This new 106,622sf headquarters sits on 6.2 acres of the new 660-acre PGA Frisco campus, which will also include two new championship golf courses, a 500-room Omni PGA Frisco Resort and a golf entertainment district. The new building will promote the PGA’s mission to bring state-of-the-art education facilities and workplace together.

The ground floor was designed to serve staff, PGA Members and guests as a destination for the future of golf, including a video studio and education center. The lobby design features a wood wall sculpted to mimic the contours of the on-site golf course, terrazzo flooring and an open social stair to facilitate casual collisions between employees and PGA Members. Other floors are designed for workplace, consolidating the core to the center of the building to allow for 360 degree views out towards the golf course and neighboring developments.

Wellness played an important role in the design of the interior spaces, providing ample access to daylight, amenities such as quiet rooms, wellness rooms, and fitness, as well as delight with the inclusion of color and artful display of materials. The architecture of the building also incorporates outdoor terraces on each level facilitating an outdoor-indoor work environment.

As designer on this project, my responsibilities included planning of the building, consultation on WELL certification opportunities, design of various amenity spaces, renderings for client presentation, client presentation, construction drawings, construction administration, as well as consultation on FFE.
