Following the issue number one of this young magazine, we bring you more knowledge about the physical activity in aquatic spaces. This number two is filled with knowledge from many countries, giving our magazine lots of training and lesson insights. Names like Javier Bergas del Rio, one of the most famous professionals, wrote an article on the training in aquatic space and its advantages. New for this edition is the introduction of a space dedicated to nutrition, at a time of the year when many students come to us with many doubts about it. The goal is not to be exhaustive in this area, but to give small tips that can be helpful and help our students. As in all editions, we have our interview with a professional reference in the world of aquatic fitness and this time, we chose Kim Geeroms, a master trainer in Aquatic Exercise Association, which granted us the previlege of her answers. Undoubtedly, it is an interview to read carefully, since our guest show us paths and ways to succeed in this special area. In this issue, you can always find many more articles that will leverage your knowledge, written by several professionals, ranging from new modalities, management sports facilities, the use of new materials as well as the way water aerobics is currently seen, visualizing signals and rails so that this can be changed thought.

HYDROGYMNASTICS
An ancient modality that changes current stereotypes?
“There is no age limit for the practice of water aerobics. Water, exercise, movement, fun and socializing are key elements”

We begin to see a “change” in the people´s mentality on this issue. They are starting to be several, the generations that immerse themselves in water aerobics classes and which challenge existing stereotypes. However, it seems that this change has been taking place especially in those who experience, those who take the first step and come to us. But then and those who have not yet had the courage to do so? Do you still believe that this is a modality for “old” and that What motivated you to try a hydrogymnastics class it is this stereotype that prevents them from experimenting? for the first time? Maybe it’s worth reflecting about this. . “The opportunity to practice sports combined with the taste What would you like to pass on to others from your of contact with water as well as relieving stress at the end of experience as a water aerobics practitioner? a day of work ... “(40 years) . “It’s worth starting, at the end of a month you notice . “By medical indication ...” (61 years) improvements in everything. “(50 years) . “Curiosity ...” (24 years) . “For the experience and advice of friends ...” (33 years) . “Beginning to practice physical exercise ...” (20 years)
Hydrogymnastics appeared first in Germany to meet initially
Improvement of cardiovascular resistance;
the needs of a group of older people, who needed to practice physical activity safely, without causing risks or injuries and that would provide them with physical and mental well-being. In this sense, the question arises: “Is the reason for its origin maintained in the present times and the hydrogymnastics continues to be targeted only at older people?“
Increased levels of strength and muscular endurance;
Development of balance and coordination;
Body awareness and improvement of
self esteem;
For many years, students who attended classes of water aerobics were, effectively, in the age group between the ages of 45 and 70 or even more. This situation was due, in large part, to the fact that doctors considered that, for the elderly not to lose mobility and muscle tone they needed to perform some form of physical exercise in a controlled and safe way, preferably exercises in the aquatic environment, since, within water, the joint impact is greatly reduced.
Feeling of physical and emotional well-being; .... It is unquestionable that these benefits serve the purposes of any person, regardless of their age range. But do all people have such awareness or are there still stereotypes? What do our students currently think on this issue?
In a questionnaire intended for water aerobics, of both genders, I tried to “give voice” to people, because after all they are our audience and it is for them that we work and This is true. However, it is necessary that the benefits of the we guide all our effort and dedication to. spring asthenia. For an athlete, having asthenia of spring may become a limitation, as it may make it difficult to carry out hours of training or achieving goals due to the lack of energy and motivation involved. What are Beta-endorphins? Beta-endorphins are a chemical produced by the brain that is capable of altering the other cells. Beta-endorphins are known as “Neurotransmitters of happiness, well-being and pleasure,” since they are the ones that awaken the feeling of joy and happiness. If, on the other hand, betaendorphin levels decrease, the resulting effect is a feeling of malaise and general decay. Trying to combat and prevent spring asthenia is essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It is essential to:
“The blood changes in the spring” is a famous popular saying. At this time of year, there are many changes – both environmental and lifestyle aspects- which also require a adaptation of the body. On the one hand, temperature changes are frequent, since between morning and noon there is a notable difference in degrees. On the other hand, our biorhythm and lifestyle, also change: the fact that the day Keep an organized rhythm of daily life. extends itself involves inevitably more hours away from home Respect the hours needed for your sleep. and making small changes in mealtime. During the process of adaptation, we can feel a sensation of fatigue and generalized weakness that, throughout the time, has been diagnosed as a disorder and is known as asthenia of spring. Asthenia, as a disorder, may occur throughout the year, but it is during the seasons changes - especially in the fall and spring – that they strike stronger.
Pratice moderate exercise. Follow a healthy and balanced diet.
Following a healthy diet is a fundamental condition so that the body gets the nutrients it needs to stimulate the immune system and fight the symptoms. A good adjustment in the diet will provide the body with the essential nutrients: proteins, Spring asthenia affects one in ten people, especially women carbohydrates, fats, minerals, vitamins and water. between the ages of twenty and fifty. For an athlete, having asthenia of spring may become a limitation, as it may make it difficult to carry out hours of training or achieving goals due to the lack of energy and motivation involved. We can also increase the amount of food which provides energy - such as vegetables, nuts, and vitamin C - wiki, mango, pineapple, rosewood, citrus, melons, strawberries, pepper and tomatoes. Also in vitamin B - green leafy vegetables of the cabbage family, cauliflower, broccoli, whole grains and legumes. The diet should also be rich in minerals, which are found in vegetables and seaweed. Apart from that, in the spring it is advisable to make a diet to help eliminate excess stored toxins on your body; therefore, you must incorporate salads, fruits and seeds in your daily diet.

