FELLOWSHIP
SUNDAY 16 Praise God that, thanks to MAF flights, Bible teachers were able to share the Gospel in Puluk, in Papua, Indonesia. Please uphold Papuan evangelist Liku, who decided to live among the community there with his family in order to spread the Good News. Give thanks that many villagers have now become Christians.
MONDAY 17 The MAF-run Lutheran Hostel in Papua New Guinea (PNG) enables the children of MAF missionary families to receive a good secondary education. The students stay at the boarding house with Leigh and Inneke MacRae during term-time so they can attend Ukarumpa International School. Pray that, as the students spend time away from their families, they will enjoy fellowship with other teenagers
TUESDAY 18 ‘Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing’ (1 Thessalonians 5:11, ESV). Prayerfully consider whether there is someone in your life to whom you could offer a word of encouragement.
JULY
WEDNESDAY 19 For several years, MAF PNG transported building material so that Ankem Church could construct a new building. On Christmas Eve 2022, MAF families were invited to its dedication. Pray that the church will continue to grow and be a blessing to the local community
FRIDAY 21 Earlier this year, more than 3,000 people came together in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo to celebrate the completed translation of the New Testament and the book of Genesis in the Budu-Nita language. Pray that the believers will benefit greatly from being able to read God’s Word. Pray too for the translators, who hope to begin work on the rest of the Old Testament soon
THURSDAY 20 Give thanks for the opportunity our trainee pilots had earlier this summer at Flight Camp in the Netherlands. As well as learning some of the specialised skills needed for MAF operations, they spent time getting to know their instructors and one another better around a campfire. Uphold these missionary pilots of the future, praying for God's blessing on their ministry.
SATURDAY 22 Praise Jesus for the work of frequent MAF flyer Africa Inland Mission (AIM). The Christian NGO, which works in Kimatong, South Sudan, is encouraging local believers to start their own church. Pray for the team as they seek to encourage the Christians and build relationships there
