel and we would always like to hear our employees. If you have something to say, be it about a procedure that you find inadequate, a function which you were given or anything else, talk to your superior and jointly try to find a solution to resolve the problem. We want happy employees who respect the company in which they work and therefore give them the freedom to talk to their managers. We don't look well upon employees who speak their personal opinions about the company with other co-workers. Your opinion could induce and change the opinion of other and we don't want this type of relationship within our company. We want a harmonious environment. Therefore, if you have something to say about the company, say it to the right people.

If the customer wishes to purchase this service, she should schedule it ahead of time since the professional is not in the store every day and their time is restricted (Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat from 10am to 5pm). Scheduling is done by e-mail at MacroBabyus@gmail.com, with the password USorlando, and the customer should make a payment of $20.00 that will later be discounted from the full amount. In the store, you will find the pamphlets with explanations.
MacroBaby VIP This service is another MacroBaby addition that offers exclusive attendance to any customer who wants the individual attention of a sales person, without interruption and without sharing the sales person with other customers. We created 3 different types of packages:
VIP 1 - the customer will have 3 hours of exclusive attendance in a single day and will cost $150. VIP 2 - the customer will have 4 hours of exclusive attendance in a single day and will cost $190. VIP 3 - the customer will have 6 hours of exclusive attendance divided into two days and will cost $280.
Important: payment for this service should be made in full when making the appointment. If it is necessary to reschedule, the customer can do so at a minimum of 24 hours in advance. In addition, it is worth highlighting that this service is not reimbursable. The attendance should be done outside the sales person's work hours, i.e., if the sales person is scheduled to work in the morning, she can only schedule a VIP for the evening so as not to get in the way of the store schedule. To make an appointment, access the system with your log in and password and then click on the icon "Checklist", option "Calendar" and look for the "VIP Schedule Form," filling out all of the requested data, including the credit card data to make the charge.
38
During the attendance, the customer needs to feel that she is having exclusive service. You should use a different colored shirt so that the other salespeople know that you are in a VIP. In addition, you can leave the radio turned off, being able to use it as necessary. The customer should use a "MacroBaby VIP" service brooch so that other customers know that she is a VIP customer and will receive: a bag, a MacroBaby cooler and an "On Board" sign from MacroBaby in Portuguese and/or English, in addition to being able to drink water and coffee on the house. The sale of this service will give you SPIFF according to the package sold: VIP 1 - $5.00 / VIP2 - $10.00 / VIP 3 - $15.00
Guarantee in Brazil This is a product that should be offered only to Brazilian customers who live in Brazil. It is a guarantee that will provide technical assistance services for a given product purchased from MacroBaby. Any product purchased in the store can have a guarantee, except the 4moms Origami stroller. The amount spent on the guarantee will vary according to the value of the product. See the table found in the pamphlet. The guarantee has a validity of one and a haf year from the purchase date. Upon payment, the customer will receive a certificate which should be kept and given to the insurer if the product presents a problem. Suggest to the customer that he should make a copy of the receipt upon arrival in Brazil which can be left with the certificate, since the actual receipt tends to fade with time and he will need this document to use the guarantee. The products that show a defect will have their parts replaced by other original parts and those that cannot be repaired will be substituted completely. Contact with the insurer can be made by e-mail or by telephone in RJ and SP.
CPS WARRANTY This is a extended warranty to all clients who live in United States. The warranty can only be purchased at the time of the sale. Complete coverage for up to 4 years after the manufacture’s warranty expires for a total of up to 6 years from the date of purchase. There are 2 diferent types of warranty. One specific to baby monitors (video camera – DVC) and one for other products as a stroller, playard, car seat, bouncers, walkers, etc called Total Care – TCP. This excluded consumables products such as light bulbs, batteries, etc. On the day of the purchase you will give the customer only the receipt. The customer will receive a letter from CPS at the given address in 7 to 15 business day. Daily before the store close the manager must send the CPS sales report of the day through our system. Only from that time that the warranty purchased by customers will be valid.
We pack your bag MacroBaby offers a specialized service for accommodating the baby stroller and car seat in their own bag and even leaves space to put other small products. Some airline companies charge from $100 to $150 per bag that exceeds the standard size + $150 to $200 per extra bag. This means that by checking the stroller box, which also surpasses the standard dimensions, the customer could be charged a fee of $350 (extra bag + oversize). The MacroBaby Bag also surpasses the standard baggage size and will depend on if the airline company charges extra or not. However, if there is a charge, you will only pay for the extra size and not for the extra bag since inside the bag we are able to unify 2 items. Therefore, upon acquiring our service, the customer will feel more comfort and security when checking their bag and will be able to avoid greater costs. Customers have the option to also buy only the bag if they do not want the packaging service.