MODALITIES
Does Aqua Jump make sense? As a fitness professional, my daily obligation is to take the BEST to my clients. For this, I need to read, listen, study, know and above all try to cross many knowledges to help me in this mission. On this path and in the passion that I place in what concerns aquatic fitness, I came across a new modality in which jump’s are used (mini-trampolines), in aquatic space. As i seek to know the most about my area, I dedicated myself to studying and to understand this new modality, trying to understand if it does, in fact, make sense. So I went to look for credible and available information, crossing it with my experience in doing this type of class and with knowledge of my daily work in aquatic fitness. After this investigation, this was one of the phrases that caught my attention the most: “The movements of Jump, the jumps in the minitrampoline generate a great contraction of the muscles of the lower limbs“, and it was withdrawn of a manual of this modality, directed to its practice in land. Analyzing this statement it is necessary to understand if it corresponds to reality in the aquatic space. Dissecting it and verifying what the induced muscular work is to the aquatic space, we can verify that the moment of eccentric contraction is greatly reduced due to the increase of the descent time, higher in an aquatic space , necessarily caused by the driving force. Having in account some of the studies analyzed, there is a decrease in the ground reaction of the force (in this case to the trampoline screen) between 7
AQUAMAGAZINE N.2 | 2018
First of all, we need to know the advantages and limitations of aquatic spaces and see if it makes sense to bring certain materials. terrestrial and aquatic space, between four and five times in the aquatic space. This can be inferred from hence in the eccentric phase of the movement the intensity of the exercise is much smaller in the aquatic space. Doing the analysis of the concentric moment, that is, the moment you push the feet of the canvas in an upward vertical direction, in the aquatic space, one can also verify that by the action of the force of impulsion, this same movement has aid, probably decreasing the intensity of exercise, being, the same smaller in comparison, the more body immersed in water exists at that moment. This happens because, with more body inside the water, the production of strength and control of the body is diminished. Concluded the analysis and not wanting to withdraw definitive conclusions, we may deduce from this that perhaps all the benefits of force gains and great contraction muscular activity induced by this activity in aquatic space, are not as true asone would think.
Another phrase that I picked from my research and analysis was: “Excellent choice for those who can not perform physical activities with impact, as the minitrampolim attenuates the impacts by up to 80% “. Once again we have to dissect the whole phrase, looking for evidence and facts that may prove this statement to be true. As for the issue of impact, I do not think it is necessary to take a trampoline into the water so that the impact is reduced. The simple gesture of entering the water causes the subject to experience the sensation of lowering his body weight,as previously explained, there is a reduction of the impact on aquatic spaces. The reason this happens is precisely caused by the force of impulsion, getting smaller the greater the immersion of the body. However, once again I can not see the effective advantage, in what concerns physical activity, to the use of this material. The costs associated with it are high. Those who work in aquatic
fitness and lives on by the same profession, in my way of seeing things, must treat it well. Realizing what in fact can be applied in it or not. We can not transport everything that is done in terrestrial space and transpose to the aquatic space. First of all, we need to know the advantages and limitations of the aquatic space and if it makes sense to bring certain materials. And I say that taking into consideration some studies that I had the opportunity to read. However, some of them even indicate that some parameters such as heart rate, lactate, perception subjective effort, are similar between land and water, but the structuring of the methodology has some flaws, especially in the quantity of body immersed in hydro jump during the tests. In conclusion, I have not found advantages that might lead me to say that it is worth the use of this type of material in aquatic space. First of all, we need to know the advantages and limitations of aquatic space and see if it makes sense to bring certain materials.
“Excellent choice for those who can not perform physical activities with impact, as the minitrampolim attenuates the impacts by up to 80% “.

