The Whiplash’s Roots

The Whiplash is featured for the season spring. It is inspired by the style period Art Nouveau (also known as “whiplash”.)

Art Nouveau (c. 1880 to 1910) work has sinuous curved lines making forms and structures have a natural look. Many works appear with stylized flowers, leaves, roots, buds, seedpods and the female form (in a Pre-Raphaelite pose with long, flowing hair.)
