Introduction from Fiona, Executive Director The first of our summer publications brings a bumper film issue with something for everyone in the Norman McLaren filmhouse. As our festival for ages 12-17 years, mFEST, approaches, our young film programmers have been hard at work selecting the best of current and classic cinema - and if you are aged 12-17 you can access a very special £2 ticket for selected screenings, see page 3 for full listings. Special events for this issue: we are delighted to welcome back Stirling Bike Club with Follow Me, and a very special chance to see La Danse - The Paris Opera Ballet. Finally we celebrate the best of Scottish talent with a selection of films including Mrs Brown and Local Hero. The hugely anticipated graphic novel adaptation Kick-Ass hits the screens at the end of May, and we’re really looking forward to the Banksy satire Exit Through The Gift Shop. Revisiting those popular Oscar nominated-films you may have missed - Precious, The Hurt Locker and Avatar all return to the big screen; as well as a selection of favourites for our younger audiences including Alice in Wonderland, Up and Nanny McPhee. Our new artistic director will be place later on this year but in the meantime I am delighted to step in and welcome you to this very exciting cinema season!

Baby Pictures - You CAN still go to the cinema! BABY PICTURES IS MOVING! Come along and visit on our new Wednesday morning time slot. You may have noticed, sometimes our distributors just couldn’t get these films along in time for a Friday morning, so to ensure your viewing is uninterrupted, we’ve moved days. Please do let us know what you think about this and any aspect of Baby Pictures - we are here to listen! Just drop us a line on marketing@macrobert.org or call 01786 467155 if you have any feedback for us! Now you can bring your baby along and enjoy the latest releases on the big screen without worrying about bothering other members of the audience. The lights are turned up a bit and the sound is turned down, mats are out and there is space for buggies; creating a baby-friendly atmosphere. Membership is free and open to any baby under 12 months old - sign up before the film.

Documentary following the quest of Rupert Isaacson and his wife to find healing for their autistic son Rowan. After discovering that Rowan's condition appears to be improved by contact with horses and other animals, the family leave their home in Texas to seek help from the traditional shamans in Mongolia. Rupert will be attending this screening and will do a Q&A session and sign books.
