What is Mustang’s Seat Warranty?

All Mustang seats and accessories have a one-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship. Your warranty is automatically activated on date of purchase. Every seat is permanently labeled with a serial number, a one-year warranty and our toll free telephone number. If a product appears defective, call Mustang to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization form (RMA). All returns must be carefully packed to avoid shipping damage; you are responsible for return shipping charges. Mustang will, at their discretion, repair or replace the defective portion of the seat or accessory and return it to you freight paid. Incidental or consequential damages or labor charges arising from or in connection with installation or use of a Mustang product are not covered by this warranty.

Mustang motorcycle seats are sold worldwide through franchised motorcycle dealers and established accessory shops that have retail store fronts and regular business hours. Descriptions Variations of styles and descriptions are available depending on the motorcycle make and model. Some seats have a two-piece look but are built on a single baseplate.

SPORT TOURING STYLE The comfort of a touring seat with a sporty, stylish look.

WIDE STUDDED STYLE The perfect combination of comfort and traditional styling. Features a skirt with braided edge trim, chrome studs, and leather tied conchos.

WIDE VINTAGE STYLE The same specifications of the Wide Studded style with the braided edge skirt but no studs or conchos.

DRIVER BACKREST TOURING STYLES The ultimate in comfort and versatility, the driver backrest is fully adjustable and easily removable without tools. Available with or without studs and conchos.

WIDE REGAL STYLE A soft pillow top tufted with covered buttons highlight this touring seat.

REGAL DUKE™ A streamlined version of the Wide Regal style. Split construction keeps the passenger from sliding forward.

SQUAREBACK™ The Squareback™ is a sharply contoured design. The cover has sewn-in center panels but no buttons or unnecessary stitch work to clutter its clean look.

FASTBACK™

Cut low to the ground with enough molded foam to be comfortable. The tapered rear section flows smoothly to the fender, yet has adequate padding to be used as a passenger seat.

What Makes Mustang the Most Comfortable Seats in the World? Mustang seats are meticulously designed so that the baseplate, foam and cover components combine to make the finest, most comfortable seat possible. All components are handcrafted to give you a quality finished product because, with a well-designed seat, there is no reason to be uncomfortable. Check out the pictures from our factory on page 95.

Baseplate: All baseplates are designed and manufactured at our New England facility. The baseplate is made of marine-grade fiberglass, 3/16” thick, finished in high gloss gel coat. All brackets are riveted in place. Exposed brackets are bright chrome plated.

The edges of all baseplates have a steel reinforced, impact absorbing vinyl edge trim to protect the seat cover.

Hidden brackets have a tough, black epoxy powder coat finish.

Polyurethane rubber bumpers are strategically located and riveted to the baseplate to prevent it from touching the frame and fender and to minimize vibration. Bumpers will not crack with age and are ozone protected.

;Mustang’s unique internal steel support wings are added to the baseplate to provide maximum passenger comfort. These wings support the entire width of the molded foam. This feature is found on most Mustang touring seats.

Foam:

All foam is compounded and molded at our New England facility. The exact shape, angle and density of each Controlled density polyurethane foam seat foam is formulated and cast to be soft provides all-day comfort. Cover:

All covers are designed, cut and sewn at our New England facility. Covers are made of the highest quality expanded vinyl available. They have the appearance of leather but the durability and resistance to the elements that exceed original equipment standards for motorcycle seats. All seams are sewn twice for strength. The bottom edge is hemmed where the rivets hold the cover to the baseplate. The edges of our studded seat skirts are finished with braid. Decorative studs are plated brass, not steel, and will never rust. Conchos are custom, heavy die cast zinc, not a thin stamping and are hand-tied with genuine leather straps. Our fringe is vat dyed leather so that the color goes all the way through. Regal styles are tufted with covered buttons which are double tied with four cords, not two. Mustang seats do not lose their buttons. ACCESSORIES

A truly unique look in hard saddlebags! Mustang’s unique skirted lids feature braided edge trim, studs and conchos, as well as classic braided accents on the bags that evoke a nostalgic look. These flat-backed bags with recessed front corners for axle clearance are made of reinforced fiberglass and covered with our high quality expanded vinyl. Bags and lids feature a rubber seal to help make the bags ultra water resistant. The inside surface is lined with a durable felt-like material that is easy on the contents as well as the knuckles. Mustang Saddlebags are undrilled for a universal fit that will clear most exhaust systems. Mounting hardware is not included; see page 89. Turn signal relocation may be required on some models.