I do not feel there is a “competition” between water fitness and terrestrial ... they are different and ABSOLUTELY complementary. I have many clients / students who combine the two of them: 2 classes in the water and 2 lessons on land. It is a different way of training, challenging the whole body in different ways. With gravity on the ground, everything (against gravity) is difficult ... while in water, the resistance is 3D (hard work in any direction), the flotation is up (so hard . Stronger / better neuromuscular stimulation to work it down). The main advantages in water are: . Because of 3D resistance: the most efficient way to train all . as a student, you can “choose” your own intensity. The muscles in pairs (agonist-antagonist). more you work the water, the more intense the training, and vice versa. There is ALWAYS activation and use of the core, . You always have a balanced workout. especially in deep water. . The pool options are the same as a gym: step, aerobics, . Water is much more accessible for special populations cycling, walking, jogging, toning, dancing, Body & Mind .... (obesity, arthritis, pregnant women, the elderly, LBPS, ... ) Our great task is to adapt the best possible to create a unique pool experience so that the students are also addicted to because of: aquatic fitness. . Less impact on joint training, but stronger on muscle training.
“Water fitness is rapidily developing in the moment(...)”
. Lower muscle tone: muscles are easier to relax, stretch. . Safer environment to train balance and prevention of falls. 11

Given your experience, how do you see the future of aquafitness?
new programs, equipment, research, o it is growing very fast all over the world, which is great for the industry. We are reaching the ground of Fitness, and I am convinced that we are even more developed in some areas of the than on land. Aquatic fitness will become more important and will play an important role not only in group lessons, but also in personal training and hydrotherapy. All of us share a great passion and professionalism, and I believe that more and more people will discover aquatic modalities and add them to their weekly workout. Our mission is to take a considerable number of “people of the land” into the water and show them the fantastic, varied and endless options that we got in the pool!

OPINION
A tool for high level training Imagine for a moment, a place where conditions will be optimal to train an elite sportsman. How should this place be? Take, for example, an environment in which this athlete would reduce joint stress without having to reduce the intensity of muscle and cardiovascular training. Where there would be greater effort and an absence of muscuar inflammation of origin (also known as needles). A space in which exercise can be performed by decreasing the frequency and heart rate so you can increase the intensity of the same. Where we can move in any direction and nonetheless provoke a resistance to movement, causing a greater muscular activation. A place where you get different and innovative training for many different athletes. Motivational trainings and revolutionary athletes in love with their trainings. What if we call this place “WATER”? The aquatic environment has excellent properties that facilitate a new typology of elite athletes and, therefore, for all those people who seek an innovative type of training, complementary to their daily routines and very close to the highest level. One of the best known properties of the aquatic environment is the hypogravity, caused mainly by the property of Archimedes or by the impulse of water; which results in a decrease in body weight and, therefore, the impact with the ground up to almost 90% (depending on the depth we are submerged in) and, with this, tensions in the joints decreased. It is for this reason that a physical activity can be performed more frequently and even with more durable sessions, or in learning and improvement sessions for reduction of the joint load associated with it (the block jump in Volleyball players ...). In addition to favoring, as mentioned Camus [1] (1986), a relaxation of the musculature, since the neuromuscular axes disorders are less excited, caused by the decrease in basal muscle tone at a general level which translates, at
15

