Each polisher takes pride in supplying a top quality finish to every product. The high luster finish is easy to maintain and PM recommends Mothers or Eagle One Aluminum Polish to keep it like new.

C H RO M E Show chrome is what you get with every PM chrome product. Our secret is in the preparation! We send each raw part to our polishing department first, creating a mirror like finish before the chrome is even layed on! This process allows PM to create ultra smooth and durable chrome plated parts. Lustrous finish is easy to maintain with proper maintenance and care. Includes a two year from date of purchase warranty on chrome plating.

B L AC K A N O D I Z E D For those who prefer a more subtle look with less shine, PM offers our most popular calipers and Contour control systems in black anodized. Much like our chromed brakes, we send each raw part to our polishing department first, creating a mirror like finish before the anodizing is done! The result is an exceptionally smooth finish. Black anodized is also the easiest to care for finish that PM offers.

CO N T R A ST CUT PMâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s innovative Contrast Cut finish goes through the same anodizing process, but this time we take it one step further. After anodizing, the product is machined again to expose the raw aluminum of the PM logo.

TESTING Each Performance Machine Wheel and Brake is designed and engineered to specific standards and thoroughly tested. Starting with computer simulated stress analysis, our engineers assess each design. We do not stop there, though, as we quantify our findings with data from physical testing in our sophisticated in-house test department. PM tests to strict world wide standards such as JASO and TUV.

TO R S I O N A L LOA D T E S T E R The PM Torsion Load Test simulates starting and stopping, as well as the occasional burn out. Load sensitive rams cycle back and forth replicating real world style torture in an attempt to rip the hub out of the rim. Each wheel design, as well as size is tested before PM goes into production.

I M PAC T TESTER The massive PM Impact Testing unit simulates the pot holes and road hazards that a wheel is subjected to in the real world. We wrap each and every wheel size and design with a tire and replicate a hard edged hit; the wheel must retain air pressure for a specific time in order to pass.

S I D E LOA D T E S T E R Motorcycle wheels are subjected to incredible stress during cornering and we have reproduced these forces with our side load test unit. As with all of our testing, each wheel design, as well as size is subjected to this mechanical torture and then evaluated for damage. If a wheel does not survive this or any other test, it is scrapped and redesigned.

R A D I A L LOAD TESTER The giant PM Radial Load Tester simulates a load on a tire/wheel assembly. The wheel is spun up to speed and loaded to replicate real world forces. The wheel is forced to endure countless rotations and is then checked for flaws.

TESTING A stock V-Twin comes out of the factory with a bit over 50 horsepower on tap, rarely does it stay that way, though and the bulk of these bikes are upgraded with high performance pipes, cams, carbs and other go fast parts. In an effort to increase performance many riders overlook the very system designed to bring it all to a stop. With that in mind, we used our dyno and compared stock brakes to PM systems.

The dyno is run up to 60 MPH and then the brakes are applied. The first run is with the stock single piston floating caliper and then with PMâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s 4 piston unit. This test was repeated over and over with nearly identical results. The difference is pretty substantial.

The stock 4 piston calipers are considered by most to be significantly better then previous versions, so we pitted them against our best. In this case a 6 piston differential bore caliper and a full floating 13â&#x20AC;? disc (stock is 11.5â&#x20AC;?).

At 80 MPH, the disparity between stock and high performance brakes is most apparent. Although this test does not take into account traction, rear brakes, or any number of other variables, it does show the potential difference upgrading the brake system on your bike can make.

We tend to find ourselves running the highways somewhere near 80 MPH, so this particular comparison was an eye opener. The stopping difference is nearly 4 car lengths!

FAC TO R The Contrast Cut Stealth features an innovative, military grade anodized coating that is the most durable any motorcycle wheel has ever seen. The Stealth derived its name from the muted, matte black nature of the finish. The flat black finish on the five directional spokes is machined away exposing the raw aluminum to create a wheel that will do anything but escape observation. IMAGE SERIES FORGED WHEELS Performance Machine wheels are the finest wheels available to the motorcycle aftermarket. Innovative and stylish, the fit and function of PM wheels goes unmatched in the industry. Each wheel is tested in-house to JASO and TUV standards to ensure its performance under real world riding conditions. PM wheels are offered in more than 15 different styles and sizes with matching components in a variety of finishes. PM offers custom finishes on select wheel designs. PM wheels are offered for V-Twin, Metric, and Sportbike applications.

All Performance Machine discs use a stainless steel outer band. PM uses a high grade 420 stainless that will not gaul or squeal like lesser quality discs. The latest version of PM outer bands can be removed and replaced once worn. All PM discs use a machined aluminum carrier and are available in 11.5”, 11.8”, and 13.0”. Our PM Cush Drive is strong and durable with ample rubber elements. All PM Revolution and Street Wheels use a common sprocket bolt pattern (same as 2004 ZX10). Stock sprockets do not fit PM wheels (except for 2004 ZX10).

4 PISTON CA L I P E R Having done duty on the GP circuit for a few years, the radial mount caliper is an obvious fit for the modern sportbike. By design, radial mounted calipers are stiffer than traditional mounting and hold alignment with the rotor much better.
