1. MYOPIA
DEFINITION: It is also known as Nearsightedness and one of the most common problems of the eye.
In this eye problem, one can see nearby subjects visibly, but faraway subjects seem wooly. REASON: Due to Refractive Error Myopia problem arises. When our eyes do not focus and concentrate
light perfectly, then Refractive Error happens. Many doctors also admit that excessive use of the computer is also responsible for this. SIGNS:
Will face difficulty to see the distant subjects.
Eye strain and headaches.
Will feel distressed on eyes while driving or playing the sport.
TREATMENT: Based on the level of the Myopia, it can be corrected by wearing glasses, color contacts
and refractive surgery. If you wear glasses or cheap color contacts, the power will be a (-ve) sign. The increase of the power will prove that you are getting more nearsighted. If you want to avoid wearing glasses or contact lenses, you can go for the refractive surgery that can totally eliminate Myopia problem.
2. HYPEROPIA
DEFINITION: Another common problem which is also called Farsightedness. In this problem, one can
see the far away subjects easily, but nearly subjects seem very fuzzy. REASONS: Usually light ray enters into our retina directly. But if the light ray enters into it and focuses
behind the retina then this problem occurs.
SIGNS:

Will face a headache, eye strain or fatigue while working or doing something from a close distance.
TREATMENT: By wearing glasses or contact lenses one can eliminate Hyperopia. Glasses or contact
lenses will change the way of light rays so that it can focus into the eyes. If your prescription said that you need to wear +2.50 power glasses or contacts that mean you have Hyperopia. Also, LASIK can help you out to reduce this problem.
3. ASTIGMATISM
DEFINITION: Astigmatism means, when you will have an uneven curve into the top surface of your
eyes. Due to this error, the light ray faces disturbance to focus within our eyes.
REASONS: Doctors did not find any perfect reasons behind this problem. Children may have this
problem due to a genetic problem. Also, it may happen due to eye surgery or any other eye injury.
SIGNS:
Irritation in the eyes.
The fuzziness of images from all distances.
Will have a headache and fatigue feeling.
TREATMENT: To get a comfortable vision corrective lens is needed to reduce this problem. But if the
level of Astigmatism is not high it means if you do not have a headache, fuzzy vision or irritation in the eyes then you do not require lens. This problem increases very slowly. To maintain accurate vision time to time treatment is needed.
