COMPANY HISTORY
TIFFANY & CO. HISTORY In 1837, New York became the proving ground for 25 year old Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young. The two opened a "stationary and fancy goods store" with only a $1,000 advance. The young entrepreneurs were inspired by the natural world, which they interpreted in patterns of simplicity, harmony, and clarity. Initially published in 1845, the Tiffany Blue Book was the first such catalogue to be distributed in the U.S. Since 1878, the signature Tiffany Blue color has distinguished the catalogue’s cover, as well as the famous Tiffany Blue Box, an icon of style and sophistication. By the 1950's Tiffany was a household name, being adored by many. Tiffany values high standards of quality and design excellence. These have made Tiffany & Co. one of America's greatest institutions.

Tiffany currently carries many different settings for their engagement rings, including Tiffany True, Tiffany, Harmony, Novo and Soleste. There are many challenges in this industry with the global decline in marriage rates and fast fashion trends. Many companies also struggle to turn their historic brands into a social media platform.
OBSERVED TRENDS Through observing the pop culture trends and analyzing trend forecasting services, we have found that many dresses for F/W 2019 are going to be very simple. With sophisticated necklines and elegant silhouettes, many trends are pointing to that of Meghan Markle's dress for the Royal Ceremony.

UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS
There will be a Tiffany Blue, silk heart sewn into each wedding dress. This key piece is indictive of a real Tiffany wedding gown. It also adds a touch of character to each of the dresses. Another unqiue feature of this heart is that it could possibly take the place of "something blue" for a bride. This heart will be sewn above the wearer's heart. This was done to allow the indivdual to feel even more special on their one-of-a-kind day.

For our marketing strategy, we decided to stick to true Tiffany fashion and go very simple. Each image is in black and white with the Tiffany blue as a small detail. This is something seen throughout Tiffany advertisments today. We also wanted to keep the images very simple for our dresses. Tiffany & Co. has always had very classic imagery, and by carrying that over into our marketing campaign, we hope to gain the same audience that we currently have.
