WINTERBOTTOM NEW JOSERO MD

Wide format equipment distributor Josero has announced that Sarah Winterbottom is taking over the role of Managing Director as founder Loic Delor steps back from the day to day running of the business to focus on product development and special projects, remaining

a company director. Sarah, formerly Business Development Manager, has been Acting Managing Director since January 4th 2021, and the promotion will become official on April 6th 2021.

Sarah Winterbottom has more than twenty years experience in the print industry, holding a number of senior roles before joining the team at Josero in October 2019. Sarah is also the co-founder of Women in Signs and Graphics, an initiative with a mission to inspire, encourage and promote women in the industry. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the pace of change within Josero, and the business has decided it is the right time to officially implement the new leadership structure.

Loic Delor founded Josero in 2003, and has held the Managing Director role since the company’s inception. Delor will be focusing on Josero’s wideranging spare parts online shop, Josero Spares, stating that e-commerce growth and the events of the past year have highlighted the need for further development in this aspect of the business. Additionally, the change will allow Delor to address any Brexit complications that may impact Josero’s significant business on the continent.

Sarah comments: “This is a very exciting opportunity for me personally and also for the future of Josero. I am thrilled that Loic has the confidence in me to take over the running of the business, and look forward to continuing to grow it alongside the excellent team we have in place. It has been an interesting few months but I am pleased with the developments we have made during this challenging time, and I am looking forward to planning for the months and years ahead. I would also like to thank our customers and suppliers, without whom none of it would be possible, for their on-going support.”

DURST GROUP RESTRUCTURES

Durst Group, manufacturer of future oriented digital printing and production technologies, is restructuring its successful Label

& Flexible Packaging segment. The current Segment Manager Helmuth Munter will retire at the end of 2021 after more than 40 years with the company. He will be succeeded in the role of Global Sales Manager Label & Flexible Packaging by Thomas Macina. The native of South Tyrol comes from HP Indigo, where he was most recently Labels Business Manager EMEA in Barcelona. Thomas Macina’s career spanned more than 15 years at HP and he is considered a proven expert in digital printing technology. He has been in his introductory phase at the Durst Group since February and will assume his role for the EMEA region in April. This will be followed in June by responsibility for global sales of Label & Flexible Packaging products.

Until his retirement, Helmuth Munter will continue to be involved in the transition and provide advice and support to the new management team, which also includes Martin Leitner as Product Manager. Over the past ten years, the Label & Flexible Packaging segment has developed into an important business unit of the Durst Group and, with the Tau RSC printing systems, has made a significant contribution to the digital transformation in the industry. Tau single-pass printing systems now have a market share of around 40% of the UV inkjet market segment, with an installation base of more than 250 printing presses worldwide.

“At the same time, I would like to warmly welcome Thomas Macina to the Durst family,” adds Christoph Gamper. “We are delighted to have gained a real market expert for the company, and someone who also has his roots in South Tyrol. The current pandemic situation has also been favourable to us as it has given us sufficient time to ensure a smooth transition. I am convinced that Thomas will continue to drive the Tau success story together with the entire label team.”
