Belcaro is one of Denver’s prominent historic neighborhoods and is named after the Belcaro

Built from 1931-1933, the Belcaro Mansion was commissioned by Lawrence Cowle Phipps, a U.S. Senator representing Colorado. “Belcaro” means “beautiful beloved” in Italian. One of the upscale “fashionable” neighborhoods in central Denver, Belcaro is bounded by University & Colorado Blvd, Mississippi Ave and Cherry Creek Drive. Close to Cherry Creek shopping and a few minutes from downtown, it’s expansive lots boast mansions, ‘60s ranch-style houses, and new custom homes. Tree-lined streets and immaculate yards add to the quiet charm.