the same time, into an increase in ROM. At the same time, thanks to the viscosity or density of water (up to 12 times bigger than air) and poor hydrodynamics of the human body, any movement in that environment causes braking and leakage that hinder the conversion of the medium aquatic environment in an excellent place for the muscle strength and toning. Sova [2] (1993) and where the movement in any direction will induce greater muscular activation and, at the same time, time, facilitate the muscular balance atthe level of the load of training ; interesting to eliminate imbalances and improve body position, reduce body training time and protecting the joints, among others. If we add this according to the third law of the Newton’s movement: “For every action there is a similar in the same direction and in the opposite direction “and we added another more specific law for the aquatic environment which indicates that by increasing the speed of movement it increases to the square the resistance that this offers us, we can understand that we are facing an “academy of three-dimensional training “; something very desired in the methodologies current physical training. Quoting Colado [3] (2004) “... there is an excellent research which demonstrates the possibility of improving the aerobics capability in the aquatic environment of exercises that are not exclusively swimming techniques “. In addition, and as Selepak says [4] (2001) the physiological response of the organism in the aquatic environment is similar to that of the terrestrial environment; as there is no significant differences, for example, in the metabolism, in the demands of oxygen or in the production of carbon dioxide. In this line, and as quoted Moreno, Colado and Vidal [5] (2000), different authors quantified the reduction of CF in the aquatic environment by encrypting it, based on their results in 17 bpm (Windhorst and Chossek)
(1988); McArdle et al. (1986)) or 10 bpm (Hoeger et al. (1992)). Even Lindle (1989) found that the benefits were similar when the HR in water was 13% smaller than on the ground. Consequently, and applying this information to obtain the best zone of activity in thewater environment. we must subtract 10.17 p / m from the data btained for the desired FCT. Another of the properties of water influencing the training is the hydrostatic pressure, present, among others, in the above mentioned abatement of beats per minute. adaptive exercises and overcompensation processes ... very significant in high level training. If we talk about caloric expenditure ... Darby and Yaekle (2000) quoted by Colado (2004) state that it has been proven that, with the same intensity of exercise, caloric expenditure in water is greater by 1-2 Kcal / min. While it should be taken into consideration that only the knowledge of such properties on the human body and its correct use (as in the use of any other type of training or equipment) and the good programming, will make training effective and efficient. So before we put our athlete in the water, we need to plan and learn about this new tool which, little by little step, will make us discover a “new world” of training possibilities.
In addition, the immersion body becomes an excellent recovery feature: you can reduce waste, avoid sensation of weight and muscle overload, accelerate processes of
Another of the properties of water that influence training is the hydrostatic pressure, present, among others, in the decrease mentioned above of the beats per minute. Baum [6] (2000)

be carried out through the opinions of users and non users, with objectives aimed at knowing the needs of the sports, in an effort to meet the best possible existing services and others to be offered. This type of study should also enable the verification of the image of criticism that people may have of the sports services that will be evaluated through their opinions.
QUALITY
of sports facilities with aqua spaces The practice of regular physical activity has been recommended for the prevention and rehabilitation of cardiovascular diseases and other chronic diseases by different health associations such as the American College of Sports Medicine, Sociedade Brasileira de Cardiologia, among others. Regular practice of physical exercise has beneficial effects in the prevention and treatment of hypertension, insulin, diabetes, obesity among others. With that, the practice of sports should be stimulated for all healthy people and also people with multiple risk factors, provided that they are oriented (Ciolac and Guimarães, 2004). Coronary artery disease is the major cause of mortality in the majority of industrialized countries and is associated with the population lifestyle and cardiovascular risk factors (Izeli, Maciel, and Junior, 2007). According to (Sarmento, 2001), among the most searched in all searches and all studies, swimming is most preferred, regardless of the gender or age of the samples, and the pools as the sporting facilities par excellence. Among the most sought after physical activity is the one performed in the aquatic environment, which consequently also increases the need for adequate facilities and locations, and also the increase in the number of professionals with competences to provide such services. Physical activity is increasingly practiced in order to satisfy the will of the people, be it with regard to time, location or type of activity chosen. Those people seek activities whenever they want, when they can and they choose the ones that give them the most pleasure (Barreira, 2003). With the current market, where changes are constant and competition is increasing, it is becoming more and more necessary that organizations and individuals are constantly prepared for these factors that, as all variations bring change, needs, adaptations and innovations essential for the survival of organizations (Rubingh, 2004). For (Pires, 2003), the best way to build the future is having a vision of it and then working to make it happen. Second (Constantino, 1994) a sports equipment have to come up with the main objective of satisfying needs of a given population. The same author also says that the management of equipment is the set of actions most necessary for the better use of the sports facilities, with the purpose of allowing users to practice sports activities under the best possible conditions. More and more people are looking for a better quality in life, and it is clear that each has its own preferencesto make everyday life as pleasant as possible. Between what is sought by people in order to have a better quality in life, is clearly demonstrated a great demand for the practice of physical activity, adopted since the youngest all the way up to the oldest in the age pyramid. Physical activity emerges as an instrument capable of improving some of the aches caused by the way of modern life , where our body is daily punished by the problems of daily life (Mota, 1992). The management of sporting organizations should create systems with coherence of procedures in decision-making 17