CPST car seat installation Traffic accidents are the leading cause of death among children in the USA and many of the deaths could be avoided! Putting children in car seats that are appropriate for their age and size and having them installed correctly reduces serious injury and death by half. MacroBaby has an employee who is specialized in installing car seats and we offer guidance about the correct installation for their car to all customers who purchase a car seat from us. This service is free of charge and can be offered to all customers. It is worth emphasizing that this guidance is done only by the employee who has the certification for this and therefore it is necessary to know his schedule before offering it to the customer.
Layaway We have a layaway program that offers customers the chance to make their purchases and pay for them in smaller payments, according to their needs. This is a service that is available only for customers residing in the United States. It is necessary to pay at least 20% of the total amount and sign a contract during the purchase. The customer cannot have other open layaway contracts. They will have a term of 90 days to finalize payment. In addition, they will need to make the first payment up to 30 days after the deposit is made. All of the products will be kept during this period and be available to the customer. If after this period the payment is not complete, it will be necessary to make another layaway contract. However, the deposit is not reimbursable, substitutable or transferable and will have to pay it again. A readjustment in the value of the products that may have gone on sale after signing the contract will not be permitted. The same is true if the customer bought the product on sale and the payments are ending, we will assume the agreement that was made on the day the contract was signed. Canceling the contract will be permitted up to 7 days after its signature with full return of the deposit. After this period, no money will be returned.
Baby Registry The Baby Registry service is available to residents in the United States and is easy to do. The customer should go to the store, create their registry, and will receive a beautiful bag with invitation cards to send to their friends. Our attendant will teach them to use the scanner. The customer will walk around the store and scan the bar code for the products they would like to receive as presents. At the end, they will receive a printed list with all of the products they chose. Everyone you invite, upon arriving at the store to buy your present, should ask for your list so that they know which products have yet to be bought and therefore find a present for the customer. After 60 days, the customer can buy the products that they did not receive as presents at a 10% discount.
Virtual Shopping MacroBaby recently created the Virtual Shopping that offers the possibility for future mothers to make their make their layette purchases in the comfort of their home. Through video conferencing, using Skype, the customer will get to know our store and with the help of a sales person, will create their layette, as if they were actually in MacroBaby. We will respond to all of their questions and assure that they choose only the products that are necessary and obviously, we will always show them the new releases in the baby products industry. The cost of this service is $75 for three hours of attendance. In addition, it is possible to purchase an additional hour for $25. Scheduling the Virtual Shopping is done through customer service at the e-mail sac@MacroBaby.com or by telephone and the customer can opt to pick up the products or receive them at home. The customer will receive an e-mail confirming the appointment, a shopping list and the average cost of sending the products to Brazil (if this has been their chosen option). On the day and time marked, we will get in contact to start the Virtual Layette, showing all the products and responding to the customer's doubts. The products will be separated into a cart and at the end, we will go to the register to make the charge on the previously informed credit card. If the customer has opted to send the merchandise, within 24 hours they will receive the total amount of shipping for their purchase with all of the customs fees included. The purchases are properly packaged and delivered to the address given or separated to be picked up from the store.

Nursing Area With the intuition of better attending to customers, MacroBaby offers a nursing area which is reserved with the aim of keeping the privacy of the consumer. There, the customer will find a nursing chair, a pillow that is appropriate for supporting the baby and a blanket to cover the breast and the child as well as a breast absorber. The sales person should guide the customer to the nursing area and help the customer by closing the doors, reserving the space and showing them the free products available for use.
SALES SALES INSTRUMENTS Baby checklist We made a complete baby checklist for our customers with all of the necessary products and the suggested quantity to be purchased. This is available in English, Portuguese and Spanish. It is really important to give all of the customers this list since many times they come in the store looking for a given product and with the list in hand, discover a need for others. In addition, the list can be uses as a sales instrument that helps you remember the products that are in the store.
Brochures It is fundamental for our employees to use our Brochures. They were created to be used as sales tools! We look well upon employees who use them. For example: when a customer says that we are more expensive than Babies R Us, give them a Brochure that compares our prices with theirs and a Price Match leaflet to show them it is not true. Whenever a customer leaves without buying anything, give them the Price Match leaflets and other services that the company offers. If a customer is a Florida resident, tell them about the Local Resident Discount, in addition to giving them the other brochures. Get to know a little more about all of our Brochures.
Price Match When the employee is assisting a customer that is looking forward to making a purchase but looking for discounts and coupons, tell him/her about our Price Match program. Tell him/her to put all items wanted in the shopping cart and that after he/she is done you will go through all the items for possible price matches. Call your manager for approval afterwards. Encourage your customer to buy all the layette at MacroBaby instead of buying just the stroller. Explain to him/her that is not woth waisting their time going to other places for better prices if we Price Match. Always remind the customer that we have the largest selection of products, that we price match and we offer a personalized service in 3 languages : English, Spanish and Portuguese, which is an asset that other stores are not able to provide. Is the cashier responsibility to make sure that the discount is being applied correctly, creating a separate receipt for items that are not elegible for a discount if she feels the need to do so. The Florida Resident Discount card is not transferable, it is exclusive for the card holder.

