ASSEMBLY HALL
The design of this space focuses on creating an atmosphere where the audience’s perspective is aligned to a state of harmony and balance. In this space, people can witness the traditions of the Dineh, or the Navajo people, of Northern Arizona. The audience can be self-transcended affectively by the elevating of attitude and the gaining of humility and gratitude. Through observing and experiencing the Navajo beliefs and way of life, the audience is empowered to grow a stronger connection with Creator, nature, tribe, and self.

a poster for a daltile competition incorporating fitwel into an office redesign a health studio & a wellness walk washington d. c.
The design intent of the Health Studio and the Wellness Walk is to demonstrate how enjoyable and enriching a healthy lifestyle can be, and to provide opportunies for employees to discover a new passion for wellness. The Health Studio is a mulpurpose room that can be scheduled for lunchme wellness acvies. The top of the stairs acts as a stage for presenters and includes a roll-down screen installed in the ceiling that instruconal health and exercise videos, like yoga, meditaon, health seminars, or other group fitness classes, can be projected on. The Health Studio features Dalle’s Ambassador Colorbody Porcelain in Wanderlust White and Saddle Brook Glazed Porcelain in Oak Trail as the feature les that run the length of the floor and up the adjoining wall. Dalle’s Fabric Art Colorbody Porcelain Mosaic in Modern Texle Midnight Blue is used on the accent wall. Two custom shelves on the stage area provide seang, shoe storage, and storage for yoga mats and sweat towels.

Chiropractor Bre Murdock, DC recommends employees take a 10-minute break to move around for every 60 minutes they sit at a desk. To encourage and remind employees to follow this pracce, the budget includes a Fitbit Flex 2 for every employee that they can wear throughout the workday. The Fitbit will remind them when it is me to get up and walk around, and employees can track daily acvity with the mobile app. The Wellness Walk is a designated track where employees can feel comfortable and confident to pracce this healthy habit.

The beginning of the Wellness Walk is located at the product display area near the front of the office. The Fabric Art Mosaic in Midnight Blue highlights the wall where TVs display the office’s health goals and progress from the Fitbit app. The design of the Wellness Walk is divided into three secons. The first secon of the track is at the front of the office and is laid with Ambassador in Wanderlust White. The second and
third secons of the track are paerns selected from Booz Allen Hamilton’s branding that are painted in white on the concrete floor (see floor plan on poster). Addionally, educaonal wellness ps will be painted on the concrete floor along the track. An example of one of these p is, “Aim to drink 4 to 6 16oz boles of water every day (see rendering on poster).”