in objectives and targets for sport, as well as for choice of activities needed to achieve objectives and also to stimulate all members of the organization to work together, in real teams with coordinated actions, aiming at the established goals (Hernández, 1999) A gestão das organizações desportivas deve criar sistemas The management of sporting organizations should create systems with coherence of procedures in decision-making in objectives and targets for sport, as well as for choice of activities needed to achieve objectives and also to stimulate all members of the organization to work together, in real teams with coordinated actions, aiming at the established goals (Hernández, 1999) According to (Pires, 2003), for the analysis of a given situation to become a practical and useful instrument, it will have to be adjustable, from predetermined structures, through methodological processes, to the different realities of the various regions, countries, sportsmanship. After the knowledge of the situation analysis of a given situation, the knowledge necessary to understand it and these key questions for the decision-making on the future organization of the the objectives to be achieved will come, depending on which you want to achieve: where do you find yourself at the moment? Where do you want to go, how do you can or do you want to get there? This whole process happens in a way that is not always planned, often creating competition among facilities, and creating difficulties of monetization by the lack of a national planning framework (Carmo, 2006). It is becoming more and more imperative to have the knowledge of various elements that may or may not interfere with success in the implementation of new sports facilities or sports events, so that the management of such equipment or events can have the objectives well planned and consequently achieved. According to Pereira (1995), market studies should
taken before the very construction of the installation, during its operation and afterwards in order to correct some errors or problems that may arise or happen.
During the operation, after a study where it will be very important to observe the preferences of the locals in relation to the activities to be carried out, a prior timetable of people and activities, characteristics of the local population and The creation of such equipment should also promote local, culture. economic and social development through the creation of jobs, leisure, tourism, commerce and also the promotion of It will also be necessary to have competent and capable the provision of sports services and occupation of leisure time human resources in addition to performing a good team by citizens as well as the encouragement of sporting practice. work, conquering existing and new users from actions that can serve as positive advertising for the company in the Today we live in a world where the difference in some factors permanence and capture of new students as for example: impose themselves, such as the requirement for quality, good reception of students, clear mastery of knowledge of the speed, effectiveness, economy, organizational structure, work performed, adequate posture to the function developed the commitment and professionalism that determine the in the company, punctuality and results. construction of success. Whoever takes better care of the details, knowing how to integrate as closely as possible the own variables of organizations will surely be the one to buildthe paths that will lead to the much sought after excellence. We can also say that they will also be the best in the ability to overcome the obstacles, the confusion and the conflicts that always arise (Borges, 2004). According to the same author, the dynamics of the teams in any situation, is being built over time, and in order for that to happen it is necessary that whoever is leading, knows and define the objectives, select the activities and have sufficient knowledge to choose a team that is competent and able to perform the different functions with the necessary qualities that sports or other activities should possess. It is very important that anyone who has the responsability of running a business can plan, conduct and evaluate the objectives and the whole organization and that it can achieve such a significant effectiveness, so that it can transform groups into teams in which all strive for the same objectives. In this way, we see that there is a common thought between the various authors with regard to the importance of physical activity and sports, in sports facilities and some particularities for success and management that is to define the main objectives, which are necessary for a better use of sports equipment. Our conclusions are that in order to monetize a sports equipment, which is private or public, swimming pool or any other installation, it will be necessary several measures to be