Discount for locals (Florida Residents) All customers that are Florida residents will have a 10%* discount on their purchases and will be able to take advantage of much more when choosing products for their baby. To register, the customer will present, at the register, their valid Florida driver's license or valid identity, which could also be military, issued in Florida along with proof of residency in their name to receive their MacroBaby Florida Discount Card. The discount of 10% is for practically all products in the store, *except those by brands Quinny, Doona, Stokke, Bugaboo, Mima, Orbit, Baby Jogger, Inglesina, Uppababy, ErgoBaby, MacLaren, Nuna and Maxi Cosi. In addition, this discount is not cumulative with other coupons nor with Price Match, i.e., if the customer finds a product cheaper in another store and requests a Price Match, they should, in this case, opt for the 10% Florida resident discount or Price Match, since they can't be used together. In addition, it is not valid for the purchase of MacroBaby Gift Cards and the cashier should charge for the products with discount on a separate receipt, so the discount is not computed for products that do not have the respective discount.
Comparison between Stores Periodically, we check the price of our products in the competing stores so that we have competitive prices. We created 2 brochures that clearly show that fame that MacroBaby has as being an "expensive" store is not true. In the first place, we made the same purchase in two of our competing stores (Toys R Us and BuyBuyBaby) and we were in first place with respect to "price". Int he second place, we did a survey of the 200 most sold items in the store and we had the best prices on all of them. Use these two instruments to convince your customer to do their shopping at Macrobaby.
Gift Card You can also offer your customer the purchase of a MacroBaby GIFT CARD to give to anyone they choose. Selling a GIFT CARD using a credit card is not allowed, only debit or cash. In addition, you cannot give discounts, use coupons or even use the Florida resident discount to buy the card.
Spec All of the products on display, like: strollers, car seats, playards, bouncers and high chairs, have a explanation pamphlet called a SPEC. This has all of the information about the product, the available colors, if the stroller allows for car seat attachment or not and the weight limit, among other information. In addition, it has the bar code (UPC code) so that the product can be located in our data bank. The bar code is fundamental for registration in the Baby Registry (when the customer comes to the store and registers a layette list that they hope to receive as presents) and to help the salesperson when they need to find a product in the system. Another new item that you can find on the SPEC is the QR Code (a 2D bar code that can be scanned by the majority of cell phones) that will allow the customer to watch product demonstration videos with their phone. It is important to say that all SPECs need to be attached to the products and if for some reason you need to remove it, be it to check the product availability in the system or another reason, it SHOULD be put back as quickly as possible in its place. Taking off the SPEC and leaving them thrown on top of the shelves, near computers or another other area is not allowed.
Freebies Another sales instrument that you can use is telling customers about getting freebies at the end of their purchase. However, this should ONLY be mentioned to customers who keep insisting on knowing if they will or won't receive a discount and if you notice that they will be calmer to continue shopping at Macrobaby if they know they will get something. ONLY in this case, you could say that you will give a freebie at the end of the purchase; In the register area, we always leave some freebies for this end. Ask the cashier to give it to your customer.

Youtube Videos On YouTube, we have a channel available with how all of the strollers that are sold in the store work to help the salespeople and the customer that have a doubt about how to open, close and put in the car seat, etc. You could have access to these videos in two ways: 1. First, through the MacroBaby system. Just look for the product under the option Store or Stokke, double click to open the information about the product, access the item that has the logo beside the name and watch the video that shows how the stroller functions. 2. Then, through the QR Code (2D bar code that can be scanned by the majority of cell phones) through an application that can be downloaded for free on all cell phones. After scanning the bar code, you will have access to the video that shows how the strollers work.
Facebook Facebook, today, is one of the most used means of communication and the most sought after social network, globally speaking. Through it, the customer will learn about the new items in the store wherever they are. This social network enables true interaction between the customer and the company through questions and answers about products and services, which generates a proximity between the parties. It is also possible to leave feedback, suggestions and get customer opinions about the store.
Fanny pack You will receive a Fanny pack (pouch) to keep pens, a calculator, sales slips, etc. Its use will help you when you are taking your customer's order.
Measurement Conversion Chart The measurements used in the USA are different from most countries. For example: here we use Fahrenheit to measure temperature and not Celsius. We use inches or Fitches to measure length and distance, not centimeters and meters. Now learn how to use an APPROXIMATE conversion just for better customer understanding. WEIGHT: Pounds X Kilograms - 1 kilogram is equal to 2.2 pounds. So, dividing by 2 will give you a notion of the product weight. For example, if a stroller weighs 20 lbs, it weighs approx. 10 kilograms.
DISTANCE: • Feet X meters – 1 ft = 0.3048 meters Multiply the value in feet by 3 and drop one decimal place. Thus you will have an approximate value in meters. For example: an electronic nanny that covers 400 ft, if you multiply it by 3, ti would be 1200.00, drop one decimal place to 120.00 and it will have an approximate reach of 120 meters. Another example is a wall band that is 6.5ft, multiplied by 3 would be 19.5. Dropping the decimal place would be 1.95, i.e., almost 2 meters. • Inches x centimeters = 1 in = 2.54 cm Multiply the value in inches by 2.5. Then you will have the approximate value. For example, if the length of a box is 10 in., this means that it will be 25 centimeters.
