Candid Say “A lot of people think that they can do acting classes and learn acting… I don’t think acting is something that you can learn.” Meezan Jaffrey In conversation with Deesha Mirwani, Meezan Jaffrey talks about his legendary grandfather Jagdeep, father Javed Jaffrey, being launched by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, his film Hungama 2 and more… The gorgeous Meezaan Jaffrey, son of Javed Jaffrey, is indeed one of the most swooned over hunks in the industry. Though his debut movie Malaal, directed by the legendary director, Sanjay Leela Bhansal, didn’t exactly make the box office figures dance in furore, Meezan still managed to garner decent reviews for his acting and his amazing dancing. Currently, his movie Hungama 2, a fun comedy co-starring Shilpa Shetty and Paresh Rawal, which released on Hotstar has won a lot of accolades. Read on as Meezan talks about his film journey and more. How has your journey been so far in the industry? It has been good and fun, I have been part of the industry indirectly because of my father (Javed Jaffrey) and grandfather (the legendary Jagdeep) so all I know is films, nothing else. I have grown up watching films and hearing about films. That’s all I love and all I want to do is make good films. But now that I’m actually an actor, the process has been surreal and great. Covid came and messed up everything but that’s happening to the entire world and everyone’s dealing with it. I am grateful for the opportunities that have come, there was Malaal and I received appreciation for the work I did there and now there’s Hungamaa with a legendary director and amazing co-stars, and I am happy to be a part of it.
